Pep Hamilton wants to come in and change the culture. He wants to work with Lucks footwork and he sounds like if you're not on board with him go somewhere else. He wants guys to learn the playbook and wants them to know the fundamentals. He's definitely will be much more demanding than Arians was and is. So it'll take some guys a while to get used to that. I'm not sure how to take him yet! What is everybody else's opinion? Because his attitude could be a good thing or maybe a bad thing depending how he treats these guys.
I love his perspective and attitude.
He isn't cultivating a garden of daisies.

It seems that another option that the Colts have for him is rushing the passer!
So he's a LB then?
-
I still believe that comes second to the pass Andrew Luck threw to Austin Collie vs the Rams back in pre-season when he froze the safety on the hash mark and delivered a TD to Collie
That thing shot out of Luck's hand like a bullet. THAT pass for me was confirmation: this kid is the real deal.

Coby Fleener will more than likely make the bigger jump considering all the obvious reasons. Someone at NFL.com is watching last year's tapes apparently. Par for the preseason course.
-
Walden will start.
-
There seems to be some ambiguity regarding whether he is a LB or TE.
Regardless, he'll be lucky to survive the 1st cut. At best right now, he is a special teams player. If he makes it through, he's likely to be PSd anyway. Nice story. Good for him and good luck.

I think it all comes down to pass rush...
Watch it! These Cornerbackites'll have a conniption fit over a statement like that.
I on the other hand wholeheartedly agree.

To answer the question relative to the Colts secondaries of the past, yep!
And I'll echo the other remarks about health; it is a concern. I'm excited though.
We've finally got NTs that will command the double team which in turn should translate to more pressure from our OLBs & DEs. This will really look good with CBs who can win the merge and keep opposing WRs from getting any real separation 5-10 yards out.
THE QUESTION is can our Line & Linebackers keep the ball in front of them and limit the need for our secondary to play a major roll in tackling RBs & TEs.
If they can, then the secondary's exposure to injury will be reduced.
We'll see.

Good news. But let's get the signature.

Ok, let's see: 2 reconstruction surgeries on the same knee, 2 surgeries for torn labrum repairs on both hips, hernia surgery.
I am rooting for Ben like crazy but seriously his chances are very, very slim. I hope our collective prayers help him make it.
Hopefully the workouts helped build his core & legs. A lot easier to get hurt if your range of motion and ability exert force doesn't keep pace with weight training. We'll see.

...a message is going to be sent that Pagano has no control over his team...
Oh relax.
-
LOLOL at all "send a clear message" nonsense. I don't see ANY reason to cut him. Let him come to training camp & battle. Let the court system (as corrupt as D.C.s is) work and let Goodell determine what if any punishment is due. I think he risks the Plexiglass Burress treatment.

I live near DC and travel that area quite a bit. Gun carrying folks are always risking arrest when traveling thru DC and Maryland due to their unconstitutional laws.
I carry and know that if i am caught I will be in deep % but the constitution is the law I live by. I may have even become paniced enough to run from the police.
I bet its all a bunch of * unconstitutional charges. Unregistered gun, ammo? There is no reason to register a gun or ammo.
I bet the guy who ran was carrying and knew how Police would do him if caught.
They should of stopped when lit up and refused to give up any weapons.
Good Luck guys...........get a good lawyer or they will throw the book at you.
Great post.

the gun possession wouldn't mean a thing in indiana. all you need is a carry permit
And doesn't mean squat when he crosses a line on a map into VA where we can walk around openly carrying weapons. All this gun stuff is nonsense. Now, running from the cops (probably neccesitated by the laughable gun "laws" in DC) that to me is the serious issue. But even then probably a 1st offense pled out to community service.

"the ONLY time you should be running around with gunsssssss...as in plural....is if you are a police officer....or you are going hunting.
LOLOL

LOL u nancies need to calm down. So he had an evil gun. Big whoop. Let's get all of the details before we go Patriots* on him. ;/

No, I know you didn't. I'm saying that if the offer is good enough, virtually anyone can be traded to any other team.
Captain obvious saves the thread.
-
Everything you say is true, particularly with regard to the structure the Colts have in place, which should be beneficial for Fleener. But virtually everyone has a price. Fleener isn't untouchable, and an extra first rounder is a valuable commodity, even if it means helping a conference rival.
Personally, I wouldn't do this trade. I might have done this in April for a first rounder in the 2013 draft, but not for a pick in next year's draft. We'd be weakening our roster now for a payoff next year. Teams usually only do that if there are major money considerations or character issues, neither of which is at play with Fleener.
Then there's the fact, as many have mentioned, that the Patriots wouldn't give up a first rounder for Coby Fleener, even if they are desperate for tight ends. I should also mention that the Patriots aren't desperate for tight ends. They have Tom Brady and Bill Belichick; they'll be fine.
I'm not sure what you're driving at here. I certainly did not say or imply anyone is untouchable. I thought I was quite clear in writing that the Colts aren't trading any of their Tight Ends to a rival....especially a Franchise rival. And if they were to do something that stupid, Fleener would be the last one they'd trade. What the Patriots* would or would not do vis-a-vis draft picks isn't something I cared to address.
Now regarding the Patriots* desperation in needing TEs, any sane observer would conclude that if both Hernandez AND Gronkowski were unavailable...then they would indeed be desperate for a good player to take up the slack. Whether that player is currently on their roster or not is the issue for them. Regardless, I am nowhere near as enamored with Tom Brady (system QB) or Bill Belichick** (Cheater) as some would appear to be. If they go into the season without Hernandez and Gronkowski, they're very vulnerable.
-
Would colts consider trading fleener for new Englands first round next year. Just food for thought. May be a good replacement for Hernandez. I am a believer in fleeners potential.
I guess I don't understand the reasoning here...
The Colts draft Luck & Fleener one & two....then bring in their College Offensive Coordinator...then trade Fleener.
Hmmmmm doesn't really make simple sense.
Firstly, the Colts aren't trading any of their Tight Ends to a Division rival....especially a Franchise rival...secondly, if they were to do something that stupid, Fleener would be the last one they'd trade.
Seems like a poorly thought out brain fart that unfortunately made it's way to the boards.

WOE! I missed this pickup from late last season. Hope to hear good things come Training Camp.

- Justin Anderson makes the roster over Mike Mcglynn. Justin did look good at mini-camp.
I dunno. McGlynn has the added safety of being able to play multiple positions. It may well save him.

No he's not.
