Jamaal Anderson DE
A 6'6" 290 pound run stopping Defense End works for me. If he's in the game on running downs, Mathis and/or Freeney stay fresher and running becomes more difficult. I'm for anything that makes running on our boys more difficult. His height is an assett too, it is tricky to throw over or around a big wingspan. A batted ball can be a game changer. I think I like this move.

Great news! We get Peyton, Joe and a possible O-line too.
-
I don't know about anyone else, but Silva, Bullitt and Thomas all coming back from Knee surgery, doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling about the depth of the secondary. I've been waiting for a move to be made here. Fingers crossed.

Hopefully AJ gets signed now. I wonder if they think OGBU (UFA - DT Ollie Ogbu, Penn State) has enough game to take his place? I couldn't find a highlight video on him.

I hope the Colts make this move. It feels right to me.

The Buffalo News confirms that free agent SS Donte Whitner "appears certain to sign elsewhere" after five seasons as a Bill.Whitner is one of the top run-support strong safeties in football, but the Bills are going cheaper at the position with Jairus Byrd and George Wilson. Whitner just turned 26 years old on Sunday, so he should have plenty of solid seasons left in the tank. The Browns have been floated as a possible suitor. --- RotoWorld

I think David Gilreath and Joe Horn make the team. For that to happen the Colts would carry 6 WR's and cut someone on the roster. They've done it before, so it's not out of the question.
Take a look at Joe Horn here.
Take a look at David Gilreath here.
Both these guys have serious polish on them. Look out Gonzalez, because being injured all the time has consequences. Just ask Bob Sanders... and he was a Pro-Bowler!

Very smooth... Like Keith Stone!
-
Gilreath is very slick people!
JFYI; some will find the lyrics offensive. So, mute your audio.

LOVE IT! Fans often underestimate the impact of the "12th Man". teams can feed on that energy. Get it going and perhaps the stadium cams will show a thundering herd of horses on the big screens!
Go COLTS! :bhs:

here is what i would like to see as the starting O for the colts this year
OL:Castonzo,McClenton, Saturday,Jaimie Thomas and Ijalana---C Johson the top backup for all positions except C
WR: Garcon, Wayne, Collie in slot when going to 3 wr set
TE: Clark and Eldridge in 2 te sets
RB: Addai we do need to sign him with Delone short yardage and Brown change of pace
QB: #18
my big changes were in the O line. I just don't have confidence in diem whom i think should be let go and pollak and devan or good backups but no more. PM needs more time to throw and the runners need to have some holes to run through. although we had some good games rushing last year it was only because the D was set to stop the pass. in reality those games should have had more rushing yards in them.
thoughts and opinions please
You're one of the few who like Jamie Thomas as much as I do. He's a powerful man. I was truly shocked when he wasn't moved into the starting lineup last year. I watched every snap of last years preseason in slo-mo, position by position and he was the best guard of the group in my eyes. I can't figure it out!
I also agree that Gonzo needs to earn a spot in the rotation over the course of a full season. Finally, I'd be irked if JA got tossed after spending the last 3 years running behind crap.

According to his Arkansas bio he played DE in high school and college. He played DE for the Falcons too, so that's got me thinking he's a DE first and foremost, although lining up Mathis, Nevis, Anderson & Freeney on a 3rd and 9 makes me smile a bit.
