I didn’t realize we could jump up that much. That’s something we could be happy about.

I figured we’d be at 18th or 19th. That’s more than a 3rd round pick in value to move up 4-5 spots.

we finished third in our division 2 years in a row now , ballard needs to start earning his paycheck

Yeah, it would’ve been cool to host the browns but let’s be real, we probably would’ve lost. And I’m not trying to be negative, but Nico Collins was the only threat last night and we had no answer for him. It just would’ve been defeat delayed a week and 10 slots down the draft board to say we made it to the first round? Nah. Maybe we can trade up from 16 to 10 and get someone worth while

ballard may trade from 16 for some seventh rounders thats his mo. quanity of picks if he drafts a bust it was just a seventh rounder, job security for cris

    tough pill to swallow.

Lawrence just watched a rookie fly by him as the one to chase in this division… and he’s got two more that are going to be catching up quickly

nick caserio for gm of the year in 2 seasons turned the texans from last in our division to the rulers of our division for years to come. ballard meanwhile has us after 7 seasons still has us going south

Seems to be the SAME needs on a yearly basis after ALL this time with Ballard. Same ol same ol with nothing new but unfulfilled years mounting under his tenure as gm.

biggest need a gm who uses all avenues to fill the roster, not just the draft and low tier free agents

I’ve soured on Ballard. I would’ve been fine seeing him the door last season. But now with a new coach and QB we’re stuck with him for better or worse.

I don’t know if he’s learned enough from his mistakes. I guess we’ll see.

our gm has been learning on the job for 7 years, seems like he didnt do his homework or skipped class, lol

It's a gentle process that happens over time and it seems to flow through every element of the organisation....from the fans upwards.

You only have to look at the post game thread at how many people think this is a good/great season and are happy to slap the team on the back for the mildest of achievements.

Give it 4 months and there will be people creaming themselves because we've picked 6 or 7 more guys with high RAS scores and long arms, we've basically got a rookie quarterback returning and we finished 9 and 8 but I don't see anything to get giddy about. We're a team that crumbles in the big moments and lacks talent in key areas. We're happy being mediocre and will make excuses in the face of any criticism. I can't help thinking that we get what we deserve.

the ballard lovers seem to be happy to lose and have below average talent,

We all know stroud is good. The media though is kinda is ridiculous acting like he is a god or something. He is also still a rookie. The over reaction seems silly.

media did that to us when we had luck, seems like fans fall for the media hype on players. but stroud has been good but he is still a rookie and good schemes can beat him. dial them up coaches.

I'd say the only thing he really did was get the franchise QB. If he got anything else besides a franchise QB, everyone would say the opposite.

With you saying that the Texans now have the best roster in the division, will you be changing your fandom from Jaguars to Texans?

he also got the best edge rusher in will anderson with smart moving up

Can't disagree more.  Win or lose it was a great season without our QB1.  Had our ups and downs, but we are facing a good team in the Texans.

imo nick caserio has put together the best roster in our division in only 2 seasons. his draft last time was imo the best in the nfl. but we can beat them if we get the breaks and dont beat ourselves.
