With Brent’s out I wonder if we might finally see cross out there and using 3 safeties. We need to see cross play because Blackmon is a FA.
I doubt it. Probably just more of Baker? If they do try to shake things up, I think they go with one of the other backup corners

Blacklock was selected in the second round (40th overall) by Houston in the 2020 NFL Draft. Since then, he has played 40 games including 11 with Minnesota during the 2022 season. Blacklock has posted 26 tackles, nine quarterback hits, five tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks, and once forced fumble.

Colts worked out:
Jeff Driscoll QB
Anthony Auclair TE
John Brown WR
Kiedron Smith DB
Makai Polk WR
No D-line, which is a bit of a surprise, considering the injury to Johnson

Vegas line opened on Sunday with Colts (+1 1/2 point) home underdogs vs Saints.
Has now flipped to Colts (-1 point) favorites

Saints Season Comes Down to 10 Games
excerpt from article:
...New Orleans is a team that seemingly has a lot of offensive issues, and in the same breath knows they could just as easily be 5-2 or 6-1 right now if things went their way. However, they are what their record says at 3-4...
Saints Offensive Struggles
The two biggest eyesores for the Saints offense right now are in the red zone (37.5%) and 3rd Down (34.26%). That ranks 25th and T-28th in the NFL right now. What's maddening is how well they are doing defensively, as they have the second best 3rd Down unit in the league at 30.53%. The defense has done its job for nearly three seasons, and the offense has to catch up...
...What if they put out the same product on Sunday? Will it prompt a quarterback change? What if the offense continues to struggle on 3rd Down and in the red zone? Will it actually lead to a play caller change? What if the Saints put the offense together? How long will it last? What if the Saints can't win any of these next three favorable games? Will we see major changes?
The Saints are gambling with a lot of 'what if' things right now, and it's either going to work or not. If it works, then will these issues actually be fixed for good, or will they rear its ugly head in the postseason? If it doesn't work, then everyone should expect moves made in the front office and beyond to compensate for a third consecutive missed postseason...

That’s a huge blow for Sunday.
I expect we sign a nose guard early this week

The only Colts TE to have a reception was Cox (1 catch for -6 yards)

I agree. A difficult decision for Ballard to figure out. That said I think he’s pretty good at evaluating players and making trades. All we can do is wait and see what happens.
It would seem, by taking it to the deadline, Ballard should be able to get Jeudy for a later round pick. Otherwise, I think just pass.

That’s good news. Taking a step back colts have had to face some elite pass rushers the last few weeks. Should get easier if smith comes back too.
Right, but maybe they will blitz us. I know they say the Saints have a really good defense.

Freeland has struggled in pass pro but he had been a elite run blocker. I hope smith is back next week.
Do saints have any edge defenders we should be worried about? I know they have Jordan. Anyone else.
Does not seem like they have anyone to really fear (like Garrett or Josh Allen)...
DE Carl Granderson leads the team with 4.5 sacks.

I’m hoping we get him actually. I think he would do great with Shane.
The biggest thing for me is, at what cost.
He had a good college career and was highly rated in draft profiling. Has not lived up to the 15th overall choice, but played on poor teams with poor QBs
I have no problem with him coming over to the Colts, and I would root for him to succeed
He's under contract for the rest of this year and next.
Looking at our future outlook, I think our draft choices are equally important.

I guess but he’s had a rough start to the season on a bad team that is struggling. I would guess it’s his best play of the season and he was excited and he wanted to celebrate. I got a kick out of it actually. He would be a colorful addition no doubt.
If that was his best play of the season, then maybe the Colts should reconsider? lol

I guess to be fair, it was to get them in GW FG range.
I suppose. I just am not sold on Jeudy, and the only reason I watched Denver today was to see how he looked.

Still seems like a bonehead move, to do that "high step" act, on a ten yard reception, while his team is losing.

I think there is a good chance it’s nothing serious.
Watching it live on tv, it looked like he pulled a muscle. The video on youtube was from a different angle than was shown live, and from that view, you can see the GB player punch him down south.
After the injury time out (commercial break) the camera did show Jeudy standing on the sidelines, taking a drink. He looked ok.
I would say he's fine.

Walker was only 15 of 32 but when it mattered colts didn’t stop him.
That 30 yard completion (on 3rd and 10) vs Bradley's prevent defense was the killer

Have panthers in there too. We have the hard part of the schedule out of the way I think. Carr has not looked good but if Brent’s don’t play he might eat us up.
Panthers have next two games in a row at home
Oct 29 Houston
Nov 5 Colts
Should they be 0-7 when we come to town, that could be trouble. Bound to win a home game sooner or later.

As loyal Colts fans it is natural to get down and a little negative after a loss, but personally I feel much different this year after a loss than last year. There is reason for optimism.
Although hurt, Richardson’s learning curve appears to be much shorter than anyone anticipated. The Moss trade is turning out to be an absolute steal. Downs and Brent are already in position to heavily contribute. Today we had late round draft picks lined up against an all pro DE and a #1 WR - A very tall order.
‘last year I cannot count the number of games we entered the fourth quarter with large defecits. This is a much different feel this year- for me anyway.
These next three games will tell me more.
Home vs Saints
at Panthers
Frankfort vs Patriots
We need some wins to make me feel more optimistic

Zaire Franklin led the team with 11 tackles. 9 solo

Looks like the defender hit him in the privates. Did he go back in?
I don't think. Denver did not run any more plays on offense, other than the "victory formation"
