  1. Is it possible that the Ravens win? Absolutely, any given Sunday (or in this case Saturday)

Do I think theyll win. Heck no.

Ravens players and fans keep talking about "revenge"...Well ya know what. We dont care. The Broncos are showing that they are focused and they are the more professional team. Mile High will be deafening loud and our defense will be too much for the Ravens to handle.

Im just ready for some playoff football. All of Denver has been oranged out. Cant wait!!!

I'm counting on you guys to make a lot of noise. I want to see Flacco face down on the ground one more time!

Have a great time at SAF@MH.

  2. From USA Today

Archie Manning has been making it a point not to bother his son too much during his first season in Denver, but this much is clear from those phone calls: Peyton Manning is happy and enjoying football more than ever.

"I know for sure he's not taking it for granted. I think he's elated," Archie Manning told USA TODAY Sports this week. "Peyton's always been a grinder, but I think he's enjoying it more. I think he maybe reflects more, and he's soaking up every moment."

    http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/broncos/2013/01/10/denver-broncos-peyton-manning-comes-back-strong/1825109/

    From Yahoo

"He wants it to be perfect every time," Thomas said. "I used to round my routes, not make a clean break every time. He started saying, 'You round your route, you don't get the ball.' He wasn't yelling or anything, but you could tell he was serious. I never had anybody work with me like that before, push me so hard to be right every single time."

  3. Does this mean I think they will win no, but it worries me when u arent worried ( LOL )

    You have a point ;)

When anxiety takes over, i take refuge in Brian Burke. He has the probability of Denver win at 78%, the highest of all teams playing this weekend:

    http://fifthdown.blogs.nytimes.com/

Let's think about the flip side. Baltimore is older, traveling to Denver with little time to adjust to the altitude (not that I think it's as much of a big deal as people make out to be), having played only 6 days ago. And Baltimore has to run against our defense (3rd rushing D). We can run, too, you know? I have a lot of faith in our defense even if offense has a hitch or two.

  4. So tebow isnt going to be a jaguar, and we all know he wont be a Jet, because they are likely to release him if they cant find someone to trade for him.

Teams that could use a QB

    - Arizona: they went through three different QB's and none of them have panned out. Kolb shows signs of getting better, then he either A) gets hurt or B) falls apart for a couple games. Skelton cant really complete a pass and is inaccurate and then there is lindley who was a rookie this year BUT really struggled at times.

KC: trading for cassell was suppose to give them their QB for years to come, well that didnt work out to well as he is stay hurt more then he sees playing time. they have brady quinn and stanzi but neither one was able to do anything this year. maybe you could blame the oline for not blocking good and that may be the case but i dont think any one of those three guys is starter material.

Buffalo: there has been talk about buffalo looking for  a QB and could possibly be in on Vick. I guess their not really sold on fitzpatrick getting them into the playoffs. even so, I dont know if any QB can carry them into the playoffs. their whole team is inconsitent. one week they show up the next they dont.

Big question is, can tebow go to any of these three teams and start??? and if so what would be his best option???

my opinion, i think arizona is his better option. he has receivers with fitz, floyd, roberts and a decent run game in ryan williams and beanie wells (if they resign him). their defense with a pick up of a DB and DT should be pretty good next year.

it isnt like tebow has not started before, and he did turn around a bronco team that was facing a season in last place. got them to the playoffs and stood in the pocket long enough in OT to throw a perfect pass that resulted in a long run for a TD. he obviously made his team better and i honestly do not believe he was given a fair chance in new york. some reason they were stuck on sanchez and when they took him out, they put in mccelroy. which really only told me one thing and one thing only. they wanted tebow for the wildcat formation and when teams finally started learning how to stop it they had no use in him anymore. if released tebow could come really cheap.

    http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/story/_/id/8833076/tim-tebow-new-york-jets-not-jacksonville-jaguars-plans-new-gm-says

Just saw a clip of Jag's GM saying "I cannot imagine a scenario he is a Jacksonville Jaguar even if he is released." He could be out of the league. Too bad.

  5. FOX Sports’ Peter Schrager is going out on a limb and picking the Ravens to win.

Schrager’s argument is that Denver hasn’t really played any strong teams since early this season when the Broncos got off to a 4-3 start.

(( I MUST ADMIT I WISH DOWN THE STRETCH DENVER HAD SOME BETTER TEAMS TO UP THE COMPETITION  THEY PLAYED AGAINST )))

They got beat by the Falcons, handled by the Texans and outmanned by the Patriots.

Are you trying to mess with my confidence? :D

If so, it's working! Just a little bit. Yes, it would have been nice to see them play tougher opponents toward the end of the season, but I really believe this is not the team we saw earlier. The Broncos pretty much dominated since Oct 7, and I can see so much progress in every area. While I can be talked into waking up at 5:30 am with butterfly in my stomach like Elway, my cool headed side says "relax and believe."

  6. Fun read! This passage made me laugh:

You might become best friends, too, if you both had to deal with the joy and the hell of playing with a picky perfectionist like Manning every day.

