RIP Dad, Randy Gantt: A Colts fan

It's been a while since I updated my blog..  You see my dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and was told he would live for a maximum of 2 weeks..  That was several months ago..  Sadly my family lost him, December 18th.  He fought as hard as he could..  In fact it reminded me of when Chuck got cancer..  I shaved my head for the guy.. You see my family bleeds blue... Dad, was such an awesome man and a die-hard Colts fan..  I feel blessed to have gotten to celebrate multiple Superbowl appearances with him..  He was the most gentle spirit I think i will ever come in contact with.  You will be missed Randy Gantt.  PS  He insisted we bury him in his Colts gear,  Ski cap included..  What a fun guy, the world is smaller without you.

YellScream....my deepest condolences to you and your family.

I know firsthand the difficulty of your experience.

My wife has been battling pancreatic cancer since the fall of 2013. Major surgery and 3 different rounds of chemo since, but those options appear to have been exhausted and her time is getting short.

We've appreciated each and every day since her diagnosis and she's insisted the entire time that our lives remain as unchanged as possible....and as you know many days have been tough.

I'm sure your dad Randy was a true warrior.

Keep us in your thoughts and prayers if you would....and all the best to you and your family as you move forward.

Thanks - pacolts56

So sorry for your loss.  My dad died 6 years ago from pancreatic cancer.  It's awful.  Sending prayers your way.

YSGC,

Thank you for being brave enough to share such personal information about the loss of your beloved father. That took a tremendous amount of courage on your part.

Naturally, that void in your life will never be filled of course, but this line made me smile:

"He insisted we bury him in his Colts gear"  Awesome!

I hope you're hanging in there brother as well as can be expected given such heart wrenching circumstances. Miss you man. I'm here if you need me. God bless, my friend.
