  1. theres a group that does stock game picking for the week and may use this, i noticed in some threads some questions of this high a spread on the road and which to take, that's why i noted it 1st thing , it was covered in my OP

    in topic

    http://forums.colts....ts/#entry352362

as far as scoring more, I actually wanted them to try for a TD as were having redzone issue, so better to practice in game situation than in practice drills , couldnt care if was by run or pass but wanted another , 2 of 7 red zone TDs isnt good and Broncos were great at that before this game

Ramirez though allowed redzone sacks , that was 1 issue

He scares me if kuper cant go Vs Ravens & in playoffs

Yeah, me too! Almost as much as losing DT.

  2. San Francisco Chronicle headline said it all this morning: Just Wince, Baby!

I actually feel sad for the Raiders/Oaktown. They played hard for the most part. I like Dennis Allen. I cannot imagine how hard it must have been to coach last night after burying his dad. And the accident at the Coliseum...It just feels like they are cursed. I don't want to see our rivalry coming down this low. It's bad for the NFL/AFCW. I hope they can regain their dignity somehow.

We really miss Kuper when he is out. ManRam/Franklin combination on the right side was sketchy. Peyton played well despite that. And Decker played better, though I still worry about him a little bit. He is too much of a star in Denver. Being young, successful and plain gorgeous, and married to the same. I hope he won’t lose focus. Knowshon is not perfect but he is running hard. He gets a solid B+ from me. And I'm sure the field condition was poor. We soaked 5 days out of the last 7.

Nitpicking aside, I'm truly happy with the 8th win in a row. It's amazing what this team has done already. I was not expecting it this year. I thought the team needed time to develop and more playmakers on both sides (not to say that they cannot use some now). What Peyton has brought really changed the team. He and Champ have been great leaders. And I’m so happy to see Demaryius becoming a star (I was worried sick when he went out and thought our offense stalled during that time). And what more can I say about Von Miller? I cannot take my eyes off him.

  3. they had trouble getting to big ben & stopping him on long 3rd downs and pulled that game out

I am not saying they are better than texans, just better than initial part of season , sorry if u cant see that, I give texans all the credit in the world, guess u cant to others

    "B" ..agreed

I think its obvious that If the Colts play at Houston next month,,,,

The Texas wont be seeing the same caliber of team they saw in September..

This is absolutely true. The Broncos will admit that themselves. They've gotten better as chemistry developed in all areas. And it continues to.

Though last night I dreamed that the Texans spanked us again :)

  4. it's the only nfl stadium right in the middle of a ghetto

dont get caught walking to your car.....Bronco fans

I wouldn't call that area a "ghetto" but the presence of the Raider nation makes it so.

I will never ever go to the Oakland Coliseum. A friend of mine who was stupid enough to go there in Eagles gear nearly got into a fight. Imagine showing up in Broncos gear.

  5. analogy, its very easy to give up, but untill u r counted out u must fight

similarly with health issues , after gaining 90 pounds as they tried to diagnose me ( picture going 135 to 225 pounds on a 5'4" frame in 9 months ) , then post op infection and basically a beached whale when once was aerobics 4 x a week after work , i could of easily gave up, Drs now use me as example for others how the body can if the mind is willing fight back, lost all weight, walk when told shouldnt be able to, and have a good life , only problem I really hate right now is gained back 12 - 15 pounds in last few years as metabolism slowed as cant work out anymore with my situation, trying varying own designed diets to help alter this, at least have stabilized , & untill i was so disabled couldnt work out i held that weifgt off for af good 23 years

am i touting my own horn YES , I am quite proud of myself for not giving up

& so should Moreno and all peoples in life that just keep fighting and do the best they can no matter what life throws at them

    Barry, you are amazing.

I think toughness and patience are two most important attributes we can develop. And props to Knowshon for not giving up after all the injuries and demotion he's suffered. It would be nice if he can turn this into a success story long term.

  6. Knowshon Moreno key to helping balance Denver Broncos' offense against Oakland Raiders

For now, it's a moot point to talk about the exceptional play of Peyton Manning. There's no reason to think Manning, a leading NFL MVP candidate, will cool off in the Black Hole.

