What do you guys take from it? To me it sounds like he offered Saturday a front office or coaching job, He says
"We wish Jeff Sat the best,I wanted him to work for team full time but he wanted to go at it one more year..he's as good of a man as it gets"
If he is offering him an oline coach job, would you guys agree or disagree with him in that position. Do you think he is good enough to coach or no?

I wasnt a Luck Believer before his proday, and even after im still kind of skeptical, but not as much really, because I seen him throw the ball deep several times on the money, in the wind. He was dropping the ball right on the guys and made look as if he was still warming up. He did have the guy with the broom as pressure, but that really isnt any where close to the pressure of a whole defense. so Yes he did great against the little pressure he had and was able to keep his eyes down the field and make the throws.
He also did the quick throw with no drop backs. and every time the ball went right to the receiver, some throws on this drill were a little high but regardless they made it to the receiver and quickly. I would be happy to have Luck over RG really. RGs day was indoors and with his proday his drop backs were sketchy for me for some reason, his PA Passes just werent selling me that he was faking a hand off as good as Lucks did. and RG3, almost every pass I seen from him was a bootleg type motion, and Im not a huge fan of that. Luck stayed in the pocket and drop the ball on his receivers, 30, 40, 50, and 70 yards out. no problem

In the Presser Peyton said he was leaving the colts not the city of Indianapolis. So to me that means he is still living here, Right? If he is still going to live here then why would he live in a town that is the rival to the team he is currently playing for, you know. Who would do that.
I know its just as easy for him to relocate and with him relocating that would most certainly cut off all ties he has to indy, and that would hurt

I like RGIII more than I do Luck, RGIII is a dual threat qb who is pass first run second. he is an accurate thrower and has the ability to extend the play. Luck can run to but come on, we all heard about RG3 40 time.
I found this article and made me like Griffin just that much more. Im just not a fan of Lucks yet, and the media has him sold to the colts already. In previous years it was always suprising to see what the colts would do in the draft, at least to me it was. So maybe they will suprise people again.
Also, RG3 moved his proday to 1 day before Lucks. This will allow more scouts to come check him out at his proday and maybe even better his chances to land on the colts roster.

I think it will come down to either Broncos or Dolphins. Either way I wouldnt mind it.

never would have thought Manning would be the one to get cut, I mean, I though Mathis or Wayne, heck even Saturday would be cut before peyton. but I to think this is the best. and now I have two teams to support next season, although if it came to the colts vs a peyton lead offense Im taking the colts regardless...just wish he was still with us

I like the Broncos or Dolphins as his new team. Dolphins have a good run game and a decent d(I think). The broncos. I liked the broncos since I was a kid, just because there colors...but they have a Good Wr a good D...But I dont know honestly

My eyes watered up for sure when Peytons started talking. I couldnt get emotionally into it when irsay was talking, Just couldnt get past all the umms and Uhhs irsay was spitting out.
All jokes aside seeing Manning getting choked up sucked. I wish it wasnt like this but I said it in another thread its for the best, best for him and the colts. Best wishes to Peyton and To win another MVP to be the only player in nfl history with 5 MVP's I think.
Tom Brady May have superbowl rings but Peyton has MVPs and to me That means He is the Greatest. It takes a team to win a bowl, but only 1 man can win the MVP and Manning is the man.

Id like to have a Mathis Jersey, or Angerer. I will probably get a jersey with Mannings new team on it. All I got now is Freeney, Dallas, and Eli(weird I have a Eli But not Peyton Jersey)

we will probably have a few losing season to come. We dont have really and game changers, or threats. you know, nothing a team has to prepared for except 2 defensive ends. thats its. I just dont see Luck fitting into this new Era of Colts football. I really Like RG3 more because he is a dual threat, Of course luck can run but RG3 is alot faster and I like Griffins passing game better than lucks.
Today Honestly sucked, but its for the best, for Peyton and this Franchise. Today, A hero left the Franchise and will bring wins to a new team. Which ever that Team May Be ill for sure get me a Manning Jersey for whatever team he goes to.
I started getting into football in like 96, the only thing I knew was we had a good rb named Faulk, and I even went to the kids training camp thing he did that same summer I believe. Then we got Manning and He is really the only player I grew to know in a colts uniform. I started watching football when i was 7 years old. I am now 22. 14 of my 22 years watching football were all peyton. I am a fan of his and of the colts. I just hope he gets to finish his career on a good note

I just have one question, Can any team sign him or does he have to agree to the deal. I know it sound stupid, but can he just say Im not going to take any deals or any team pick him up?

Heres my thoughts on the whole thing. If the colts really were going to get rid of manning they would trade him to a team in need of a qb and get a few extra picks or a player out of the deal. They Arent just going to release one of the best qbs in the game today for nothing. So with this said, I think they are releasing him from the roster until the start of the new league year so they can resign him at a more franchise friendly cost. I think its all about avoiding the 28 million bonus or whatever it is. Maybe Peyton agreed he didnt deserve the money because he wasnt able to participate this year and knows we cant delay the deadline any further

I like RGIII better than Luck, but I think Peytons time is done. and Its time to cut the ties and move on to a new face, a new feel, and I think it starts with RGIII. Luck is like another peyton and he might not pan out, but heck RGIII might not either so Its tough either way you look at it, Take luck Lose manning, keep Manning lose luck, but get RGIII or Dont even try for luck Get RGIII Lose manning and start fresh

Id like the colts to take RGIII, Im just not a fan of Luck and really havent been.
I didnt really know anything about RGIII but Id like a qb on this team that throws first runs second. and when they run, they have the speed to take it all the way if possible. And Griffin has said over and over he is a pass first run second, he loves the pocket and he is a qb with athleticism. So Griffin is the guy I think the colts should get, if they want to change our team around, Griffin is the best place to start in my opinion

Seems like to me we might become another team with a very strong defense but a poor offense, if we lose manning and luck doesnt pan out, we have no run game to back up or offense.

True, I guess he could be a "hybrid" lol, someone that fits in both categories but is stronger I think in the Championship, He ranks in both I guess now that you mention it

Based on this flawed logic, Montana would never be considered one of the greatest since all he ever did was win SBs.
And btw, Brady DOES have the statistics. Take a look at the record books.
Actually he would, in the Championship division I was talking about, Brady, Big Ben, and Montana and Im sure others that have more than 1 ring are considered great, which they are. but you can just use that statistic alone because look at manning 1 ring but has a ton of good stats, look at montana 3 or 4 rings and not very good stats..so that what I am saying about dividing the qbs

I think I would like the idea of Saturday being the Coach for the Offensive line. IF he can teach the center the line audibles and different protection schemes then Id be all for it. but I think that would more fall on the future centers ability to want to learn these skills
