  1. It’s very much an us vs. them mentality. Except in this case people have put their stock in either Levis or AR and supporting or detracting the other is offensive. Egos are way too inflated around here nowadays.
  2. If you study his games in detail, you can clearly see him make multiple reads with his head turning. I recommend The QB School on YouTube. He gives you all the tape you need to evaluate AR.
  3. As far as head coach, doubtful. As an OC, more likely.
  4. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/seven-rookie-quarterbacks-expected-to-start-in-week-9-second-most-in-one-week-since-1970-most-this-early/amp/ 7 rookie QBs. All starting this weekend. 2nd most.
  5. Yes, you’re right. And holy cow I missed that on Clayton. Okay I really want to research this. It has got to be a record for so many to start in the same season.
  6. The online forum =/= the fans in the state of Indiana. In the state we’re a fiercely loyal group. The games in the early 90s were entertaining as a kid. The RCA Dome was packed, even with the losing seasons.
  7. I remember that one game where he dislocated his shoulder, and stayed in the game to win. Dude’s a dawg.
  8. I liked it too. But I think Fields will retake the starting role once he’s healed. Meanwhile, Garappolo is most likely done (benched on his bday… how cold) and Cousins is out for the year.
  9. Not to mention that if a linebacker is making a ton of tackles it means the defensive line isn’t getting the job done.
  10. I agree. He belongs in the discussion for maybe top 15 though because he did keep the team relevant and made the plays necessary to win it all. Average QBs can't maintain that level of competitiveness for 4 Super Bowls.
  11. How about this for a mind exercise: If Mahomes wins 1 more ring, does that put him above Manning? For me, it actually doesn't unless Mahomes goes to a different team and wins it all again. When a player does that, it signifies that their contributions are unquestionable.
  12. Only one I would change at the moment is Unitas over Mahomes.
  13. I agree. Contextualization is very important. Something I try to hammer into my student's minds as much as I can in the limited amount of time I have with them.
  14. We might have to put Aiden O'Connell on here as well since he might be the starter for the rest of the way. Maybe Jaren Hall too. Seriously, this season has to be a record for so many rookie QBs starting this season. And if even half of them have mild success, we could be looking at one of the best draft classes in years.
  15. Or... Or... We aren't benching Gardner because we are tanking *wink *wink
  16. At some point one of the franchises has to win a ring... Right? Right?! It's a weird feeling that my fandom has reversed now. For years it was the Colts who were stable with Peyton and every season felt like a chance to win it all. And now with Joe Brrr it's the Bengals turn for high expectations. I sure hope Cincy can finally experience that 2006 feeling. That's the best part about winning the Super Bowl, you can always go back and say at least we got one!
  17. The forum flies high during the week. Hope has returned and there's excitement in Richardson. And beyond that, Matt Gay is the hero of the week for coming up clutch in beating the Jags, something Colts fans haven't experienced since Vinatieri.
  18. Yeah, I don't see how they can go back to Tannehill after this.
  19. Yeah, that's the one thing to look for when watching rookie QBs (and RBs since that was my old position). How do they handle the bright lights? Do they seem overwhelmed? Levis didn't seem phased at all after getting hit over and over. Kept his eyes downfield and trusted his o-line, even after they started to fall one by one to injury. That final drive ended in an interception, but leading up to that I didn't see any panic at all. In fact I was super impressed with his clock management. Vrabel drives me nuts, but man does he know how to prepare his teams for situational football. They new exactly what to do with 1:44 left in the game.
  20. Even after they let Gruden go, they still owed him $40 million, and decided to cut a deal (most likely a lower sum) privately with him. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/raiders-reach-undisclosed-contract-settlement-with-jon-gruden-just-weeks-after-coachs-resignation-over-emails/amp/
  21. To be fair, his entire o-line was destroyed from injuries so Watt and company were feasting practically every play.
  22. I missed that. You’ve got to be kidding me. After the uproar across the league the refs did it again?
