  1. knowing JMV this will mostly be about Indiana State not making the tournament but Holder might get to say a little more than he can put in a tweet about what did or didn’t go down if anyone is interested.
  2. First it doesn’t matter where you were drafted if you can play. New England didn’t go well that Brady kid had a really good season and won the Super Bowl but he was taken in the sixth round so we better stick with Bledsoe who was taken first overall. Flowers had a very good season going until he got hurt. He should be healthy this year and the Colts have said from the start they thought he could develop into a really good corner for them. Then when Jones got in there he played very well according to just about everyone here. Go back and look at the post game threads if you don’t believe me. He was the unsung hero of the secondary most of the season. Brents shows a lot of promise and there is no reason to think he wouldn’t make a jump going into his second year. Then there is Kenny Moore who is maybe the best slot corner in the league. While I have no problem adding another body to the secondary, rather it’s in free agency or the draft, the corner room is hardly bare like some are making it out to be. To be honest I am much more concerned about safety than I am corner.
  3. You mean because we don’t just accept everything put on twitter as fact and doubt proven legit insiders? Yep real weird…
  4. We as in fans? I assume the same safeties we’ve been mentioning. Some corners as well. People haven’t really focused on that because of all the Sneed stuff. As for the Colts? No idea.
  5. In your opinion. You aren’t the general manager. Ballard might have a different opinion than you. Who knows maybe he has one he loves he’s targeting at 15 in the draft. There are going to be a lot of good ones there. Also, the corner market really just started moving over the weekend.
  6. It’s week two of free agency not the start of training camp. Give it time. Also, I know people don’t want to hear this but I don’t think Ballard feels the corner room is as bad as some think. They have three young corners they like plus Kenny. Yes safety needs work but that could also be addressed in the draft. Also, maybe they did kick the tires on Sneed and decided yep nope. It will take a little time to recalibrate from that and adjust their focus.
  7. Even if that was true, which it’s not he broke several free agents staying with the Colts last week, Holder who is connected reported the samething. This is wannabe twitter insiders having each others back. Again who do you trust Schefter or someone on twitter? This place would be a lot better off if we stopped treating the latter like they are legit reporters. They aren’t.
  8. Some are. Others are screaming being skeptical but it’s not going over well because it’s not news that some want to hear.
  9. No she’s too busy carrying Destin’s water for him because he can’t be wrong despite as someone else pointed out this is now the third time he has been wrong. I believe she needs to follow her own advice and just stop but she won’t and that’s her right.
  10. That’s why I’ve said wrong or used. I don’t believe he lied. There is a difference between those IMO.
  11. We probably won’t which is why I’ve pushed be very careful about believing something just because people on twitter are saying it.
  12. Because for Schefter he was asked about it by McAfee. For Holder it’s because he was getting bombarded by people on twitter asking him if it was true because of Destin’s tweet. They didn’t just bring this up out of nowhere.
  13. Yeah just to drive home this point last night I had the following things showing up as trending twitter for me, Indiana State, Colts, Sneed, and King Charles. Out of curiosity I clicked on the King Charles one because I was like that’s odd. It was full of a bunch of people saying King Charles was dead because they head it on twitter. Yet he still looks to be alive and kicking. Again, seeing something solely on twitter should be taken with a huge grain of salt until proven by a legit news source.
  14. Hope that’s not the case he seems like a good kid who I think just got used. With that said these are the things that can break a career if you want to be a reporter. Poor Pat lol
  15. As I’ve said all along this is who Ballard is. He’s spent his life building his philosophy to team building. He was never going to just change that on a whim. It doesn’t make it right or wrong, that’s an opinion that’s up to people, it’s just who he is rather people like it or not.
  16. I mean someone said Holder might need to delete his twitter after this maybe since Holders looks to be right someone else might might need to delete theirs? in all seriousness the lesson here is very careful taking what someone on twitter reports as unquestionable fact because it’s what you want to be true. Wait for the real media to report it, they have standards that wanna bes on twitter don’t and it’s to prevent from having egg on their fact because they get a major story wrong by reporting things premature. My view on Destin remains unchanged, he’s an upcoming journalist who I think is going to learn an extremely valuable lesson from all this, you have to make sure who you have the whole story confirmed, not just part of it, before you report it. Him admitting he didn’t have the contract confirmed should have been a major red flag because no team is going to agree to the trade for Sneed until the contract is worked out. Yes they may have one done in principle but it’s not going to be framed as done until the contract is done, even if they are just ironing out some details regarding the contract. Again think Buckner, non of that came out until it was ALL done. Also, again it’s lying season. People all over the place are putting out false stories to push their side. Those people look to take advantage of someone like Destin who is trying to make a name for himself by breaking a huge story like this. I have a feeling that’s what happened here. Bummer for the Colts as I would like Sneed but there is a reason I’ve been so skeptical about this. I’ve seen too many stories like this that we later find out was never on the table. Remember Andrew Luck and his meeting with Jimmy from the Colts a few years ago that a bunch of would be Colts insiders on twitter jumped that the person who put out there later admitted they made up as a joke?
  17. So per Schefter and Holder then Destin got it wrong. I’ll let people decide on their own who they trust more, the guy who broke the Andrew Luck story or the guy who works for AtoZ sports.
  18. No, the most anyone has suggested is Destin got it wrong, which could very well be because he was being used by someone. Even the most skeptical people of Destin have taken the hey he could be right approach but the longer things go it looks like he wasn’t but we shall see. people have accused others, like pretty Rickey (who deleted his twitter account) of making things up but no one I have seen has taken that approach to Destin. Personally I can’t stand Holder but nothing has happened to back up the claim he is being used by Ballard in this case beyond the fact it contradicts Destin and the news people want to be true.
  19. This is just making a story out of Destin’s report. Nothing new that wasn’t reported yesterday morning.
  20. They tried it when they first got him but quickly realized he’s frankly not that good at it.
