Having said that, it looks like Green had good leverage until the TE cut back and the QB scrambled.
Yeah, the coverage was good, but the lack of discipline to keep a running QB in the pocket and the lack of recognition by the LB's to close on the scrambling QB and cut off his throwing angles were the big picture issues on that play.

There was no real heat coming off the edges for the Colts Thursday, so get Delaire in here and see what he brings.

Early on, I expect to see vets in the starting lineup. Rookies will get PT in rotations. They've practiced a bunch of stacked formations, so we should see various combos to create match-up advantages. Pre-season however, might be very vanilla for good reasons.

With AC and Good not playing most likely Haeg starts. I expect a lot of chipping from the back or TE help on that side. Clark is just another list of busts from the 2016 class. Morrison is on the bubble, ridgeway imo wont make the team over rooches and mccain, and id put green on this list, but unfortunately our lack of depth at S keeps him around another year
I'm not anywhere near where you're at right now.
Clark started 51 straight games at Texas Tech. He spent his last 3 years at LT and was projected to be a LT in the NFL. He was also projected to be a 1st or 2nd rounder in the draft. He was described as a potential All-Pro if he could learn the NFL techniques he was NOT taught at Texas Tech. His physical traits & measurables were characterized as 'Elite' and 'Rare'.
On the other hand, Lance Zeirlein also put him in his "Boom or Bust" article for that draft. All-Pro potential, or Bust if he didn't go to school on the core NFL techniques.
So, he's only 25, and if he got the coaching, he could be the future LT on this team. It takes 2 years (IMHO) to learn the techniques correctly. So, from that perspective, I consider any judgement before the 3rd year mark as premature. Year 3 is here now, and I'm the optimist that thinks he will be a huge success, not the bust.
I'm as curious as you to see which outcome becomes reality.

If...…. if I go by the depth chart if AC is hurt Mr. Clark is our opening game starting LT no ???
They're putting our franchise QB out there tomorrow night. Whomever they start at LT will speak volumes about Clark. I'll put my money on Clark. I'll also go beyond that and say he makes the team.

I trust my eyes, my football IQ, and my intuition. They tell me (at this early stage), we'll be much better that outsiders perceive. Much, much better!
Go Colts!

Even though we have this extremely young group of players in camp, Wilson remains the 3rd youngest player on a roster of 90 players (21).
Even now, after his first year, he's still younger than all the players in this years draft class except Hines, who will now be the youngest player on the team by 2 months.
The only site I could find that had player ages was this one (http://www.scoresheet.com/FB_current) so far. This one also indicates he's one of the youngest players in the entire league.
He looks like anything but a bust when you recognize just how young he is.
Seeing the big picture may help some get a grip on their absurd assumptions. Get a clue!

My guarded optimism about the O-line just got a sobering reminder of how quickly things can change. In the blink of an eye, no Castanzo, Good or Mewhort. Boom, punch to the gut!

I hope Autry being the only guy to get some push on Nelson is a good sign on Nelson and not that the rest of our dline suck
I read a tweet that described Autry getting leverage on Nelson by using the "two hands on the facemask technique". Nelson did not retaliate. My guess is Autry made the future "tea bag" list for his moment in the sun.

I guess I'm feeling like jvan1973 is. I'm just not seeing them on the field early in the season.

What are the odds they both start the season on the PUP list?
50/50?

He is talented
Great moves
We are going to be JUST FINE at WR..... my prediction
Did I mention that we need help at LB, S, and CB
Agreed!
When he's been healthy, he's produced! Talent is not his issue.
Hilton, Rogers, Cain, Grant & Hines WILL make us just fine at WR!

Mathew Adams is not getting reps according to the Defensive summary above. Perhaps it's just an oversight or typo?

A and B gaps might be open for business this year!

In my view, the Colts are about as likely to go 3-13 as they are to go 13-3. I don't believe smart money would take either of those wagers. I'd say 6-10, 7-9 would be a reasonable early forecast on this team. Personally, I think they can exceed that with a good start to the season.

Knee popped up?
What exactly does "knee popped up" mean?

If they can win at the LOS, yes!

No thank you!
I've seen enough running plays blown up in the backfield because the A and B gaps were out-manned.
I've seen enough QB pressures, hits, and sacks because the A and B gaps were out-manned.
I've seen enough inability to step up in the pocket to avoid the edge rushers because the A and B gaps were out-manned.
And...
I strongly reject any criteria that attempts to devalue the importance of OG talent, and the major role they play in determining wins and losses.
Thanks, but no thanks!

I believe the intent was to have the starting units be 90% vets to start the season.
I also believe Turbin was going to be the starter opening day. He was the guy that could block and keep Andrew off the turf through the first 4 games. I expected the other backs to cycle in and press for their share of time as the season moved on.
Now we have 3 backs that have not proved they can block anybody. Not a good situation. I see this as a big setback to the team strategy for the early part of the season.

The way I hear it, Ishmael does not have prototype NFL speed.
The thing about him was he made combat catches using instinctive body control and positioning. Also, despite his purported lack of top end speed, he still got behind defenses and made big plays. The word was he catches almost everything thrown his way because of great hands. The guy does seem to have some tangible and coveted skills.

Skai Moore & Leonard
in Colts Football

Adams didn't stand out besides that play. It was a good play though.
Zaire Franklin made a number of very solid plays. Skai Moore looked very good out there and although I liked what I saw from Leonard, he had a number of gap assignment errors and bad angle misses in that game. Tyrell Adams and Jeremiah George also showed up on my review.
