  1. Dan Dakich don’t you have radio show to host? Say hi to Ryan Grigson next time you talk to him. oh by the way I am not a know it all I’ve been wrong plenty of times and have zero problems admitting when I am.
  2. You can be sure but again he gave a very brutally honest press conference/interview this week where he said he’s not. I think the odds are higher you want him to be upset than that Irsay wasn’t honest about that one topic.
  3. Well he said in a press conference where he was brutally honest that he doesn’t have an issue with Ballard’s approach to free agency. Just because it’s not what people wanted to hear doesn’t mean it’s not true.
  4. I’ve felt all along he was going to draft a WR or two when I saw the monster contracts WRs started getting and then the Hill trade details that pretty much cemented it for me that they are going to draft a guy or two.
  5. Meh I am not really impressed with him. He had two big games against the Colts in his career but that’s about all he’s done.
  6. I think it’s based off the idea that people around football outside of this forum felt they won in spite of Wentz last year and he did more to hold them back then help them. Around here people seem to feel Wentz was better than most people outside of this forum so and feel the team was worse than others do. Depending on where you fall on those opinions probably decides how you feel about the Colts off-season. If you are of the first mindset you feel like Ryan alone makes this team significantly better and that’s before you add a big name pass rusher. If you felt Wentz was fine and the issue was the players around him then you are probably worried about the Colts right now. Time will tell who has the right opinion.
  7. LT and RG have already been filled. Like it or not Ballard said Pryor is going to be the LT. RG is going to be Pinter unless they re-sign Reed to compete but that doesn’t look to be happening. Also the Colts have not touched restructuring contract they can open more space if they need it.
  8. Some just complain or they wouldn’t have anything to say otherwise. I want players added too but there is still a draft and more of a free agent period to go. Patience is required.
  9. Granson was never drafted to replace jack. He’s a different type of player. Jack was a boarder line sixth offensive lineman. Granson has never been seen as a blocker. He was drafted to give them something they didn’t have a tightend and there is nothing wrong with that. If he takes a step towards that this year he will give them a much needed weapon. Mo is the one who is going to be asked to take on Doyle’s role and there is nothing wrong with that he’s more designed for it.
  10. The mods have always merged multiple topics that are about the same subject. This is nothing new. All they did was pin it to the top of the forum so it’s the first thing you see which draws more attention to it. We don’t need 100 threads all basically saying I don’t like what Ballard is doing or not doing. It’s fine to have that option but it can be done in one thread. By the way we also wouldn’t need 100 threads saying Ballard is awesome either.
  11. Yes. The line was much better when he was in there. To the point the Colts tried to give Reed Glow’s job and had to back off because it was clear the line was better with Glow in there.
  12. Grievances isn’t complaining it means you disagree with something. If you are criticizing something he did or didn’t do it’s probably not because you agreed with it.
  13. Ballard literally said they are committed to him for at least the next two years which implies he could be here longer. That’s not how you talk about a bandaid.
  14. He actually got hurt early in the game and played through it.
  15. I think he likes Pryor and this is a prove it deal to see if he can be starting tackle and if not it’s only a one year contract. I do expect them to draft a tackle high in the draft as well. Like others have said they are already paying big money to Kelly and Smith and are about to for Nelson. There are only so many high priced players you can pay on the line. The best way to avoid that is to get some good players on rookie deals. They have one in Pinter who will probably be in the mix for the right guard spot depending on what happens with Reed. Now they need another.
  16. Looks like the mods pinned this thread so we have somewhere to track and discuss the Colts off-season moves or lack there of.
  17. Problem with that is if they have down year Frank and Ballard might very well get fired so they aren’t going to be on board with that. They are going to try to get the best guy they can and do the best they can with him and worry about next year when and if they get to it.
  18. Your last line is spot on. So I’d be careful about believing reports about it. Maybe Rivers didn’t give them them impression he was really in it maybe Ballard got greedy and thought they could get better who knows.
  19. Because they were trying to win a Super Bowl not be in position to draft a QB. They felt they were really close with Rivers. Clearly it didn’t work out but the mind set is win a Super Bowl not be in position to draft a QB. If that was the case they would have tried to be on position to get Lawerence last year.
  20. I think there is a plan it’s just not what or going as fast as most Colts fans want. I think Ballard looked at what was out there and quickly realized he didn’t have what it took to get Wilson and when Rodgers went back that left Watson as the only truly top QB out there to go get so he took his shot and just like all of us knew would happen the Texans said no. From there I think he looked at everyone else who is available and went there isn’t really a must have guy so I am going to sit back and really look at what’s out there and try to figure out who is the best guy for my team that I can get for the cheapest. One thing we know about Ballard is that he’s not going to rush to do something just because it’s a need. Remember LT last year? He addressed it after the draft when he didn’t get one in the draft. Yes, I know the guy didn’t work out but he could use the same strategy here. For all we know he’s made an offer for a guy and he’s waiting to see if the team will take it. Last year when he got Wentz it was reported he made his offer a month before the trade was agreed too and just let the Eagles see if they could find a better offer knowing they would come back if they couldn’t and if they did well he wasn’t going to get into a bidding war for a guy. Ballard is patient and isn’t going to rush this just because the Colts need a QB. So I think the plan is to be patient and get the best guy you can get for the cheapest you get and wait and see if any surprises develop along the way. It’s called being flexible and when there isn’t a must go get guy that you can get it’s smart.
  21. For all those screaming for a WR remember Ballard said he liked their group (for the record I don’t agree with him on that opinion) so I wouldn’t be shocked if he’s not thinking about a free agent WR. I think he feels the biggest issue with the WRs last year was the guy getting them the ball.
  22. Soooo over under of two hours that Rodgers tells the Packers he’s changed his mind and wants to be traded after all…