What Oakland presents is a chance for Broncos to keep tuning up their running game without Willis McGahee,

The Raiders also are No. 28 in run defense, so the opportunity will be there for the Broncos offensive line to wear them down and get Moreno going to support Manning.

Moreno had success with his 24 combined touches for 111 yards in his Nov. 25 start against the Kansas City Chiefs,

the same exact workload a week later against Tampa Bay Buccaneers' stouter run defense that produced 83 yards.

Expect Moreno to be busy again, first to help set up play-action pass plays for Manning, and later to help grind down the clock with what figures to be a big lead.

    http://www.oregonlive.com/nfl/index.ssf/2012/12/knowshon_moreno_key_to_helping.html

I hope Knowshon has a good game tonight. I've been so impressed with him for not getting down emotionally and keep grinding. it couldn't have been easy for him.

  7. Sez Mark Barron:

Peyton Manning has a seven-game winning streak. He has 29 touchdowns this season, a Broncos team record, putting him ahead of John Elway. The adjustments Manning made during last week's game against Tampa Bay left Buccaneers players stunned.

"It was amazing, almost like I thought he was cheating," safety Mark Barron told the Tampa Tribune. "I was just kind of in amazement that he was able to recognize some the things that we were doing. Most of it was new but he picked up on it and he recognized a lot of the things that we were doing."

    Cute!

  8. it really is a weird season every week

    Broncos-Raiders Wednesday Injury Report

    DT Seymore is out

    , stokley questionable

    & woodyard Doubtful,

I wouldnt count on those 2 unless stokel;y needed late and is dressed

Looks Like Raiders will have McFadden back for 1st time in a while, missed 4 weeks, should be fresh unless still has some health issues with ankle but their practice reports were saying he made great cutbacks

    http://www.milehighr...y-injury-report

Thanks. I'm looking forward to seeing DJ/Danny play more. I wonder how they are doing after abandoning their failed attempt at zone blocking scheme. I haven't been following the Raiders much this year—no reason to, thankfully.

  9. You want to know what I would love to see......???

I'd love to see someone put in a lineup all those people in the media, and all those so called experts and fans, who in the off-season said he'd never be able to play after these neck surgeries, and how ONE hit would take him out of the game forever... Yeah I'd really like to see someone put those people in a line-up so I could watch them eat Crow.

And if they are good people, they would do so happily.

  10. 'also a good read

Broncos-Buccaneers Film Study: -- ( Visuals with explanations ) - A Sequence of Plays That Turned the Tables

FROM A 10-7 DEFICIT TO 28-10 LEAD, WHAT HAPPENED?

    http://www.milehighreport.com/2012/12/4/3724170/film-study-den-v-tb-a-sequence-of-plays-that-turned-the-tables

Fabulous. Peyton and Demaryius have been great together. Some of Peyton's throws to Thomas have been just brilliant lately (DT getting to right spots).

  11. Its the last bastion of the broken down gambler to blame the kicker...

They arent 100%....never were never will be..

Bottom line....Give 10 at Oakland at your own risk.

Many say..NEVER give 10 points on the road in the NFL...

never is a long, long time

Yes, apparently not never ;) We have two of those this year already against our division rivals. I cannot remember that last time that happened if ever.

  12. If manning can't beat Oakland than manning - s-u-c-k-s!!!!! The raiders are the most confused offense and defensive's team

in football how they even won a game I'll never know. The raiders are the most disorganized team in football they look most of

the time like they don't even know what a team is. OK, MAYBE THIS IS A TRAP? DOUBT IT!!!! BUT THEN AGAIN I'M AN OLD RAIDERS FAN AND NOT A MANNING FAN, SO!!! GO RAIDERS!!!!!

I agree! The Raiders are so, so sad even I have sympathy for them at this point. It's really hard to keep my haterism going now that Al is gone. I think the Broncos is going to be fine, they better be. It would ruin my party Thursday night!

  13. Two words..... Trap Game.

Sure. Allen's father's passing is also a point of motivation, perhaps. Me being overconfident is a bad sign, too. But the Broncos is far superior. We shall see. It looks like it's going to be dry at least here on Thursday.

