  1. I like Tyler Scott from cindy but I don't know if we'll draft 2 WR. He can get deep
  2. I hope I'm totally wrong about this. He seems like a really nice kid. But I just watched game vids from him playing against TCU and Baylor and dang, he's a pass interference waiting to happen maybe he'll be OK in zone. I know he's tall an long and a big hitter... he also is a 4.53 guy at corner. Don't know. Like I said I hope I'm way off base
  3. I'm a little surprised that Brents is so high. If I read NFL.com correctly, he ran a 4.53 40. That's not great for a corner. And we've gone for faster corners recently. Rodgers is fast as hell and I think Flowers is very fast too. Second thought. I like Darnell Washington but sometimes, I think, the RAS scores show traits that don't always add up to the sum of their parts. He's talented, but lumbering. And Jonathon Mingo didn't get much separation in the vids I saw and THAT was in college. I like Mims and Tyler Scott a LOT more. Tyler Scott is damn good. AND a deep threat with speed...
  4. Dude. bite your tongue. No offense meant, but man, if all it takes is another pretty face to make someone a fan of another team, see ya. I lived through Pagel, Erickson, Schlichter, trudeau, Chandler, George, hog-e-boom. I'm a Colts fan man...
  5. I really want a WR. But MAN, I really like Drew Sanders the LB/Edge from Arkansas. He can play the pass, he can rush, he's terrific against the run. And we're a little thin at LB with Okereke leaving...
  6. With an arm like richardson's you'd sure like to add a deep threat WR. Somebody with some wheels. We don't have that right now. I also like the trade back idea if there isn't a first round type at 35. But I was checking over each teams remaking picks last night and there weren't many with extra 3s...
  7. I also like the trade back idea if there isn't a first round type at 35. But I was checking over each teams remaining picks last night and there weren't many with extra 3s...
  8. man, if Levis drops to the Titans and then our division will have Lawrence, Levis, Stroud and we hope ---- Superman
  9. I must admit after all the smoke the past couple of weeks, I am sort of surprised. BUT if we can get this kid to realize his potential he --- and we --- will be great, phe-nom-en-al. he is sooooooo talented. Now if he works. He's a gamble on greatness.
  10. You get a guy with a big arm, maybe a Jalen Hyatt is our reincarnation of Roger Carr. (daaaating myself ;))
  11. I will say, I expect they may go for one of the WRs that slip. Chappell has noted that in past drafts where we selected a young, franchise QB, they also immediately drafted receivers and OL. You pick one, you need to help him. And we don't have enough guys who can score. Giving up Parris didn't help...
  12. I like Sanders a lot. It helps that he can double as a pass rusher.
  13. Yeah. I think Flowers will be gone before 35. Also, there should be a lot of good, "coulda been a first rounder" players. One I like is the LB/Micah Parsons like rusher from Arkansas. Drew Sanders. Outside of scoring TDs, we need more guys who can put heat on the opposing QB. He's a very good rusher. Just not sure he fits Bradley's defensive scheme. But having Sanders would also help our LB unit. We've lost some dudes. I do think Jojo Domann will make steps this year...
  14. You all should look at that source's twitter site. the entire site seems pretty tongue-in-cheek...
  15. One of those WR are going to slide into the second round. If there's a guy there that can score TDs, that's who I want. Jordan Addison, Jalin Hyatt, Josh Downs...
  16. I think you missed my point. I wasn't trying to say Ricky Williams was a bum in the NFL, although he definitely was considered an underperformer. I was trying to say sometimes the really shiny thing is not as good as the one we don't really see... anywho
  17. You know, back in 1999, the Colts had just traded their all pro, HOF running back, Marshall Faulk. We had the 4th pick in the draft and EVERYONE expected we'd jump at the chance to draft Ricky Williams--- the Heisman Trophy winner who had had averaged over 2k yards a year for two seasons at Texas, and who had scored 44 TDs in two years. He was. The MAN. but we shocked everyone, took more of a project. A RB two good seasons, really good ones, but definitely less stellar, at Miami. And Edge was the right pick...
  18. I also like Levis a lot but have concerns about certain aspects of his game. Processing after the snap is one. But to be fair, one of the criticisms above "big struggles finding his rythm as a passer in 2022" was directly related to the OL problems they had. In 2021, he was sacked 22 times in 353 passing attempts--- once every 19 times or so. In 2022, dude was under fire. He was sacked 36 times in 283 attempts --- like every ninth pass. And that was just sacks. he was constantly working out of a very tiny pocket. You can see it in their game vids. Just sayin. https://www.espn.com/college-football/player/stats/_/id/4361418/will-levis
  19. It could happen. Say Young and Stroud are gone and the Colts aren't in love with either Richardson or Levis. there's still the chance of trading back --- a little --- and taking Hooker. I do think every move is on the table...
  20. I can't remember ever seeing anything quite like this before. Seen lots of players getting pumped up ridiculously before drafts, but I can't really remember a guy being dragged like this in the past. Especially a highly ranked prospect. personally i hope he sticks it in everybody's face...
  21. foolishness. sorry. I've been a fan since I was 13 in 1970. there were 20 years between Bert Jones and Peyton Manning. And we were bad for almost all of them... Here's my truism from 40 plus years of fandom. If you don't have a big-time QB, you should be trying to draft one EVERY year until you get one. You're not relevant without one. You're not getting married. You're building a team. hopefully one with about a 7-10 year window to compete for a Super Bowl. If you pick one and miss, pick again... Not having a QB is a little like being at bat, 3-2, bases loaded, bottom of the ninth. You HAVE to swing. Otherwise you have no hope...
  22. to quote the bard, "that way madness lies..." if you think we can just kick the can down the road and count on being one of the two worst teams in the league next year, then hope that both caleb williams and drake maye toss their hats in the ring... man...
  23. Well, you can count me in the "that would be incredibly stupid" side of Cowherd's argument. I'm also a Washington Wizards fan. For years they thought all they had to do to turn the corner was to save up all their free agency money and clear up cap space so they could sign home-town kid Kevin Durant. They still haven't recovered. When you have a shot at a QB you take it. Again --- it was TWENTY years between Bert Jones and Peyton Manning...