"Our favorite," Decker says, "is when he comes to you on the sideline after you screw up and asks you a question he already knows the answer to. He'll be like, 'Now, on the down and in, are you supposed to cut that up at 5 yards or 7?' And you'll be like, 'Five,' even though you both know you were at 7. And he'll be like, 'Oh, OK. Thanks.'"

People think Manning has done for Decker and Thomas what Madonna did for bras. But they might try looking at it from the other end.

I love that they are getting national recognition. They are smart, hard-working youths, and they will only get better.

  7. The enduring wonder of the Manning-Moore offense was not only its incredible success, but the way that success came about: by running the fewest play concepts of any offense in the league. Despite having one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time under center, the Colts eschewed the conventional wisdom of continually adding volume to their offense in the form of countless formations and shifts.

"I can give [you] the playbook," said former Manning backup quarterback Jim Sorgi in 2010, Manning's last full season in Indianapolis. "There is not that many teams they're going to play who don't know what they're going to do. It's all about execution. Their coaches are like, 'We'll tell the other team what we're doing. They got to stop us.' That's what they do. That's what they're all about. And not many teams have been able to stop them yet."

Sorgi was not kidding. Out-executing opponents is easier with no. 18 and the veterans around him, but the offense Moore developed for Manning drew its strength from its simplicity. By using a small number of personnel groups — typically either three wide receivers and a tight end, or two wide receivers and two tight ends — it limited the number of possible responses from the defense and made it easier for Manning to diagnose its weak spots from both a speedy no-huddle (used whenever a defense tried to substitute) and a regular pace of play.

    Very much enjoyed the read-

  8. If I remember Porter plays for the Broncos now right? Well he could get his share of picks on Flacco.

He is but he will likely not play. He has been dogged with illness and Chris Harris/Tony Carter played so well in his place (better than Porter actually), he is kind of an odd man out at this point. It didn't help he had a concussion his first game back against Cleveland. I'm afraid he might even be the one who will be cut/placed on IR to activate McGahee. Either way, he won't be back next season, I'm sure.

  9. Thats what i usually use. the fees are crazy but its fast and easy

I'm going there then if I don't land tix with Ticketmaster.

Andrew Mason just tweeted: Rahim Moore: "The way we're practicing, man, it's unreal. It's the best I've ever seen. You would have thought it was a game out there today (at practice). A lot of pads popping, a lot of guys making plays."

    So PUMPED.

  10. Prices arent too bad on nfl ticket exchange right now. Id suspect theyd be doubled for the championship game though.

If I go Ill be making some noise. Joe Flacco wont be able to hear himself think

LOL!  I'd hate that to happen to Flacco, but not this Staurday.

I hope I won't have to use ticket exchange...

  11. I am. I will probably be going to the game this weekend. And If we advance then Id love to get my hands on championship tickets. Theyre going to be EXPENSIVE though.

Either way its going to be LOUD. I want to see the cameras to start shaking.

Cool. I'm so jealous. Enjoy the game and make some NOISE!

I'm willing to break the bank for the next game. I know it's going to be hard but I will try certainly.

  12. with Ray Lewis & Suggs back I want a strong middlle and Kuper better to protect Peyton, than Manny , just hope strength and conditioning maintained well with whatever the injury he had was

    article didnt mention Kuper

    ========================================================

Hope u read the 5 keys, the 5 key players back from injury is only 1 of the 5 keys overall keys,

    New offensive line has geelled,

2nd running back now offeres a 2 headed spear instead of just rice which will help them at mile high and he has speed , diferent tyope of back

other items noted in article, all discussed  in it not just listed

Yeah, I did. It's not that I'm not concerned. But I just feel like that they are going to play well. Being at MH is a big advantage, and the Broncos play-by-play guy said that there is a sense of unity and purpose in the locker room, and young guys are working really hard because they hate to be the one to let Peyton down. Eddie Mac said the same thing. And getting Kuper back is a huge comfort factor for me. I think they'll come through even if it's a tough game.

  13. Broncos' Willis McGahee, Ryan Clady return to practice field

5 KEY  Ravens Changes From Last Denver Game that improve their game

    http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/5-Ravens-Changes-From-Last-Denver-Game/fde8375c-32c3-4cf7-b631-9951e4796c29

No one seems to be worried about Clady and Kuper, so that's a relief. Though Manny has played well the last few games in Kuper's stead. If he is not full strength, Manny can play also.

If the Broncos are vastly superior to the Colts in every facet of the game, do you agree that a rookie (Luck) being only 2 wins behind Manning (who is fav for the MVP) should really be the winner? Makes sense, yes? You behind me?

Well, offensive and defensive rankings show Denver at 4th and 2nd if you believe such things. But my eyes say so, too. Our front 7 on both sides and secondary are really very good. And while I'm a big Reggie fan, I would argue Thomas and Decker are as good a tandem as anyone in the league. During the last Colts' game, my husband uttered "how did they win 11 games?" I couldn't answer that. Numbers can be funny. No one is a bigger Andrew Luck fan than I am, and I do know what he can do because I've seen it all from him. And the Colts definitely have the intangibles. But Denver hasn't lost a game since October 7. And all the games were won by more than 7 points. I've never felt this comfortable with our team since 1997.

