I like Herbert but I don't think there's any chance in the world we get him.

Honestly, people say every year is loaded with this position or that position. It very rarely turns into reality, we should probably just wait and see.
Believe me though, if we were just lacking a center, guard and safety I'd be feeling a lot more positive. Unfortunately we need the exact same positions as most teams in the bottom half of the league.
Sad but true

Not sure I'd want Mahomes, Lamar, or Desean, or Murray, or Darnold, or Rosen, or Trubisky, or Mayfield, or just about any QB drafted in rounds 1 and 2 in the past three years.
You wouldn't want Mahomes are you crazy.

I agree getting a Qb is tough but I think Ballard and his drafting philosphy will find the right one. I personally hope he gets Love. He has all the traits but just needs a year to be fully developed correctly and not rushed. I think Colts is perfect because they have Brisett for one more year and can take their time to mold him like Mahomes and Watson did.
Love has 16 picks this season so no to Love.

If that happened I would love to see us up by 3 or more scores and brady crying like a little expletive on the sideline that would be awesome.
Yes, I agree

I'd probably rate it a 4.4. Jacoby's pocket awareness and elite footwork is what really made that block! Remember, Quentin's blocks will only block as far as Jacoby's block will block them......
Sorry been reading way too much of the hyper aggressive, and mostly asinine, "Jacoby performace merge thread."
Obviously, that was dope!
OFF TOPIC: This team is on the right path, and just in case the humorless "admit hes elite" crowd is watching, I think Brisett is a huge part of it.
That first Texans game was Obi-wan's signature win. Im looking forward to a repeat performance on their turf Thurs. Houston is gonna make us win thru the air again. And although our pass pro has been suspect lately I believe Jacoby is up to the task.
+/- 300 passing yrds, 3 TDs. (0 int, 1 forced fumble).
Very excited, possibly to the point of homer-ism, for TNF! This is the biggest (pre playoff) GOTY.
Yeah, I’m excited to but unfortunately I don’t think we will win

So I was listening to a podcast from stampede blue and they mentioned a funny scenario if the colts played NE in the playoffs. Brissett Beats Brady and the game ends on a Kenny Moore Interception on a pass to Dorsett. That would be the ultimate revenge.
I would love it nobody hates New England more than me.

Houston will be mad after blowout loss to the Ravens and us beating them last time. So unfortunately I'm taking Houston 24-14. I never liked my team playing a team after a loss anger can take you a long ways in football and I believe Houston will be angry for sure.

If Hoyer either starts a game, or has to play significant minutes, the Colts will lose this game. Hoyer is a bad, turnover prone, never very good NFL QB. Why even take the chance of having to play him? Ballard should cut Hoyer and find another backup QB. Chad Kelly or someone else would give the Colts a better chance of winning if they must play.
I agree totally cut ties with him immediately. There's bound to be a better backup then him out there if it's not Kelly. I mean Hoyer stinks like hot garbage.

I think Hines will get some reps split out wide.
I like Hines underneath in the flat and put Doyle out wide in short yardish situations.

Do you think we might see some jet-sweeps? Maybe with Hines or Campbell?
Reich used it more last year than he has this year.
We hit one of those for a big gain, 100 yds rushing becomes more likely.
I think we will

It’s turning our to be a tough division. Titans have found their footing and will be a tough out the rest of the way. Jags found a QB to fill in for fokes. Every team could have a winning record.
Yeah, it'll be a dog fight no doubt.

As much as I love the Colts and hate Pittsburgh. I'm going with Pittsburgh just because I'm superstitious and I've had to do things that always make us lose unfortunately. I had to buy a car, clean my place and move things around to be able to watch the game. I sure hope I'm wrong though.

Not an excuse for the game he had today...
Besides, I’m not saying cut him or bench him entirely... I just don’t see the hype and I’d rather see Wilson start over him, at least until he gets some more experience under his belt.
Yeah, he needs a lot of coaching

Luck has retired...lol

I just think Reich and Ballard together make a great duo without question. I know that's not the question but it's my answer.

Quenton Nelson has got to be on there.

What did Polian always say and I believe it. "You're never as good you are when you win and never as bad you are when you lose". So any given Sunday a supposive bad team can jump up and bite you if are not 100% ready for them. This is the NFL most players are paid millions to play this game. So if you don't bring your A game you can and probably will be beaten it's just that simple.

If your 100% and ready to play you play. This is just a bad mentality.
He was just talking about the questionable players.

League-wide, it looks like to me. The NFL may have peaked, and priced itself out of many people's disposable income. It's hard for some to justify paying so much money for tickets, etc., so that players can be paid so very well for what amounts (thanks to the CBA) to not much more than part-time commitment. JMO.
I could not agree more they priced themselves out of most common peoples wallets no doubt. The league will really start to feel this for years to come no doubt.
