With this pick Whalen and/or Brazill will be gone
I like both of them too.

This guy at espn.com thinks Moncrief is the steal of the draft.

Wow #1 WR on day one? That's quite the compliment. I hope he's as good as that guy says.
-
He looks so slow. Looks like he gets away with his lack of skill by using his size. D linemen in the NFL are a different monster.
I'm not a fan of the pick.
-
I will only be watching the draft to hear Roger Goodell say Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.
-
Just because a person has money, doesn't mean a fine doesn't hurt. I think a fine and mandatory rehab makes more sense. Just like in the case with the Saints, if they did suspend him, he can just hand over control of approval to his daughter or someone else. So that wouldn't do anything.
I don't care who you are, hundreds of thousands of dollars is a lot of money.
-
Mack is definitely worth $12M. I just think the Browns think that too.
-
Only when he wins a Super Bowl.
A lot of luck goes into that. Being competitive enough to win a SB is what's important. Especially in this day and age of the NFL.
-
He also said he'd retire at the end of his contract.
-
Pfffffffffff..... I hope he was kidding.
-
i agree with you. If you read the whole thread you will understand what I'm talking about.. ;)
I understood what you were saying.
-
You can find his talent pretty deep in the draft. Its the new NFL where the secret to success is marginal qbs and number 2 wr's get paid like #1's.
-
FWIW Mike Martz just said on NFL Network he barely considers Decker a #2 receiver. So now he is a borderline #2. Ha, ha............. You folks have some serious hate going on. The whole Denver team disappeared. Seattle was just a whole lot better team.
I just don't see the talent there to draw that kind of money.
-
I don't know, that QB he decided to not sign has been pretty good for another team. What was his name? Oh yeah, Peyton Manning.
Are we really going start talking about Peyton Manning....
-
Revis going to get cut, so maybe he'll have no choice but to take less than what he's making
He'll take less, but how much less? is the question.
-
He's a kicker. There is no disadvantage of a new system or something. He already has a ton of jewelry from the NFL. Why wouldn't he want to maximize his value?
It's tough to just pick up and move at this point in his career. He's made plenty of money to where he could (and should) take a pay cut. Unless the Colts are offering jack squat....
-
So now he is a borderline #2. Ha, ha............. You folks have some serious hate going on. The whole Denver team disappeared. Seattle was just a whole lot better team.
I just don't think he is a "great wide receiver". He's going to want "great WR" money.
-
You think he'll want 16 mil once he gets released?
I think some team will be crazy enough to give him a multi year deal around 14.5MM per.
-
Gun to my head, I take it. With the cap going up it's worth the risk. However, if you had the choice of Sam Shields at $9.75 and Revis at $16, with no guarantees left on his deal. I would be hard-pressed not to take the best player in his position.
To each his own. We still don't know for sure what's going on behind closed doors with Vontae either.
Truly I don't think we have any idea what the GM's are willing to spend on Revis.
Disclaimer: I'm not Grigson or any other NFL GM.
-
And not even a quarter of the player Revis is.
I'd have no problem giving him $12M. $16M is just too much and I don't think anyone will give him that kind of money.
-
And not even a quarter of the player Revis is.
I disagree. Look, Revis is good, but not worth $16 million. TB didn't think so either.
-
Like Greg Toler.
Well he's almost a quarter of the price..... so...
-
He's not a #1 and is a borderline #2.
He's way too expensive for what he brings.
Not to mention he disappeared in the Super Bowl this season.
-
yeah, 16 million for a corner. brilliant
We can get talent at half the price.
-
I'd gladly take him back for a couple more seasons at $3M per. Until he shows he doesn't have it anymore, we need to keep him around.
He was great last season.
Kiper gives Colts draft grade D +

Mel Kiper and Todd McShay are jokes. How in the world do they keep their jobs and why does ESPN bring him out of his hole for 4 days a year?
Mike Mayock on the other hand is great. He's very knowledgeable and doesn't grade anything until he's seen them play in the NFL.