  14. Excellent article, ya he just lost out to a RB in 2005, never realized if read this right

    1. i can have a half vote, gues split your Vote ?

    2. Peterson scored far fewer TDs than previous   RBs save for farther back in history & didnt realize was so poor at revceving few catches , nill yards and some drops

3 Disdnt realize when the team had a surprise 5-2 start. That was Percy Harvin, who led the league in all-purpose yards before suffering a season-ending injury.so Petersoons contribution was later

However u have to give some of Ponders late season playing quite wekll and yes without it woldnt have won but by keying on Peterson it made things easier on Ponder but he still had to dewliver the strikes when he did throw

Peter King even said Sunday (Week 17 finale) had him change his vote from Manning to Peterson.

KING has a vote , others noted and article writer doesnt

I wouldn't be upset if AP wins. He is VERY deserving, even if I disagree with the voters who is more deserving. I would not split my vote.

Here is what Peyton's teammates say about the Manning Effect:

    http://denver.cbslocal.com/2013/01/05/manning-has-made-all-of-the-broncos-better/

  15. Sure they will try their best

I only have a periphery of knowledge of going ons of Broncos , how shall i say  Shannahangans, from earlier years than this

    Here is a concise version:

    http://www.realclearsports.com/lists/coach_killers/john_elway_dan_reeves.html

Basically, Shanahan was Reeves's assistant and he fired Shanahan for "conspiring against" him with Elway, Elway got Dan Reeves fired (I would say he deserved it) and Shanahan hired a few years later. Though Elway and Shanahan famously don't get along, either.

  16. No one cares about the Bronco records even though John Elway is considered a top tier QB of all time? Manning breaks all of Elway's records and still gets blasted for not doing enough!

NO ONE does more for a team year in and year out than Peyton Manning. Ask the Denver team who they would rather have as their QB, and yet one of the excuses for Manning not worthy of MVP is that the Broncos went to the playoffs last year. Let's see...8-8 in 2011, 13-3 Number 1 Seed 2012. Yeah, no big deal. (sarcasm) I remember Herm Edward's at the beginning of the year saying that the Broncos would be 9-7 at the end of this season.

Manning couldn't even throw a football last year, something all QB's should be able to do (sarcasm, again). This man deserves all the accolades. What Peterson did is amazing as well, but Manning changed the culture of football in Denver with the fans, the team, and the coaches and did it in one year!

You are right. This team feels a lot different. Their mentality and attitude seem completely changed. Our players tell you how Peyton raised all boats including making our defense better. And look at the pair of our 3rd-year receivers! They both had their 1000-yard season (first time since 2004). Their growth this year has been amazing and Peyton played a very large part in it. Demaryius Thomas didn't know how to run routes as he did none of that in college. Both of them missed a lot of time to develop in injuries and Tebow offense their first two years as a pro.

Two years ago, we were 4-12. Last year was a freak accident. In fact, John Elway's plan was to put Tebow in as demanded and have #1 pick to select Andrew Luck. Tebow screwed us over.

Peyton's intangibles are hard to quantify. Yet, any close observers of the Broncos can see it very clearly.

Another case made by Scott Kacsmar:

Voting History: Why Peyton Manning Should Run Away With NFL MVP Award

    http://www.coldhardfootballfacts.com/content/voting-history-why-peyton-manning-should-run-away-with-nfl-mvp-award/20626/

  17. Yes,  rather keep Mcoy, He Know The Players & their abilities, another year with the groupo to develop would be good

but Peyton Better be in that interview and give seal of approval & have a long discussion on what e he expects out of an OC

Imagine u hire an OC but he must first pass inspection & requirements of The QB

Hey, Elway has some experience in that (remember, Dan Reeves vs Mike Shannahan/Elway?) :) So he'll do the right thing by Peyton, I'm sure.

  18. REally ! ! !   big deal  ! ! !   he was there watching, is he going to watch again for a week and just play cold  ???????

    ===============================================

I wonder what drill participation for holiday means  ????, Is that just stretching driils, wish he practices catching, whatever its more than he did previous week

LOL. He is just being cute.

  19. Whether he is with the team or not really doesn't matter since Manning will do his job as the actual offensive coordinator.

Yeah, for this reason, I'm not worried about McCoy leaving.

Tom Moore to replace him? I know he's old but he is only needed a few years. In any case, Peyton will be consulted.

Mike McCoy is still scheduled to have these 4 HC interviews / meetings this weekend

Satrday with the Bills and Cardinals .

Bears and Eagles are set for Sunday.

The Bills and Eagles are scheduled to meet with Oregon coach Chip Kelly in Arizona this weekend. .

I feel Chicago by far is the best job, but there is Cutler/Marshall thing that happened in Denver and McCoy was there to experience it all. If he's offered a job there, it will be interesting to see if he takes it.
