What am I missing? How are these not contradictory?
Sorry, Kelly had the highest score on Offense. and Jackson had the highest score on Defense.

Yeah, I remembered him and the left side of the line were all average against the Lions. Actually, Castonzo was above average. They do have Kelly shown at 54.8 on the player grades so, yes, they did screw something up. I only found his 78 score against Broncos when I actually read the article. At least we know we are at least average for C, LG, and LT. We need to experiment a bit with the right side of line.
-
Actually, Ryan Kelly had the highest score of anyone against the Broncos at 78.9 and Mewhort came in at number 2.
On defense, D Jackson had the highest score of 85.
-
Good 47.9 Poor
Reitz 48.3 Poor
Kelly 54.8 Poor
Castonzo 74.2 Average
Mewhort 76.0 Average
No real surprises other than I thought Kelly would be higher, but I still love his play. He will get better. Reitz will not. Good is still a question mark.

Dang, I live in Murfreesboro, TN. I can't tell if I'm going to be getting the Atlanta game or the Colts. May have to spend the afternoon at Buffalo Wild Wings again.
-
Yes, hopefully Stafford will have toughened him up for Denver's lesser QB.
-
Well, I just saw Melvin as the 12th best graded CB and Cromartie was 18th. Maybe we should go ahead and role with those two.
-
Any guess on when Butler or Davis will be back?
-
I really think it comes down to Luck vs C J Anderson.

Colts 22.9 Broncos 22.0

Our 3 wr, 1te, 1rb set looks good against their defense. I think our new look offense rivals Carolina's so it will be interesting to see how the grades fluctuate after Denver. The big mismatch that works against us is Reitz vs Miller. Definitely need to utilize rb and te chip and releases. The big mismatch working in our favor, believe it or not, is our interior line vs Denver's interior line and inside linebackers. Colts offensive player grades against Detroit. Gore 48.5 Poor Reitz 54.3 Poor Good 72 Average Dorsett 73 Average Moncrief 74.3 Average Mewhort 75.5 Average Kelly 75.6 Average Hilton 78.8 Average Allen 79.1 Average Castonzo 82.1 Above Average Luck 95.2 Elite Colt's cumulative score = 808.4
Broncos defensive players grades against Carolina Keo N/A (I gave him a score of 50 just to be cautious) Roby 31.1 Poor Ward 36 Poor Wolfe 40.9 Poor Marshall 45 Poor Gotsis 53.1 Poor Ware 74.9 Average Talib 79.2 Average Stewart 79.4 Average Miller 81.9 Above Average Harris 88.7 High Quality Broncos cumulative score = 660.2
Anyway, Colt's offensive match ups against Denver's Defense looks good per PFF. Crossing fingers everyone stays healthy this time around playing Denver.

I hate to say it, as bad as I want to go defense in the early rounds, I think we need to spend one more year addressing the offense in rounds 1 and 2. We have neglected running back since Edge and it shows. We finally have a young and promising offensive line that should be around for awhile. The only question mark to me is still the RT position, but Haeg may shine before the season is over. Get 2 top flight RB's in rounds 1 through 3 and spend the rest of draft on defense hoping we find a couple more hidden gems like Anderson and Parry.
-
Reitz, D Jackson, and Mathis have all maxed their potential. Might as well give Haeg, Morrison, and Maggitt (sp?) a shot and see how PFF grades them out. Dline is just going to suck until Anderson and Jones get back. Really impressed with Melvin. We now have a legitimate group of cb's when healthy. (Davis, Cromartie, Robinson, Butler, Melvin). We just have to face the fact that the offense needs to stay healthy and come away with points on virtually every drive for the next 2 to 3 weeks as we start to clear out our defensive triage unit.
-
I haven't rewatched the game and probably won't, but Kerr really stood out to me while I was viewing live as the dlineman that really stunk up the place, I did, however, like what I saw out of Ridgeway.
-
The Lions offense doesn't suck. Stafford is a perennial 4,000 yard passer. They have invested a lot of high picks on their offensive line. And, their running backs are very elusive. Combined with our banged up dline, our below average and old linebacking corp, and our decimated secondary, I can't say I was majorly surprised. I was * as hell we lost by giving up a field goal the way we did. I was more impressed by the offense we have finally put together, Our dline and secondary, when healthy, are at least average. We just need to get younger and draft high IQ, high effort, tough coverage linebackers and edge rushers next year. LOL, I would say exclusively in next years draft 1st 4 rounds.
-
We need to take a page out of the Patriots notebook. Their line was very average last year, yet the offense put up great numbers. If your offensive line has trouble pass blocking and can't run block, you need to turn the short passing game into your running game. Short, quick drops and dump it off or throw darts on quick slants. Patriots kill teams doing that. We did beat the Broncos with less talent on offensive line last year so I'm still hopeful Chud will game plan better against good defensive teams like the Eagles during the regular season.
-
I'm hanging my hat on the fact we beat one super bowl team with Chud and took the other super bowl team to OT without Chud. We have a slightly better team this year and a far better coaching staff. My gut tells me will win the division barring any significant injuries.
-
From Nashville and I can say we are hated Originally from Ft Wayne.
-
My prediction is the Pats will sign Foster and get Calvin Johnson to come out of retirement,
-
Well, after winning the super bowl this upcoming season, I don't see any of the above rushers falling to 32 :). May need to trade up.
-
So, it looks likes our OL will be these 8. Castanzo, Mewhort, Kelly, Clark, Good, Reitz, Thornton, Holmes, Haeg. Who is going to get cut. I don't see us carrying 9.

Maybe Spriggs at ROT.

Hope New Orleans doesnt take Whitehair
