  1. How many of the "winningest" QB's of all time were high draft picks?

     Montana - 3rd round

     Brady - 6th round

     Bradshaw - #1 overall

How many of the "greatest passing" QB's of all time were high draft picks?

     Elway - #1 overall

     Manning - 1st round

     Marino - #1 overall

     Favre - 2nd round

Theres a reason that happens. The "winningest" Qb's are put on better teams and, surprise, they win more with better teams around them.

    What?

  2. I don't necessarily disagree with you but Brady has gotten deeper into the playoffs than Peyton post 2005. Brady has been to two SBs (same as Peyton) and four AFC champ games (two more than Peyton) and of course Brady only had two one and done's compared to five for Peyton.

He's right. Brady has done nothing:-)

  3. Didn't effect the outcome? Ummm, it changed everything because had they done it right there is no way Washington throws the passes they do to end the game. You and certain other Patriot fans are making your intrepid leader JJ look really bad now. The call in the Panthers game was botched, and the ref was right to pick up the flag for interference call because Gronkowski never could have caught it. If they had called holding it might have stood.

    What?

  4. Ever since Belicheck got caught cheating, he hasn't won a SB either.

Did his cheating win him every game?  No but against the good teams in the playoffs, it might have just given him enough of an edge.

    Please tell me you're kidding?

  5. Just out of morbid curiosity, when it's all said and done, would you rather Andrew Luck finish his career in Indianapolis with Tom Brady's accomplishments or Peyton's?

    Yeah, that's what I thought.

    Case closed.

    Great post. Simply stated.

  6. The victims? According to a Patriots fan.

You're saying the Jets game penalty is not in the rulebook? And what about yesterday when Brady was picked in the second quarter? Gronk wasn't able to magically turn around like everyone said he could versus the Panthers. And he actually tried yesterday. You can see him plant his foot, but his momentum carried him. The wrong penalty was called versus the Panthers, but the refs were right in the fact that it wasn't pass interference.

    Now you're just being silly.

  7. Yes because the Patriots games are the ONLY ones that matter.

No because the call in question didn't even effect the game. The Patriots calls ENDED the games. Name just ONE call on any team that was as wrong and ended the game? You can't. This is about officiating not the Patriots. They just happened to be the victims.

  8. If Denver picks up the second year, its 2 million more than NE?. Just asking.

I guess it's perspective. He'd already been paid much more than market value by NE the two previous seasons (talk about loyalty). 2 years guaranteed for 10 million as opposed to one for 6 million? Careers end every week in the NFL.

Keep those fingers crossed Mr. and Mrs. Welker.

  9. RIght but i hear NE offered 2 yr 10 millions vs 2 yr 12 millions which Denver did unless i am missing something

Wrong. Denver is a ONE YEAR deal with a CLUB option to pick up the second season. The Patriots deal was two years guaranteed and structured to pay him 8 million in 2013.

  10. You need to relax, did i say Denver offer was better?. I just asked why he left since you happen to know a lot about it.

I'm relaxed. Who said Denver was better? Ask Wes why he left. I have know idea all I know is NE offered a better deal than Denver.

  11. I am confused, if he was offered a better contract, why did he leave?.

You'd have to ask Wes. His new bride is from Denver so maybe that played a part? I hope you're not so misinformed as to think Denver's offer was better?

  12. But you were very happy when he was dropping all the balls and you have a welker emoticon etc and said he doesn't play well when mattered and now you call him the best slot receiver?.

He and Peyton are a good match. Wes is a great regular season player.

  13. Its a thread which discusses about AFC East and i commented to it, its not like i am running into a Colts thread and talk Pats.

The AFC East is middle of the pack as far as divisional power rankings. The AFC South not so much.

  14. You have?.

Is that why you were happy they let him go?.

Get your facts straight. He was offered a better contact by the Patriots than the one he signed in Denver. As his replacement Edelman is having a better year IMO.

  15. IM sick of people down playing wide receivers just because they are not house hold names.  Gronk is the best tight end in foot ball edlemen is very underrated gets great separation and has hands dobsin and thompkins are future studs get separartion and have been coming on  and amandola is a stud brady has weapons and about 10 seconds to throw the ball every play.....  and don't act like decker is a stud put him with a average qb and he is average and so is julius thomas

Can you show me one of your post from earlier this season praising the Patriots wide receivers?

  16.

    Dustin

    To lose the MVP now?

Peyton would have to call a press conference and admit that Elisabeth Hasselbeck is his 'love child',

the product of a 1990s affair with Hillary Clinton

(and independents would still vote for him)

Elizabeth Hasselbeck and Peyton are the same age.

  17. Why shouldn't PM get it? He's once again having a great regular season.

The MVP has kind of gone the way of the Pro Bowl IMO. It's just as much a popularity contest as anything else and Peyton has worked hard on that "Aw shucks I'm a good old boy" image just as much as his game.
