  1. Earlier in the year, when all 3 were playing, I thought Wilkins showed the best "vision".  I also liked how he presented tacklers with poor contact angles that allowed him to twist, turn & slip forward, upping his yards after contact, and giving him a nice YPC average. That ended up backfiring a bit though, as it was the 2nd or 3rd defender joining in after initial contact, that ended up punching the ball out from behind. It happened a couple of times, so I've been thinking they have him grinding on his ball security after contact.

  2. I feel pretty certain Good did not meet the teams defined weight goals, and at 345 pounds, chronic knee and ankle issues were inevitable. I don't think he truly understands what "taking care of your body" means or how much potential he has at the 315 pound mark. I really rooted for him. Too bad.

For me, this happens when hovering over a thread. Instead of the preview window popping out and displaying the initial post, the loading icon (spinning wheel) displays (hangs). It's quite annoying. Moving my mouse over another thread then returning normally works to overcome the lag and pop out the preview window (in firefox).

At work, where I have internet explorer running the issue becomes much more annoying. The loading icon spins away and the mouse freezes in the hover position. Unable to hover over another thread and return, I'm stalled. After some period of time, a message box appears and tells me about a long running script.

I have to sneak in from the right and click on the thread before the hover feature engages to navigate the page.

This has been an issue for a very long time now.

So it's a little over 2 months later and this issue remains unresolved.

I didn't note it in my original post, but when the pop out preview window is forced to display, their are 2 tabs in the window. Tab 1 is the initial post, tab 2 is the latest post. Tab 2 does not respond and display the latest post.

  4. WARNING The highlight below may be difficult for Colts fans to view...

    Yards after the catch

Walford showed an ability to run after the catch when at Miami, and flashed those abilities in his rookie year. Here he slips the tackle for a touchdown:

Yes, TJ Green on the coverage! :Gaah:

  5. The good news is; the Colts are one of the top scoring offenses in the league. Only Mahomes (31) has thrown more touchdowns than Luck (26) this year. The Colts are also the highest scoring offense the Titans will have faced so far this year. They Colts WILL score on the Titans.

On the flip side, the Titans don't light up the scoreboard as a rule; 169 points in 9 outings for an 18.8 average ppg.

I'd rush 4, but send a safety around the edge every once in a while to put Mariota down and/or force some poor throws.

I like the Reich & the Colts in this one.

I love that our coaching staff place our younger guys and more inexperienced players in situations, where they need to make plays.

Agreed. And Moe Alie-Cox let the ball hit his chest instead of catching it with his hands. A youthful mistake that's easily correctable. I see NO reason to bash him. I like what he brings to this young, growing offense.

Way to much soft coverage.  We are very predictable on defense.  The linebackers and DB's move back and drop into coverage before the ball is snapped.  Seriously?

    I feel ya...

Mitchell & Hairston were both ruled out for this game and it was revealing. We just don't have the DB's to play good man coverage (yet). The 2019 draft needs are becoming clearer with each game.

  8. Geathers had Greens left hand pinned to his stomach, leaving only his right arm to secure the ball, and Moore separated them. The replay showed a floating ball above his forearm before his knee touched the ground. It was a Fumble! They only thing they got wrong was calling him down in the first place and denying Hooker a FR for a  TD.

  9. The Jags don't generate a lot of points when they have to go 75 yards. Forcing turnovers, short fields, & playing with a lead are keys for them. To that end, I think they'll pound it inside with a lot of cutback running, use every type of screen play they have to test the Colts tackling in space and take advantage of any over pursuit or hyper aggressiveness, and take some well disguised shots down the field.

Patience, especially early, is key for the Colts offense against a generally stout Jags defense. NO turnovers and remaining balanced in their approach will reveal their match-up advantages as the game moves along. The Colts defense must tackle well, play gap sound, and be mindful of the creative deceptions the Jags will attempt to create offense. The longer the game goes without self inflicted wounds, the more the advantage shifts to the Colts.

Special Teams needs Vinny to be Vinny,  and to be sound throughout to keep the Jags offense looking at long fields.

Bottom line; the Jags will need the Colts to beat themselves with turnovers and undisciplined play. Absent of that, the Colts will go toe-to-toe, establish control, then bury them.

  10. The Raiders last 3 games were; Seahawks, Colts, 49'ers.

Both the Seahawks (6 sacks) and the 49'ers (8 sacks) absolutely mauled Carr and the Raiders Offense.  The Colts, as we all saw, had no sacks.

Carr had a QB rating of 83.0 against Seattle, 99.5 against the 49'ers, and 136.6 against the Colts.

The Colts needed this bye week to get some guys healthy for sure.
