There’s plenty of Homes/neighborhoods in WL and surrounding area that can rival a lot of areas in Hamilton county, and for alot less taxes paid. And again, the #3 School district in the Country

That alone, attracts a lot of people to this area, not to mention Purdue, and all the industry.

I would move there just for the school system. Which towns are #1 and #2?

I have a bone to pick with your Vikings!!! West Lafayette High School Football played and won the state football championship last Saturday. Hazels son still goes to WLHS and is a receiver on the team, darn good one too! He won the IHSAA mental aptitude award after the game. His dad was unable to be in attendance due to the Vikings playing on Sunday....WTH? They couldn’t fly him down to Indianapolis (they played in Lucas Oil) for a few hours to watch his son play in the state championship? Seems odd.

The Vikings should have let the coach go. There must be some explanation.

What is the IHSAA mental aptitude award? Sounds like he is an intelligent kid. Does he have a future on Purdue?

  3. So what's next for Louisville? Who is a good coaching candidate?

Brohm has managed to turn this team around in no time, recruiting/attracting some great players, and has Purdue on track to be a force to be reckoned with. If I’m not mistaken, this coming recruit class will be his first full class. 2 bowls back to back years, yes meaningless bowls, but bowls nonetheless. A drastic change from the prior coach, Hazel, who is now the Minnesota Vikings Wide receivers coach:thmup:....so hey, a Purdue coach has indeed been offered a job in the NFL, just not as a head coach!!!! Willing to bet Tiller would have been a good NFL coach, RIP.

That coach has helped Diggs and Thielen become one of the best WR duos in the NFL.

lol, never heard that one before!!! Hey did you get tickets to the Bowl game yet??? Oh.....that’s right, Purdue denied you once again.........sorry about that, ok Not really!:catfight:

I know, I know, worthless bowl, but still a bowl!!!:thanks:

Lol. From the reaction of Purdue and Louisville fans, I assumed Purdue had won 10 games or better. :P

(I know, I know. Stanford only won 7 games this year, lost 4.)

'Minnesota Case' has shown up today...  15 of 28...2 TDs

I think he played very well today, better than when he was with us. He used to make some bad passes and needed the receivers to bail him out.  Some of us on the Vikings site (Daily Norseman) wrote that he was playing better today.

Hope the Colts make the playoffs but if they don't, I'd like to see Denver. The teams in the AFC that I am rooting most for are the Colts, the Chargers, then the Steelers, then the Broncos.

The Pats got that call but the Steelers have got so many calls in big games that it is ridiculous. SB 40 against Seattle, against us in 1995 in the AFC Title Game, even against Dallas in SB 13 they got a bogus Interference call where Swann tripped over his own feet that set up a critical score.

I still don't think any team gets more favorable calls than the Brady-led Patriots. It started with that "Tuck Rule" that was invented for him. Lol. Then during the playoffs with the Colts a year or two later, their defenders were touching and interfering with Colts receivers and they got no penalties. The following offseason the NFL instituted new rules against those. The name Pollard comes to mind. Did the Colts have a player named Pollard that was interfered with by Pats defenders during those playoffs?

Anyway, there have been so many calls in favor of the Pats the past 15 or so years.

You left the Steelers out, they get more calls than anyone if you look at SB's and Playoff games. The other 3 teams do get away with alot though. The Pats and Packers hold on Offense and Defense and get away with it over the years bigtime.

I don't know. Remember the Pittsburgh-New England game last year? That was a bogus call. Had that been called a catch, Pittsburgh would have won the game and would have had HFA, if I recall correctly.

if i actually thought it was fixed, i would not watch at all.  what would be the point in that?

Exactly. Some teams seem to always get the favorable calls (Patriots, Packers, Cowboys) but if I thought the games were fixed, I would not watch.

But people do like watching wrestling; so, to each his own. :dunno:

Texas A&M vs LSU went to 7 overtimes. LSU loses 74-72.

After the game some guy who is credentialed by A&M punched LSU assistant Steve Krapthorpe who has Parkinson's Disease. It seemed unprovoked. College football rivalries seem to bring out the worst in people.

Whats been Stanfords issues? Haven't watched much of them this year.

I have not watched as many games this year but I did watch some games early in the year. They don't have the same talent on defense that they have enjoyed the last few years. They have lost many players to the NFL the last couple of years. And Bryce Love has not played as well as he has the last two years. He was injured early this season.

Hopefully Stanford will play better to end the season. I expect a lot from them but I have to remember that they don't recruit the kind of talent that powerhouses like Alabama and Oklahoma can.

Congrats on KU's success this year. Sounds like they have some players that may be drafted early in 2019.
