Lol @ Tom Raper RV comment.
I used to drive back and forth between Connecticut and Illinois for law school, and I swear that for a while there, half the signs on that stretch of highway were double entendres. Sadly, they seem to have shifted in a slightly less terrifying direction with their advertising.

I'm suprised by some of the vehemence being shown against this idea,if Luck goes down it's season over anyway so you might as well get a decent draft pick out of it. Besides if a good price was offered you really should be taking it on principle,
However no way the Rams want any piece of such a trade.
Why is it that everyone in this thread thinks the only type of injury a player can suffer is a season-ending one?
-
Kyle Cook, a former Bengal, and Mike Pollak, a former Colt are still available that I like for our scheme at the Center position.
No need to rush anything and lose draft picks.
Didn't everyone think Pollak was terrible when he was here?

I thought the defense was pretty consistently in the right positions last night, and there were very few spectacular screw-ups, it's just that the defense kept missing out on drive killing plays by a step here or a few inches there or a broken tackle. The most disappointing thing about the defensive performance was how little would have had to be different for it to have been an excellent performance.

Then, maybe we can all stay on topic.
I'd normally agree, but frankly, this topic kind of sucks anyway. I would say that 6 months from now we won't remember either of these guys' names, but that's being rather generous to our memories 2 months from now.
I can not think of a more useless position aside from backup kicker. Backup LS maybe?
Syrup boy. Like the water boy, but he's there to give cups of corn syrup to players at practice.
Ironically, the only guy who does less business than the syrup boy is the hotcake vendor. Because they're not selling like... eh... you know. :whatever:

O.K., let me see if I have this straight.
Colts waive Parkey.
Eagles waive Fluellen.
Colts claim Fluellen.
Eagles claim Parkey.
Virtually, a trade.
Everyone's O.K. with that.
HOWEVER, if they ACTUALLY trade those two players, there's a rub?
Is that correct?
Apparently people are upset we settled for Fluellen when we could have gotten the Eagles to trade us Evan Mathis for Parkey.
-
Loiseau (whose last name means "the bird" in French) was on the roster during training camp last year, I think.
Well, Grigson likes trades, maybe we can flip him for something.
-
true and i agree he had no chance after that but people make mistakes just remarking on how im sure he had to ice up afterwards it looked painful
-
Eagles kicker has been struggling.
Parkey has a higher chance to make the Eagles than this RB does to make our squad
Parkey had zero chance to make our roster, since we were a couple hours away from cutting him today anyway. Ergo, this RB has more value to us than Parkey. That Parkey has more value to the Eagles than this RB is irrelevant.

It's exactly what it's like in the UK
Good film, nothing to do with having a massive crush on Natalie Portman of course.
On a related note, the Star Wars prequels were fantastic.
From a certain point of view.
-
We got an injured RB: NOTHING
So why trade something for nothing?
By that logic you should never cut players (like we were about to do with the guy we traded), but that doesn't work, because there's a roster limit.
-
I wonder who will be the first person to complain about how this is the biggest mistake Grigson's ever made.
-
Clearly a classical clash in which I would hope we would clampdown on those clumsy clowns
The progress our team presents in this game shall be a mere prelude to a premier era for our program, if the protocols we have proscribed in practice prevent our more prominent pratfalls.
Stop me if I'm getting too... prosaic.
-
I would love to see them go out and stymie the Saints!
We are going to stymy the stuffing out of those stiffs.
-
I agree with you there. Luck has exercised restraint in throwing any player under the bus, let alone a starting offensive teammate. If he were to throw someone under a bus, I'd rather it be Harnish .
I heard Harnish tried to throw himself under the bus, but he missed.

You young whippersnappers don't know nothing, the great deafening of 2021... Now that's a deafening.
Oh please, that deafening didn't even involve the robots.
-
Man, I think the Giants' offense is terrible.
-
Curtis Painter sighting.
-
Gonna have to ask the New York Giants announcers about this guy the Colts have at WR named Derek Rogers. Don't know anything about him, seems pretty good.
-
That was the silliest looking pass ever.
-
So, like, we don't REALLY have a good run defense, right? When the regular season comes, we're gonna be mediocre, right?
Because that's not really something this team, y'know, does...
-
I think the game is repeated on the NFL Network at 11pm EST.
Set your DVRs!
Sweet! I'm in the New York area, so I get to watch it, and then I GET TO WATCH IT AGAIN, at a REASONABLE HOUR!!!

So, what, instead of Andrew Luck and Anthony Castonzo we would have ended up with, I guess, Andy Dalton and, I dunno, Riley Reiff? Assuming we were picking mid-1st with Dalton? And even if we were picking first, then Andy Dalton and either Trent Richardson or Matt Kalil?
I mean, I like Matt Kalil and all, and Dalton isn't terrible, but I think we got the much sweeter end of that deal right there, even if you give us Kalil or Kuechly or someone on that level in 2012.
Can we sign Bob Sanders?

Heck, let's go out and sign Chad Cota while we're at it...
