"Slinging his right arm?" Really. Most QB's "sling" a football.
-
Pats cheat all the time that is nothing new and they will get away with it too why because that piece of crap commissioner we have will turn a blind eye to it because its the pats does the same thing for the steelers.
Now we may know why the Patriots played a bit angry later in the game - obviously trying to punish the Colts. Explains BB keeping his starters in and grinding. He was mad.

The Colts cannot block Head Coach interviews...anything below that, they can.
...and they wouldn't be blocking anything without first checking with Chud.
Apparently Chud is very valuable working with the offense...more valuable than Pep...
...which raises the question "Why the Heck is Pep still the OC?"

I turned to my son and said - "that was Harrison-esque."
-
Offense:
OL: W e need help at RG and probably RT. Thomas, Nixon , and Shipley will be cut. Thornton and Harrison will need to prove they belong. Cherbis needs to play like he did in 2013 and not this year. Hopefully if he is healthy he will reclaim his status as a reliable RT. Reitz and Louis are reserves. Reitz has value since he can fill in at either Guard or Tackle slots. I think we are set with Constanzo, Mewhart and Holmes at LT, LG and Center.
RB: Herron and Tipton gained some valuable experience and held their own. Herron reminds me of Dominic Rhodes. He needs to have a complement in the backfield. TRich is never going to be much on this team. Whether he returns is a function of whether we can dump his salary onto someone else. Mike Hill is an unknown. Bradshaw is injury prone and we cannot afford to use up valuable cap space on a guy who misses large chunks of a season due to injury. When healthy, he is an impact player but he is more often injured than not. We need to add backfield help and I can see us trying to add a solid back in the draft. Ballard is a question mark since he has missed two full seasons. It is hard to put much stock in him being available, which is unfortunate since he had a solid debut in 2012. Doubt we will draft a back with a a #1 but I can see us going with a back in either rounds #2 or #3.
WR. We have Hilton and Montcrief who are solid receivers. Hilton is a star and Montcrief is showing signs of being an eliter receiver. I am not sure what we have left with Reggie. He was a non contributor after the first Cincy game. I suspect the triceps tear was the reason but it is hard to put much faith in him being what he was in 2015. If he returns he might be a #3 receiver behind Hilton and Montrief. We need to add a fast receivder who can be part of our offense. Perhaps it is Duron Carter if we sign him or perhaps we find that receiver in the draft or a FA signing. Nicks might be retained since he seemed to emerge late in the season and Luck appeared to gain confidence in throwing to him. whalen is insurance and at best is filler. Do not know much about receivers we have on our practice squad. It is unfortunate that guys like Brazill and Rogers played themselves off the team with off-field issues. They both has some potential and showed glimpses of being deep threats. We need to add at least one solid receiver to this team for next season and that is if we keep either Reggie or Nicks.
Special Teams:
KR/PR: Cribbs must go! I would rather keep Whalen as our KR or PR. At least he can catch the ball.
FG Kicker: Vinitari had a great season but perhaps it is unrealistic to think he can be top of his game next season. Colts may need to look at making Mcafee our FG kicker in addition to being our punter and kick off kicker. He has the leg. The question is whether he will be as accurate.
Special Teams Coverage: Colts actually did a great job on special teams coverage. The best I have seen in ages. Guys like Sergio Brown, Colt Anderson and McDaniel played well.
Defensive Front: We need major help here. Redding probably does not have too much left in the tank. Arthur Jones is a keeper for next year. RJF is not worth bringing back. I do not know what we have in Chapman, Hughes, Kerr and Miola. Miloa was hurt and missed the season. Chapman Hughes and Kerr were wildly inconsistent, particularly against good clubs with solid offensive lines. Other than Hughes, Chapman and Kerr did not provide much in the way of inside push on the pocket.
OLB: We have Mathis back next season. HArd to believe he can match what he did last season but I would think he still can be a solid pass rushing outside LB. I think Walden is OK. His play was adequate. Werner either needs to move to ILB or defensive front. He does not add much to the pass rush as an OLB.
ILB: I think that DQ and Feeman are OK but not dominating ILB type players. There is no Ray Lewis in this tandem. Perhaps Werner will do better as an ILB. Andrew JAckson is an interesting prospect and might develop into a solid line backer. All other LB options on our roster are substitutes or special team caliber players. We can help ourselves if we can find a playmaker at either ILB or OLB.
CB: STrongst part of the defense with Davis, Toler and Butler. We need to add depth here. Gordy can be replaced. Other options on roster are filler and do not appear to be prospects with potential.
safetty: Adams played well. He is worth keeping if for no other reason than his experience and if we can eek out another year from him on par with this season will be more than acceptable.. Landry needs to go. Sergo is more a special teams player than a full time option at the safety slot. Same with Anderson. Not sure what we have in McDaniel. This is an area where we need lots of help either through draft or through a FA acquisition. Boy we could use a Bob Sanders type of safety. I do not see anyone stashed away on our roster who projects well as a safety option. Delano Howell might have been a solid player but it remains to be seen if he will be able to return from a neck injury.
It will be hard to fill all these needs through the draft. We will need to gind 1-3 solid players in the FA market
My old eyes may have deceived me - but Toler got beat like a drum yesterday.

