  1. Venturi did a good job of explaining what was going on. The Bucs got the line blocked and the linebackers were over perusing and getting killed on the cut back. So to answer your question yes.
  2. Okay technically they are on the field or at least guys wearing blue shirts are
  3. I like Thomas. The rest of the second string defense…well they are on the field.
  4. I suspect the offense will be too. End the pre-season on a high. Great Grover series and then TD drive for the offense.
  5. They thought he was in. Still in the pre-season I would have done what the tv announcers were saying and just take the extra try.
  6. The oline is going to be a bit of work in progress. Pryor is at best a stop gap to get them to the rookie and even then it’s a huge ask to replace AC. Then they lost a very underrated RG. Pinter looks better than Fries but he has big shoes to fill in replacing Glow. They are going to have to find their chemistry and not having Kelly due to Covid is not helping that. it is going to take time for the line to find it’s footing and even when it does it’s probably not going to be as good as the AC, Big Q, Kelly, Glow, and Smith unit because Pryor/Rookie and Pinter just aren’t as good as AC and Glow. That doesn’t mean they can’t be a solid unit though once they get their footing under them.
  7. Unpopular opinion jackson makes this roster if the Colts keep four backs.
  8. Losing a star LT to retirement, an underrated RG to free agency, and pro bowl center to Covid will do that.
  9. People still want to trade Kelly and start Pinter at center?
  10. Missing Kelly isn’t helping but I do think we are seeing just how good AC and Glow were.
  11. Grover heard people questioning the rush defense and said this:
  12. You mean drafting guys like Grover, Nelson, Leonard, Smith, Pittman, Taylor, and Kwitty offsets any misses he’s had? I am shocked I say!
  13. Seems players are too. More than one said they wanted to come to Indy because they see a loaded team. I remember before I think the Pats game last year one of the guys on the Pats said you turn on the Colts tape and think how is this team not undefeated? I think we are so critical of the team because we are so close and tend to take the good for granted. This is a good team with a good roster mostly built by the current GM. Is it perfect? No, but what team in the NFL is? I think the unanswered question is how much did Carson Wentz hold the team back last year? If you ask most fans, players around the league, the media that covers the league and most importantly the Colts brain trust themselves the answer is a lot. I do think there are some fans who feel the answer is not much which is why they aren’t confident in things getting better because they don’t buy the theory the Colts seem to be selling that Wentz was the major issue. Unfortunately we aren’t going to get an answer to this question until well into the season so until it’s probably going to be debated.
  14. You had to remind me of the Trent Richardson trade didn’t you? What’s sad is that pick turned into Johnny Football and you could argue Trent did more to help his team so the Colts “won” the trade although I’d argue both teams lost that trade.
  15. Not maybe go back and look him up and translate that to todays game he would be up there with Marvin as an all time great. I am not a big mock draft person.
  16. When people blame Grigson for ruining Luck’s career it’s for failing to put together a line to protect him. Not having quality of players falls on the GMs shoulders.
  17. Go tell a Lions fan how long and suffering you are and watch them laugh in your face. It’s not that I am happy with it. It’s that I have no control over it and it has zero impact on me outside for a few hours on Sundays. Life goes on if the Colts are mediocre.
