  1. yes he does, but Gilreath and Brooks weren't even giving us that tonight. I think Gilreath makes it as the punt returner but I am not sure we can use him as a WR. Honestly Smith's biggest compatation might be from two guys who didn't even play tonight, Gonzo and White.

Thats very true, I just dont know if Gonzo is going to come back. I mean he is like the bob sanders of WR's and his injuries are getting a bit old. I think Taj did good tonight, but he did have a 1 dropped pass(from what I saw) and that one pass could have added alot to his stats/ratings in my book.

I think Gilreath will be our preferred PR and Im not sure about Brooks...Maybe PS, I dont really know on him!

**Keep in mind, some are a little bit of reaches, but those are what I honestly believe. Manning shakes off the rust by Week 2, and has a great year. Brady misses 2 or 3 games, Rodgers misses 2 games, and Brees has a great year. AP comes in 2nd to Charles. Andre Johnson comes in 2nd to Fitz, and Wayne in 4th, but has a great year. Dallas Clark gets over 1000 yards, and comes in 2nd to Gates. I honestly believe that Freeney has a great year, then goes on a slow decline. Mathis has 11.5 sacks. Jerraud Powers has a breakout year, 5 INTs. Bethea has a great year too. Ed Reed has one of the best seasons in NFL history with 10 INTs. Those are my picks.

I agree with this 100%...I have seen the article where the NFL analyzers think The colts arent even going to the playoff, and Peyton manning isnt even a thought for MVP or having the most Passing Yard this year....SO I really like your predicition, and im tired of seeing all the negative media that is surrounding the colts.

  3. If Peyton gets back to Peyton form quickly I could see us going between 11-5 to 14-2. No 16-0 becsuse Caldwell will take peyton out so we can lose to whoever we play. If Peyton misses any games, we could most likely chalk those up as 'L's on the schedule. But I dont see Peyton missing anytime... I just hope he shake off the rust quickly. And kick butt, starting with Houston.

If peyton is 100% healthy and ready to go in Houston, I think first game will change a few peoples minds. BUt there is also a chance we could go 16-0. Because Im pretty sure the last two games of the season are AFC South opponents. We need to start the season 1-0 and let everyone know that Texans are not taking the AFC South crown from us!

  4. IF Peyton cant go week one, we have collins that can lead the team, but a video I seen somewhere Peyton said if he needs to he can go out lead a series or two and then sit out the rest of the game.

If this is the scenario that the colts are willing to take, I think our chances of winning are greater. Our defense has looked better this year, all except the secondary...The oline has been looking better, which might be able to make us a team that can run alot more and better. If we need collins to run this offense I thnk we will be fine. Peyton said the team gave him rights to allow him to decide when he is ready to play so I am thinking he will be back and ready to fire on all cylinders.

  5. I think if Lions First team can beats pats First team it should be a breeze for our colts First team to dominate. However we play them late in the season which will give time for Bill to make improvement and make sure his team is ready for the Indy Colts.

I still think though, with it being preseason and the fact most teams try during the last two games of the preseason try. The confidence I have in colts beating the Pats in Foxboro are stronger.. :foam:

  6. Their offense was stellar, and Shaub quickly shook off that INT, and played very well. Their running game was good, and their passing game was good. The most impressive thing was their defense, their pass defense especially. The put good pressure on the 49ers, who have a similar line to the Colts. They got 3 sacks. They easily stopped the run, holding them to 55 yards, but like I said, the pass defense was stellar. They held them to 69 yards in the air, and picked them off twice, and they allowed no Tds through the air.

I don't know, Manning not ready, not even sure if he'll play Week 1; Texans looking real good, especialy on defense. If your a betting man, you have to like the chances of the Texans in Week 1. Now, I'm a Colts man, so I always like the Colts chance! :) Thoughts on the Texans, and the game? Think they got a good shot at the division and a Week 1 win?

I think the Texans beef'ed up their D tremendously, however the 49s dont have a starting qb or any qb that is nearly the caliber of even a unprepared Peyton Manning. I do think the texan are a threat for the AFC and their D has look good in all preseason games. I just have confidence that if we got 18 and our D steps up like they have. this game will be very close but with a colts W in the end. Just my opinion but I agree with what you said...their pass D has been stellar, not just this game but every game....but you also have to put Peyton kind of in his own category...no one plays this game like 18, so are the Texans DBS up for that challenge...only week 1 will tell