They are a superior team. That said - this Colts team is completely lost. Think Irsay needs to really think about making major changes.
-
...have possibly been more poorly prepared for a championship game?
-
Win or lose - the Patriots sun is beginning to set. Let their fans run wild with their typical New England arrogance. There is something to be said in winning OR losing with class, dignity and humility. Three traits the folks with the odd accent sorely lack.

I don't feel the way I would with Manning when weather is forecast to be crappy. PM always sucked in bad conditions. I don't believe Luck is as affected by cold or rain and wind.
-
I've found respectable Pats fans but the majority I see on social media are arrogant and think everything belongs to New England. The majority ruin it for the minority.
Their time is coming...
-
All bets are off. The weather in NE this Sunday could be the deciding factor. 100% chance of heavy rain during the afternoon and evening. Going to be interesting Herron and Tipton best be ready to pound the rock.

All QBs get beat up and they miss some practices...show up on the injury lists..
Miss games....play hurt
Nobody gets hit more than Andrew Luck...we've all seen it
Is he like 'Captain America' or something?
To my knowledge..Andrew has never missed a game or practice..in 3 years.....right?
Its a simple question, I admit .........but how does he do that?
Because - till now, no one has jinxed him with this question.
-
Let's not get too far ahead of the curve, folks. :^)

My bad....Lieutenant.
Righto. Sorry - it's just that McNary is a USMA graduate and a commissioned officer. Major difference. So much more is expected of one with those credentials - he would be the first to say that, too.
-
Very shocked and disappointed in our Sargent from the US Military. On the field must have been secondary to his ungodly acts.
Sargent?
-
Everyone does realize - PTI, like all other shows of its kind, has writers who script everything these guys say, right? Kornpone is just a talking head with a bad comb-over.

Before last night's game, I told friends - "Well, if the Colts lose, at least we'll have Manning to root for against the Patriots." Now we know #18 would have zero chance against New England. So strange to witness the likely end of a generational QB like Peyton.
-
I hated that little disrespectful sack dance at the end too.

Well done. No matter what music you choose...
-
Cribbs bought the receiver corp all Colts bath robes with their names on the back. I can just see Ray Lewis addressing the team in bath robes.
Prison jumps would be more appropo...
-
Flacco took a shot. Personally...I like his gumption to step outside of convention at that spot in hopes of catching them off guard. Unfortunately the Pats secondary came up with a big play. It happens.
His shot was into triple coverage.
I hope Grigson brings in some "PUNISHERS"
in Colts Football

You mean like the player who 'punished' a pizza delivery driver? Yeah - exactly what the Colts need.
