  1. Even though I did pick the Broncos, I am suprised Green Bay was this bad.

And I am sorta on the "Broncos defense is awesome" wagon now.......

I have a headache now. Sigh..........

And how can the AFC have 3 unbeaten teams? We will have 3 awesome division winners and then the Colts.

I think it's more the Denver D is that good (I know, you said so on your next line). If Denver can keep massaging that Offense and making it better, they will be incredible.

  2. Can we strip 7 points from NO for getting that spectacular interception called back on an iffy defensive holding call on our LB? Can we strip more points away after that fumble recovery was stolen away from us on a NO TD drive?

Anywho.... it should be considered that the NO DB couldn't find his sea-legs because he was aboard the USS Hilton, a shifty and difficult breakout receiver to cover.

haha Did you just make that up, or have I missed it somewhere else?

  3. One option I've thought of is that Irsay could consider putting Chudzinski into the OC position.  He did well at that position in Cleveland and in Carolina.  Give Chuck more of an active role with the DB position.  Then make a decision at the end of the season in regards to what you want to do.  Of course, this totally eliminates any power Grigson has now.  I think the players like Pagano and want to play for him, at least from what we hear from Andrew.  Of course, he certainly wouldn't say anything negative about his own coach.

I think Andrew will improve at that point because playcalling would improve.  I'm not sure what to do about pass protection and pass rush. I had high hopes for Mathis but he seems rusty right now.

I don't think bringing in a new HC who knows nothing of the organization or the playbook works midseason.

    I especially agree with this.

  4. Remember "Lord Help our Colts"? I don't know that that was heard outside Indianapolis/Indiana. May be time to resurrect that piece to help get us back on track. :) When the local station starting doing that, it was appropriate, but the Colts grew out of the song making any sense. I'm not totally pessimistic and haven't given up on the season, but the timing to bring it back would be good.

  5. Yeah, we should follow suit. I wonder if Pep is getting more and more worried as these stories are made public.

Me too. I believe the piece eluded to the prospect of other changes in the NFL. Unfortunately, the Colts would be in that discussion.

  6. I am, by no means whatsoever, giving accolades to the Colts in this game. However, I don't understand the whole idea behind "this game wasn't even close". Isn't it about who has the most points when the game is over? The Colts didn't, of course, but they were within 1 score. The Colts were outplayed the majority of the game, but they made a good effort to get back in, did get back in, but fell short of victory. It wasn't close as far as play execution over the majority of the game, but in total play execution resulting in points, they were right on the heels of the Saints.

  7. The cold, hard fact is Ty 's two touchdowns came because the same defender fell down on both TD's so had he not fell down the final score could have been Colts:7. Keep in mind the announcers said all day the Saints coverage was way over Lucks head,

I don't recall which play, but at least one of them TY had to reach way out to catch it. There's no way the defender would have been able to overtake him and defend the pass.

I hit the rewind to look back at both those catches.

  8. It's starting to become difficult.

It can be hard, but you have to find a balance. I don't know what that might be for you. There was a time when I was similar in my thoughts. Heck, that feeling tries to creep in from time to time even now. You can't let your life, or attitude revolve around the outcome of a game, season or the Colts. Even when the Colts are at their best and winning, you should keep your euphoria in check. Don't let that natural high (regarding the Colts) be the most important feeling you have. This is all my 2 cents worth.

  9. It was encouraging to see Brady hang 30 on the best defense in the league. I  hope they can keep it rolling ... it has been a joy to watch.

According to the NFL, Denver still holds the top spot for Defense. Although, I do recall one of the talking heads saying best D against best O. But, NFL still shows Denver at the top.

  10. He didn't rally the team. Delvin Breaux falling down rallied the team. Otherwise this game wouldn't have even been remotely close.

I don't know. I backed up a those plays to watch again and I think they would have been a catches either way. Particularly that last catch, Hilton had to reach way out to get it. I don't think Breaux would have overtaken him and defensed the ball.

  11. LOL, no disrespect for the Pats fans here, but I don't think I've ever rooted against a team playing against the Pats. I say never, but I believe there may have been one game where I rooted for the Pats. I'm perplexed as to which game that might have been.

Maybe I figured it out. Didn't the Pats beat the Chargers in the playoffs to advance to the Championship game in Indianapolis? Maybe I'm wrong. Not going to look it up right now. Wouldn't the Colts have to have gone to the Chargers if the Pats lost?

  12. It seems like most fans of opposing teams dislike the same two teams: the Cowboys and the Pats. I don't dislike many teams but I root against those two. Last year, I attended the Colts-Giants game. I could not root against either. I like both organizations. On Sunday, I will be attending the Cowboys-Giants game. It won't be too hard to root for the Giants.

  13. What kind of questions might the cheerleaders be asked?

    1. So, what did you think about the other cheerleaders' pyramid?

    2. Your squad being out of sync, do you think that had an adverse effect on the team?

    3. Do the other cheerleaders ever talk smack to you?

I guess it doesn't really matter what they ask the cheerleaders, I'd still tune in. :)

And I'm not disrespecting the cheerleaders here. I know they practice hard. Just wondering what a locker room interview would be like.

  14. Or if they decided to interview cheerleaders after the game. Long live the media!
