  1. Thats why he is 23-5 so far in Denver. You are right on the numbers part. They dont lie.

Yeah, Manning is the only player and coach for Colts. All their failures are purely his fault.

You are making a lot of sense like your previous comment of 10 is great than 12. Keep going.

Wes isn't signed or paid for next year yet. He could blow a knee or worse before the years out.

I should say Peyton is a warm weather no wind/dome QB. He played 1 game in Denver under freezing and lost. Yes it was the one and done again game. He's 23-5 in Denver? I don't think so.

  2. Seems to me there should be some kind of regulation on stadium design related to noise level. Prior to the Saints-Seahawks game I heard someone say the NFL is looking at the 49ers stadium design as it has structure at the top designed to bounce noise back on to the field. How much noise technically is allowed? There must be some point where the games will be called for noise. I know some are stopped temporarily but what if the crowd decide tuff luck. The official for example threatens to penalize in the last 8 seconds of a game. The crowd quiets down and after one play there is 2 seconds on the clock. The visitors snap the ball and there is a misplay due to new  noise, The visitors lose and they are eliminated from the Super Bowl. I am not whining here but in principle if stadiums are permitted to be built with an undisputable advantage to the home team regardless of fans then something should be done. Again I know in baseball (which is really more criminal than football in terms of stadiums) and football there are advantages  built in but at the money potential now days I think it is time to reexamine some of these parks (excluding Lucas of course).

Very good points. It's not the fans but the stadiums. I think the Seattle situation is ridiculous.

  3. He won only 1, Mike Tomlin, but thanks for trying, Pats fan :)

That did cross my mind...Cowher is probably a cheater as well. You know how organizations like that operate.

The only team that probably doesn't cheat in this day and age are the Colts.

  4. Hard to have that type of scoring? They scored pretty well against their two previous opponents in much harsher conditions, and better defenses. The Super Bowl was in a dome. Don't Pats fans, or the trolls not all, like to say Peyton is only so great because it's so easy to score in a dome?

The offense didn't hold their end while the defense did.

And I've always admitted Peyton should have played better in the 04 playoff game. The offense was disappointing that day. Especially following the high scoring week before.

Peyton is a dome guy just like Brees. Numbers and records don't lie.

How many SB's did the Manning led Colts make it to again?

  5. At worst it was intentional and at best, it was reckless and irresponsible.  Tomlin's lucky that it didn't ultimately affect the outcome of the game.  But the issue is, it very well could have...and god forbid it was a playoff game.  There was no reason for him to be on the field and the only way you can deter this type of conduct is by automatically attributing the affected team with a TD, IMO.  But until that rule is in place, loss of draft pick(s) will suffice.  Tomlin knew or should have known where he was, no excuses.

Nice post. Tomlin has no business even being on the White Line. He was three feet into play and knew exactly what he was doing and it was dumb. Especially since he was admittingly watching it on TV.

  6. Do i really need to say? Its luck of course. Wilson is a game manager punk, let's be honest.

Honestly we see different things when watching the games.

There are close to 30 teams that wish they has such a manager. That's a good system in Seattle. Maybe some other teams will emulate it next season. It is a copy cat league.

  7. I didnt think people still used the "Just rings argument". Its a combination of everything. Its just rings are the last part of the equation.

Great Individual success: Stats, ability, League marketability

    Great Individual accomplishments: MVPs, Records,

Great Success within a team: Regular Season/Playoff Records

    SB Success: Rings or Appearances

    SB Accomplishments: MVP, Records

These are what makes the GoAT argument.

Some guys, Montana/Brady/Manning have every single one of these traits. Other guys, like Marino/Bradshaw/Aikman, only have a few. But in cases like Montana/Brady/Manning since they meet all the criteria, it begins the question what is the most valued of the accomplishments? MVPs? Records? SBs?....Generally it is regarded as SBs.....

Only Trolls use the ring thing.
