  1. lol doesnt make sense? Imagine if your the DC or CB. Just trying to game plan for Wayne, Moss, Collie, Garcon, and Clark is almost impossible. The name alone will make defensive schemes change. Just them having the thought of a down the field threat, IMO would open up our running game even more. I say give it a shot for a year. I would just like to see Peyton with a a guy like this on our team. Never really had a guy like this. Harrison was awesome, but not the same reciver as Moss

By that logic we should also have signed Braylon Edwards, Sidney Rice, and Plaxico Burress and making other teams gameplann for Wayne, Moss, Collie, Garcon, Clark, Edwards, Rice, and Burress.

You can only put so many guys out there at once. The money we'd spend on Moss would be better spent elsewhere.

  2. yes we need dbs and linebackers

Our linebackers are not really that bad. The squad is better than it's been most of the last few years anyway. At least we don't have anyone like Gilbert "Where am I and what am I doing" Gardner or Freddie "Do something interesting for once" Keiaho. Brackett is Brackett, Angerer is definitely an up and coming player, and while Sims probably was drafted too high in the top 10, he did rack up a ton of tackles for Detroit - and frankly, our linebackers racking up more tackles than our safeties would be an improvement at this point. Connor looks promising. We maybe could use some depth at LB (resign Hagler?), but they're not that bad.

Additionally, I would hope that the d-line improvments make our LBs look better by comparison. Any LB unit would look worse when the RB has three choices of which hole to hit and two free blockers in the second level by the time he takes the handoff.

  3. Gonzo is kinda fragile, but it's not like Clark, Garcon, and Collie have much of an injury "history". They just all happened to be injured at the same time. Prior to Clark getting hurt last year, he'd started 36 straight games and 52 of his last 54. What basis do you have for suggesting he can't stay healthy?

Name me one NFL team that has as good a #1-3 WR, #1 TE, #1 RB group of receivers in the NFL. One team that has a better receiving group of 5 than Wayne, Collie, Garcon, Clark, and Addai.

  4. the pats make sure brady has superstars to throw to and they always have a burner we could use one too

You keep saying the same thing over and over. This is, like, your 5th post saying the exact same thing in this thread.

And what superstars, aside from Moss? Chad Joh-er, Ochocinco isn't very good anymore, and he's not really a burner anyway. If Moss dropped off the face of the earth in New England, why would he do much better in Indy?

Seriously, lets compare the Colts and Patriots receiving corps right now, since you seem to think that the Pats are giving Brady weapons and the Colts are stiffing Manning.

    Wayne > Ochocinco (no question)

Collie >/= Welker (if he'd been healthy last season it would be a >, as it is it's an =)

Garcon > anyone else on the Patriots (Edelman, Branch, Tate, etc.)

Gonzo is probably better than them too.

Tamme + Clark is probably better than the Patriots TE combo.

Seriously, every single one of your posts so far has been about how bad the LBs, safeties, and WRs are. And no, Bob Sanders is not going to lead the Chargers to a super bowl dynasty, and no, Ernie Sims is not a no-name career backup.

  5. when our players show what they can do and want money we let them go to our rivals and then we get some guy who was mowing lawns last week but who works cheap what a way to get to the super bowl no wonder we still cant stop the run or run the ball

So you're saying that Ernie Sims doesn't have a landscaper then? :jump:

Session was worth, maybe, half what Jacksonville paid him. Sims may not have lived up to his top 10 overall draft position, but he's still got a higher ceiling than Session.

Honestly, losing Session is more like losing Cato June than like losing David Thornton or Mike Peterson.

As a side note, the Jags are paying Session a higher percentage of the cap (and, obviously, more money overall, since the cap has gone up) than the Titans and Jags paid Thornton and Peterson, respectively. That's crazy. He's good, but he's not THAT good.

  6. Payton? Walter Payton? When did we get Sweetness?

WHY DIDN'T SOMEONE TELL ME THIS?!

    Zombie Walter Payton.

He's still like 75% of what he was, which is good, but apparently he already ate Ryan Diem's brains.

Hopefully that will help with the false starts.

  7. Man, what a terrible first post.

And I should know. This is my first post, and it's not exactly rainbows and bloody butterflies either. :hide:

Anyway, I like the guys we signed. And Sanders is going to play, like, 4 games with the Chargers. Doesn't help that they massively overpaid Weddle either.
