  1. Steichen said Pittman is good to go today, however, he probably has to still get through the concussion process? DJ Montgomery looks like a promising reserve WR. I think we should be ok to spread the ball around vs Falcons

I’m going to say we really can’t find a better DB than Tony Brown. He’s not good that Saints game showed it. Also Isaiah I really don’t care either he’s basically been irrelevant all year.

.Brown is a good ST player. Outside that, perhaps the backup players, that may now get a chance, can even outperform both TB and IM

I don’t think that’s why he was cut. He just wasn’t even very good when he played on offense.

You might be right? ...but I beg to differ

...doesn't seem to matter at this point. as you posted earlier, with the signings of Winfree and Mickens, Coutee seems to not be coming over anyhow.

Mickens, 5-10, 174 pounds, has played in 38 career games in his time with the New York Giants (2022-23), Jacksonville Jaguars (2017-18, 2021), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2019-21), Carolina Panthers (2019) and Oakland Raiders (2016-17). He has compiled 15 receptions for 145 yards (9.7 avg.) and two touchdowns. Mickens has also registered 35 kickoff returns for 811 yards (23.2 avg.) and 69 punt returns for 581 yards (8.4 avg.) and one touchdown. He has appeared in six postseason contests and has totaled 10 kickoff returns for 222 yards (22.2 avg.) and six punt returns for 39 yards (6.5 avg.). Mickens was originally signed by the Raiders as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2016.

Montgomery will probably get signed to the 53. Colts working out Coutee now makes sense.

It’s clear there was a Reich problem and Ballard and Steichen are not putting up with stuff anymore.

Didn't Coutee get cut from Colts last year after several fumbles and/or muffs?

Not sure he's the guy I want to see returning

This game a lot less clear with the change at QB we’re facing.

The unknown is not an advantage for our defense.

I think the Colts will know what to expect, whether it is Ridder or  Heinicke.

We played (and lost) against Heinicke last year when he was with Washington...

There is tape of both QBs this year, as both have started several games for Atlanta

I’m saying to have an active but not play him unless the others aren’t working.

Right.  I get what you are saying...

But at what point do you make the switch? After we go 3 and out a few times? ...after we are down 14 points?

Taylor has a thumb injury. As long as he can grip the ball, He should play. If not, then he shouldn't.

Maybe have to use another back as a receiver?

That’s why he’s suggesting he’s active just not starting.  If the other guys can’t get it going you can still go to Taylor during the game.

Looks like the line has flipped for this weeks game.

Colts opened as (-2 1/2 point) favorite on the road @ Atlanta

Now Colts are currently (+1 point) underdogs.

Report: Taylor Heinicke will start for Falcons in Week 16

Looks like Taylor Heinicke will indeed be getting the start. Lets hope Bradley's defense can do a better job this time, than last year, against Heinicke...

...According to TheAthletic.com, the Falcons will be starting Taylor Heinicke against the Colts. It would be the second time that Smith and the Falcons have benched Ridder in favor of Heinicke this season...

Heinecke is a gun slinger, you never know what you are going to get. He will have a lot of turnover worthy plays by throwing it out there and giving his skill position guys a chance to catch it, so we need to come down with a couple of those in the game to temper his enthusiasm to gun sling again. He beat us with Terry McLaurin posterizing Stephon Gilmore, at home as a member of Washington last year, if you remember. That is the X factor with Heinecke, that streaky upside for a quarter or a half that can tilt the game in their favor. With Ridder, you know what you are going to get. Bradley can afford to sit back vs Ridder but might have to speed up Heinecke's processing since he can throw better on the run than Ridder, IMO

Plus, Arthur Smith coaching for his job suggests it will be Heinecke.

He probably played his greatest game ever (when he was with Washington) vs the Colts last year.

As I recall, Heinicke feasted on Bradley's defense, and led his team to a last minute, game winning score.

Tom Brady criticizes Damontae Kazee suspension, faults Gardner Minshew

...QBs should not be throwing the ball in areas where they are exposing their own teammates to these types of hits. Coaches need to coach better, QBs needs to read coverages and throw the ball to the right places and defenders should aim for the right hitting areas. To put the blame on the defense player all the time is just flat out wrong. Need better QB play!!

Many Steeler fans don't trust Trubisky. They like that Watt and Highsmith are playing, but don't think that their offense can do much and are wary of the Colts. This could be low scoring, but the NFL is unpredictable especially with playoffs on the line.

Trubisky is tough, and a very good runner. Our defense has to keep him contained

Titans release Teair Tart: Tennessee moves on from starting DL over contract, personal issues, per report

...Tart, 26, hadn't practiced all week due to an undisclosed personal issue.

Now, he's parting ways "after season-long issues reached a breaking point," per Kuharsky. The discord reportedly stemmed from Tart's desire for a new contract, as well as the Titans' recent dissatisfaction with Tart's "effort and attitude."

The Philadelphia native was scheduled to hit free agency this offseason after signing a one-year, $4.3 million restricted-free-agent tender last spring. But his relationship with the Titans also soured in part due to his conditioning, per Kuharsky...
