  1. If Texans win tonights game, then the superbowl will show two teams that have either never been or havent been to the big dance in at least 12 years. Texans have yet to make an appearance, Baltimore last showing was in 2001, Falcons was 1999, and the 49ers havent been since 1993 or 1994 I believe. I am hoping that patriots dont win tonight, because Id like to see some new faces in the big game. So my predictions are Ravens vs. Atlanta for the ring...the battle of the birds pt.2  Thoughts

  2. Of all the rookies that took the field this year, to me this guy was the pick of the year.  I mean we expected big things from Luck, Fleener and Allen, but I reckon Ballard's performance throughout the season easily exceeded expectations--if only we could get some OL to block for him (and Luck).

I actually didnt see allen being that good of a TE, Honestly at the start of the year I liked Fleener more, but to be honest Allen and Ty would probably be my two top suprise picks this year, Putting Ty first, Id also have to throw Ballard in there because this kid has been the best back we have had since James or Rhodes in my opinion...Could be to early to say this but He will be a good piece to our offense for a few years I think

  3. All I have heard is what is being shown through the media, Bears are the first to try any form of interviews and Browns are also there. Im not 100% sure if the browns is true, have to double check the sources...but to me I hope he says no to everyone, With his resume I think he can land a Head Coach job whenever he wants. I just hope he wants to stay and help develope this special group of guys we have here

  4. Im pulling for the Bengals tonight, Simply because Id rather see luck go in to foxboro beat the pats and make the AFC championship game Colts vs. Broncos. This way, no matter who wins in the AFC champ game Id be happy with the outcome. Id love to see Peyton take the Broncos to the bowl but Id rather him go through us to get there. and Of course I want us to go. Also Im pulling for the Vikings, no real reason at all. Also I got Seattle beating Washington

  5. only one person out on the injury report, not a bad report at all...it will help out a ton and we need all we can get for this game. Contain Rice and no turnovers on our offfense. Put the ball in Flaccos hands and force him to throw...I like our corners vs. there Wr.

  6. Im not talking about the structure of the team and Im not talking about for the future, Im talking about the interior of the team and this season alone. Which is a huge season if you ask me. We came from 2-14 to 11-5, released our franchise qb and drafted a handful of rookies, in which the team has relied on a lot. Sure the structure of the team needs work, but for right now and the time being our monster is made, next season starts a new beast....

  7. I say it's 75% Built. I don't think we're complete yet imo. But we're heading in the right direction

and Id say, I agree with that. We need to win this sunday and then see what we can do against Patriots(Bengals will beat Texans). So If we can win, with Chuck back and really the emoition of his departure kind of in the rear view, lets see what we got with him back, with out our home crowd roaring in the tear jerking return of Chuck. If we Win this week, Id say we boost a good 10% to 15% more towards completion of the Monster...Yeah?

  8. We have all seen numerous clips and footage of Chuck saying lets build a monster. That Monster has been built and I dont even know if any of us have realised it until now. Chuckstrong! that is the monster we have build, Chuckstrong has been the heart, fight, hunger to win, the passion of our team, and the way we paid repesct to Chuck. No, chuckstrong didnt give us our 11 wins, but it gave us a reason to win. When you think of monsters, you tend to lean towards towering beast with druel and slober, but our monster started off as just a simple hash tag for twitter and grew to be the topic of majority of the motivational locker room speeches. Greenbay Packers happpened to be the first to feel the wrath of our beautifully crafted monster and many other teams got that same feeling(Detroit, Titans, and Houston last week to name a few) our monster was not what we did on the field, but yet the emotions we brought to the field. When chuck came back he said to the media that everyone in the organization has done there part to build this monster now he needs to do his, what chuck is unaware of is, his character, his heart, his illness all where the centerpiece to this thing we got this year. Like I said above, we didnt win because of  #chuckstrong....We won because the heart of our players, the ability our players have to rise when everyone had us fallen, the passion and drive they brought each and every week, their own ability to be chuckstrong and never quit. Come sunday, For chuck, for the state of Indiana, and for every single player on that colts roster, Lets not let the beast die, not yet!

