  1. You are beyond blessed then. Enjoy every minute. It goes faster than you can imagine…
  2. when did I even remotely say he was going to fail? lol you are something…
  3. what does height have to do with how they play? He is most likely a slot receiver… Evaluations have stated he lacks the explosiveness to make big plays, plays to his strength of savvy route running, etc. Who does that remind you of? He gets best separation at the slot. I’m not interested in another Downs. One is enough, in my opinion. We need someone to take Pierce’s spot on the field and with the upside of being a number 1 receiver… regardless of if Pittman is retained long term or not. This guy ain’t it.
  4. that’s essentially what I’m saying. If he’s going in the 2nd round, then it means he is mostly likely our main taken receiver, and I’m not fond on that idea…
  5. Turner. Based on everything I’ve read. But I would wait for Verse… I think Chop could be a surprise similar to how the Raiders (not without controversy) took Clelin Ferrell in 2019. I don’t necessarily see any of them top 5, but you just never know…
  6. Like I said… he isn’t as quick as downs… notice the 10 and 20 yard split of the 40. Downs has a faster burst. Notice the shuttle and 3 cone agility rating. They are very similar, but downs is going to be a more explosive receiver. and at the end of the day, they aren’t near as explosive as some of these other guys. I don’t see a need for Pearsall. I see a need for some of these other receivers that can replace Pierce on the field and be the explosive players we need.
  7. while he tested well, he isn’t as quick as downs is. That’s his knock, he doesn’t offer explosiveness like others do in this draft, and like I believe the colts will look for. I wouldn’t mind having him, by any means. But he and downs play very similar from what I’ve seen. His history with Richardson would be a possible advantage similar to luck and fleenor. But I think it’s a long shot we go this route.
  8. One of the first mock drafts I’ve ever run. Somehow I ended up with Odunze and the titans 2025 1-3 rounds. lol.
  9. maybe on the roster list, lol. He tested at 6 1 and 189 lbs… he’s very similar to downs..
  10. I think that should be viewed as a need, whether free agency or the draft. Ballard likes versatility, and for good reason. Especially on the o and d-lines. Having a few guys, at the least, that can move around if needed, is necessary, imo. I think we need to start grooming our next center. That means drafting someone to sit behind Kelly for a few years while they develop. Now would be a good time, it seems.
  11. we’ll definitely know more before the draft. there will be some reports of extra meetings with prospects. We’ll obviously have signed several players (our own and other free agents) which will clear some questions up for what the needs look like and what that might do to the strategy. But you are right, we are throwing darts… and that’s ironic considering that’s what Ballard says the draft largely is anyways.
  12. seems like an early day 3 three Ballard type.
  13. downs was a 9, but their numbers aren’t far too far apart. Downs actually has a faster burst and 10 yard split. I just meant as a player. Pearsall is going to be a slot, and they seem to be very similar. not to say it wouldn’t be alright to have him on the roster, but not as our main receiver pick. I think we are looking at the other more explosive players. That’s pearsall’s big knock, is not as explosive as others.
  14. Pearsall. too similar to Downs, imo. Projected late 2nd
  15. I don’t see him trading up at all. And especially for a receiver. the only possibility in my opinion of trading up is to secure the first pass rusher off the board, but I don’t see that either. I’d like to see him hold and see who they take at 15.
  16. I’m trying to figure out his angle of constant mention of the depth of the receiver class. is he hoping others view it the same/see them as a viable threat to take one at 15? Are they looking to possibly trade up, or down and take one? Is he just laying the groundwork for why he takes a defensive lineman at 15, and waits until later for a receiver? there’s little doubt he’s working smoke and mirrors
  17. if the jury is out on Dayo, then you shouldn’t list Paye as a failure or underperformer. He is not, even if you believe him to be. Turay was very promising but injuries- and that can be said for several of those you listed- derailed their growth and careers. i will agree that scheme could be said for the perceived failure here. If you look at the players Ballard has drafted since 2017, the number that stands out is how many years in the league the vast majority of them played. Just because they don’t work here, doesn’t mean they are unsuccessful or untalented professional football players. I argue that their failures might be more coaching related than anything.
  18. He never fails at charming the media. it’s going to be either receiver, excuse me, “explosive pass catcher”… or defensive line. I don’t see it any other way. Maybe that changes after free agency, but I don’t see it.
  19. See a therapist. You don’t speak for the colts and especially for colts fans. You don’t speak for me. As a Colts fan, you should be equally as angry at the Colts for what they did to Andrew Luck…
  20. agreed. seems like a post where the op wanted to post something colts related, but that’s all that was on the google search. and I was the op.
  21. One would hope that it would have been Anderson… even with hindsight, it would have made more sense to trade back to somewhere in the top 10 with someone looking to take the top non-qb player in the draft, than to take Levis as the 4th qb in as many picks…
  22. I was the OP and the one you quoted. Lol. And yes, i was being funny and sarcastic at the same time. I think they probably do hold their weight in beer sales, but mostly because it's cheaper than most places. There's a reason the drunks drink before the game... I've been to more games at Lucas Oil than i can recount, and I really can't tell you an instance where I was around someone drunk. I know that there probably were at every game, but nothing like what I see posted online. I've never seen a fight at lucas oil like i see weekly posted online at what seems like the same stadiums
  23. I'm not sure about easily, but there are probably a couple teams in front of us with bowers close to the top of their board but could very well get their top guy. I don't see the Chargers taking him at 5. That would be a risk, when Harbaugh puts heavy emphasis on the trenches. Them passing up several top tackles in the top 5 for a tightend doesn't seem to be likely.
  24. I've like Verse for a minute... I wouldn't be sad about it.