  14. Thanks my friend & u too love the YODA

it was just really amazing watching run the audience and game clock management & audibles all at once

just like earlier when he knew he caught 12 guys on field ,

demanded fox throw the challenge flag and thus get the first down when the refs for 2nd or 3rd time this year werent watching or counting right, got arerial photos to show fox to prove it, My only qusetion was why Fox wasted a timeout to make sure, just take peytons word for it

Yeah, I heard Fox talking about it yesterday. He said he had no idea about 12 men on the field with a laugh. No one, not the officials, not any of our staff knew that. Let's hope that Fox has learned to trust Peyton more now.

  15. Living in Houston I can tell you Foster is a very subdued and serious person. He gives the impression "excitement" meansn waking up in the morning. He is a very professional and smart dresser but not flashy by any means. I get the impression he will pursue a law practice or professors job after football. Either way the guy will succeed not matter what.

I respect that. I think being calm is a real strength. And I cannot help but love a baller who is interested in quantum physics!

  16. I wouldnt blame the kicker...for missing a 45-50-yarder

...one thing in support of what you're saying...Peyton Manning does not come out of the game. he's there to work for 4 quarters.

Its got to be a blowout for him to take a seat...

I am a little worried about Prater. He's usually a really great kicker (or has until now) who has no trouble with 45+, very reliable and clutch, but he has been dicey lately. I hope he can fix whatever is wrong before the post season.

  17. Congrats to the Broncos and Peyton for winning the AFC West so early!

Well, thank God for San Diego/KC/Oakland!

here is Detroit free press saying d same thing about just running to kill a clock & not using one's weapons, but for trhem Our Colts won

-- Detroit Free Press: Columnist Drew Sharp says the loss was "all-encompassing." And, where was Calvin Johnson and his 13 catches on that last drive? "When the Lions needed that final first down to ice the game, they ignored Johnson and kept the ball on the ground."

SAME THING TO ME re FOX calls

    http://www.mlive.com/lions/index.ssf/2012/12/what_theyre_saying_detroit_lio.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+detroit-lions+%28Detroit+Lions+-+MLive.com%29

It's really hard to get the haterism going when your team wins 7 in a row ;) But yeah, this is what drives me nuts about John Fox, Jim Harbaugh and David Shaw.

  18. someone would say Peyton ways padding stats in garbage time but agree, why let a team slip back , thats 2 weeks in a row now really

I dislike Foxs conservative nature which seems to excessive many times on cals

Yeah, me too! Why don't they just go for a chokehold? It's a little frustrating. But I've been complaining about every coach we've ever had in some ways, so I will let this one go :)

7 wins in a row! I'm feeling good. And what makes me feel even better is that this team is all about business. No sense of panic when they were down 7-10 at the half, and after locking up AFCW this early, Kevin Vickerson said they had accomplished nothing. I love this team. Looking forward to spanking the Raiders this week.

  19. Hope you enjoy this article from LA Times. A lot of it has been reported before but there's also some new stuff at least to me.

    Go Peyton!

    ---------------

"He was still in shock when he got here," Elway said. "That's when I told him, 'Peyton, you can take these trips and visit. But you need to just take your time and not rush into anything. You need to get your arms around what's happened. Then you can take the next step.'

"We went to dinner over at Cherry Hills [Country Club]. We're sitting on the sofa talking, and I just told him, 'I understand.' He was just saying, 'Everyone's telling me, my wife's telling me, it's in the paper. I know it. But it still shocks me.' And you could tell. But I think that's the mind-set of great players. There's no way you can let it go."

The Broncos saw him throw and were satisfied. They were one of three teams that were finalists to land him, the others being San Francisco and Tennessee.

Manning said his top concern was actually being the player those team owners — Denver's Pat Bowlen, Tennessee's Bud Adams and San Francisco's John York — expected to get.

"When you sign with a team, when I met with Mr. Bowlen and he said, 'I want you here,' same way when I met with Bud Adams, or when I met with York in San Francisco, I feel that responsibility to be the player they wanted," he said.