  9. No way.

Everyone knows the people on this forum including the Redskins fans and Texans fans are set up by the league to create a Luck/RG3 controversy.

How many times have you heard people here say, "Imagine if someday we have a Luck vs. RG3" Super Bowl.

They are setting one up this year folks. The first all rookie QB showdown in the big game. Luck vs. RG3.

They are done with Manning/Manning vs. Brady and know they need something new to market for the future and with the early success of Luck/RG3 they have decided to start now.

It's all about Luck and RG3 now and their youth/spark and money making ability.

You see it clearly. They are already weakening our opponents. Gronk out for the Pats, Suggs tears his biceps, Big Ben hurting, Manning loses his veteran RB and Houston has been giving up more yards/lost Cushing.

In the NFC they forced Harbaugh to switch QBs, Eli has been forced to play down, Saints tanked, Packers players dropping like flies and the Bears D is hurting.

    It is so obvious!!!!!!

    /sarcasm

yeah see, and if this were to happen soooo ooohh so many people will say it was set up to happen that way because of all the reason you explained. Glad we are on the same page!
  10. Every Year at the Beginning of the season my girlfriend tries to tell me the NFL is fake and set up, claiming they already know who is going to the playoffs and who will win the superbowl. Now I obviously wont and dont believe her, but What would the odds be that first round of the Playoffs Andrew Luck and the Colts head over to PA to play Bruce A. old team and Big Ben(who luck is compared to alot). Then we head over and Play Peyton Manning and the Broncos where Luck gets to face the Man this organization has seen the past 12 years. With the Broncos pulling away and heading to the AFC Conference game to Play against New England, we would have yet another Brady vs Manning Show down. Broncos would win that game in a shoot out. Which takes Peyton back to the Superbowl, or better yet, back Home to his dads old stomping grounds to play nobody else but little brother Eli and The Giants. Talk about a nice set up. Big Brother vs. Little brother on dads old turf, With Big brother winning to match little brothers ring total.....Yeah! if any of this happens Ill believe the NFL is Rigged....Just thought Id share my thoughts on it, and hope my girlfriend isnt the only women out there that believe the NFL is like a big Soap Opera

  11. These two will be compared to each other forever, regardless of what any of say or think. To say comparing these two is pointless because they both play in different eras or have different styles could be true, but its almost as equal to say whats the point of Keeping records. If someone breaks a single season record. That season will be compared to the season of the previous record holder, whether it be held by someone a 100yrs ago or last year, it will always be compared. So whats wrong with comparing one elite qbs year with our team to our new up and coming qbs year. Stats are stats just thought it was a nice little tid bit of information to see.

  12. Peytons Rookie stats look like this First 5 weeks - Total Sacks 11, Yrds 1,129, 12 int, 4 td Luck Rookie stats 5 Weeks - Total Sacks 9, Yrds 1208, 5 int, 7td Now this could mean something, or it could mean nothing. I started watching the colts when Peyton was drafted, or at least thats what I remember. So lets keep in mind that Luck has a bye week in with his stat line for the first 5 games. I only did this because we all know its going to happen and how people are going to say what ever it is they will. Just thought it was interesting to see that lucks 4 games in 5 weeks is better looking than peytons 5 games in 5 weeks. I dont think Luck will be better than Peyton..but numbers dont lie and this kid is doing some pretty amazing stuff. Just interesting to see. I will probably Do another Peyton vs luck after week 10 and another at the seasons end. Just to see for fun

  13. I know some are, just trying to gauge the likelihood that I'll be near other Colts Fans.

I'll be in section 142 on the colts side of the field.

I'm going!! My second Colts game.

