  1. The best thing Houston ever did was get rid of Bill O’Brien. I’m actually happy to see our division be decent again for a change. It’ll hopefully make all of AFC South teams better.
  2. I mean, the fan is literally a customer of their product. Pretty much anywhere else in society someone would lose their job for not “properly representing the brand”.
  3. At least for the last game of the season.
  4. Maybe the NFL should give some of the fines back to that fan… Come to think of it, I wonder what the NFL does with all the extra cash it makes from fining players…
  5. I was shocked at how well the Patriots fans accepted the '06 Championship loss. Some of them were legit happy for us and Manning to finally beat them. It was like the little brother finally getting a win against the bigger brother type of rivalry.
  6. Maybe it's a Pennsylvania thing? I mean the Steelers fans were trashing Tomlin and wanting him gone despite the fact that the dude has never had a losing season as a coach there.
  7. https://www.wishtv.com/news/local-news/every-touchdown-every-extra-point-every-time-chuck-leonard-has-seen-it-all-with-the-colts/ A huge congrats to Chuck Leonard our scoreboard operator on his retirement! We thank you and wish you the best!
  8. Yes, classy is a good word for it. Heck even they were angry and upset when the Colts sat the starters in the second half of that game. Some of them felt the win was cheap.
  9. From my personal experience, Jets fans are some of the more open and friendly fans. They're like the Cubs fans and Browns fans. They're usually super knowledgeable (I remember in '09 the Jets fans around us knew practically all of the Colts players by name) and they've suffered for so long that they go to the games just for the enjoyment of the sport itself. I dislike Aaron Rodgers and pretty much everything he stands for, but I hope he gets them back to relevancy just for the fan's sake.
  10. I've always stayed as an offensive coordinator. I've never had the desire to take the stress and demand of a head coaching job. And that's at the high school level.
  11. I legit looked at my comment after posting it and thought the same thing to be honest. It’s a bad take. Thought about editing it and removing it but oh well. You’re right. He’s not the #1 left tackle in the league so it’s true.
  12. I agree. That’s why I look at all pro as more prestigious.
  13. Raimann will get his dues soon. I imagine when the NFL Top 100 comes out next summer and people see his name that will push the needle a bit.
  14. I wonder if it’s communication issues due to playing in a loud and hostile environment.
  15. Love it, but yeah even if he isn’t a native Hoosier you’re right. We don’t waste drinks in this state.
  16. Did you see where they criticized the GM for not focusing on the offensive line more? Several posters responded with examples of how the Bengals actually have been working to get Joe protection each year, it’s just things haven’t stuck and or the coaching has not been up to par. Sounds familiar doesn’t it?
  17. I once ran a half marathon in Philly, way back in 2010 when I was much skinnier and healthier, and made the mistake of wearing a headband with the Colts horseshoe on it. Didn't even think twice because it was my lucky headband that I wore for any race I ran... It was a huge mistake in Philly. At first it was just some heckling and banter, which all people take part of. But it started to get ugly when they starting throwing cups and food at me. The heckling became angry yelling. Maybe they mistook the Colts logo for a Cowboys logo? I'll never know, I never asked. I ran like hell, took the thing off and went on my merry way. Mind you this wasn't even an NFL affiliated event. It was just a random summer race that I chose because I'm a history teacher and wanted to visit the city. There was no brotherly love that day nor the day I went to a Bengals vs. Eagles game back in 2012. Boy they were * off to lose to Cincy that day... Pushing, shoving, punching... Sad to say I never have had the chance to try a true "Philly" Cheesesteak. I've had plenty of versions in Indiana and Tennessee... Since 2012 I swore off the place and decided to never visit again. I'm sure for those who were born and raised in the area it's a special place with decent people. But from my two experiences I had enough.
  18. Fined $300,000 by the league for unacceptable conduct when he threw a drink at a Jaguars fan. https://sports.yahoo.com/nfl-fines-panthers-owner-david-tepper-300k-after-he-threw-drink-toward-jaguars-fans-from-luxury-box-230401550.html Even his apology was pathetic and not really an apology. This man is an embarrassment not only to the Panthers organization but to the NFL as a whole. Say what you will about Jim Irsay, but he would sure as heck never throw a drink at any fan regardless of the team!
  19. Realistic? Yes. He's going to be available for sure and I doubt he's going to be considered for a head coaching position. That said, I'd rather have someone that lines up well with Steichen. The old school coordinators are currently getting schooled by younger minds.
  20. This. A thousand times this. He's the exact one I want. And I think the Raiders are just crazy enough to make the same mistake twice and let him walk.
  21. Thanks man! That's how I viewed it. I was regretting letting Jefferson go at first, but then Nico went off and so did Jacobs. And Prescott ended up starting for me over Hurts for the 2nd half of the season. I figured the law of averages says I won't be as good next year, so I said to myself, why the heck not? Why not let him go and go all in for this year right? Another nice thing? He's not that big of a Richardson or the Colts in general. So I'll likely have the opportunity to pick up Anthony again next season.
  22. Yep, we'll get to keep 3 players from each previous season. Next year will be the first time we try it as a dynasty league. I was okay with letting Jefferson go because I felt this season was my best chance to win it all lol. Besides I've got a strong roster to build upon for next year, and you never know if a player like Jefferson will continue to have a meteoric rise or not.
  23. I was not expecting this thread, but by golly it's gold! How about in Haiku form? Colts charge, Texans clash, Gridiron dance unfolds fierce, Victory roars.
  24. I was dead last in my league last year, so having the #1 spot for the draft was huge. I managed to draft Jefferson, Hurts, AJ Brown, Mark Andrews, Richardson, Mostert and Hall early. Then after Jefferson and Richardson went down, I somehow convinced a guy to trade with me and picked up Josh Jacobs, Tee Higgins, Dak Prescott, Nico Collins and Khalil Herbert. (Yep, he traded all of those players for Jefferson and Richardson... and it kind of worked out with Jefferson because he proceeded to get to .500, squeak into the playoffs and then made a run all the way to the championship!) It sure helped that for some reason I was a curse for my opponents, as nearly every time someone went up against me one of their top players would either go down or just disappear in the game. In the championship for example my opponent (the same one who I traded with) had Jefferson in as the starting WR and proceeded to watch him go down with only 10 points. I chalk it up to it just being my lucky season for fantasy I guess!