You guys both live in New York/ New Jersey area? I just kind of always thought you guys lived in Indiana is why I am asking. If you do live in indy thats awesome you travel to go to a away game. I want to do that some day travel to an away game
  14. As I was leaving Lucas Oil to walk to the Colts Bar & Grille to catch the broncos vs pats game, I was pondering the same question. Could be a playoff team this year and shock everyone? What team has the best chance to beat us(on paper)? Could we upset the Texans like we did Greenbay? Could we win the AFC South? I have no answer to any of the questions, simply because I cant tell the future, but I will root for the colts come sunday or Thursday vs Jacksonville. I think we can win every game, while mainting the though that the opposing team looks alot better on the stat sheets.

  15. Im loving the Chuck Strong written down the side of the colts homepage. It gets me pumped for the game this weekend. Thinking our team has a feeling that they need to win this not only for the W, but for the sake of Chuck. Just to show we can do this with him in recovery. I am excited to say I will be at the Green Bay game and I hope this team does something special.

I dont see them winning this game but It will be exciting to watch.

Not ruling them totally out yet! still have my faith for a colts W come Sunday afternoon.

Stay Colts Strong, Be Chuck Strong!

  16. Seriously? I went to my local Dick's Sporting Goods to shell out $100 on a nice new Andrew Luck jersey, and they look like this.....

    pDSP1-13930968p275w.jpg

What genius made the numbers so small they only go down to the bottom your sternum? It looks ridiculous......like a chick jersey. Even my sister thought it looked dumb. I don't normally like to complain about mundane things but needless to say, Nike, the corporate giant, lost out on my $100 today. I'm sure others agree with me.

I think I am going to get me a Luck Lights out Black Jersey...different look and I think its made by reebok

  17. Its safe to assume that there are alot of gamers on here and I just wanted to give you my 2 cents on a game I recently purchased.

I don't know if any of you are into "sandbox" games such as GTA and the like but I just finished Sleeping Dogs and it hands down is superb. I have always been a big fan of GTA but sleeping dogs blows GTA out of the water. With great hand to hand combat with environmental weapons such as table saws cars and engines on engine hoists. Ice chippers and gates to close a store front. This game is outstanding! A fantastic storyline (asian gang war) and many many other sub missions; it is definitely worth checking out on gamefly or renting. Anyways its an awesome game!

I actually have a youtube channel for gaming and I bought sleeping dogs to do a series of...but never uploaded for personal reasons...but anyways i agree this is fantastic storyline and the side quest/missions are just as fun as the story awesome game

  18. I have been looking online for a Jersey to wear to the Colts Vs Packers game. I just typed in a few jerseys I would like to have like Rober Mathis Home jersey..and I got a bunch of wholesale sites. Wholesale sites have always seemed to be a little sketchy to me. The prices are really really cheap and its like oh! this is a great deal...but Im not about to just fork over some cash to some wholesale joint that will take my information and run with it. So where do you guys get your jerseys at?

    Thanks for the help guys!

  19. I realize these are predictions and I think you've made good choices.... I might change one here or there, but there is no team that jumps off the screen as clearly and obviously not belonging on your list.

The problem is this.... (and it's not your fault)...

Is that often some team that looks good, but not great for the first 3 months, suddenly catches fire in December. The Giants did it twice for their two Super Bowl wins. No one saw it coming when they did.

If memory serves, the Packers got hot late in the year they won it all.

And, without trying to bring up painful memories, not sure anyone saw the Saints winning it all their year, at least not when it was September of that season....

So, it's often hard to see the winning team coming. At least this early in the year.....

Yeah I agree, this is just kinda what I was thinking as a whole from talent to schedules to who is doing hot now. I agree, at the end of the year some teams stomp on the pedal and never let up. So I hope I predict right but I know it can swing in any direction

  20. nice write up :)

I'd also consider that the Packers and Patriots could both very easily catch fire again, same with the Giants. There's a lot of "almost" teams. If you asked me to replace any of the 4 you mentioned with any of the ones I said, I don't know if I could. One thing I've liked about the last several years has been the parity and unpredictability - at least in the top half of the league.

Yeah I would throw in the the packers and the giants as well with the Pats. I agree, these past few years have been unpredicatable.
