i think it was just the coaches talking and weigh ins today for the TEs and OL because thats all I can find from today.
I think he was wanting info regarding what players the Colts met/meet with. Not who is participating in the combine.

Don't know how many people actually watched/listened to the presser with Grigson, but I didn't get the impression that they're leaning toward keeping him. His last words on that topic were "it's for the organization to know, and for you all to find out when the time comes."
I hope it's not wishful thinking on my part, but I didn't think he was suggesting that Satele is going to be on the team. ::fingers crossed::

There's NO WAY I'd trade up for a defensively player. This is a deep draft. BUT considering our biggest needs plural are on Oline, I wouldn't object to making moves if we could land a gem there.

Vontae is getting resigned so that's a non-issue. We don't NEED Byrd. But we really could use Mack.
So if we just did what you describe, I'd be disappointed. I'd like to see more mid-tier role players like last year.

With an aggressive GM, Pagano's inspiration and Chud here I absolutely can't see Mack leaving without a contract.
Plus he will be lining himself up with a roster that suites him.

DON'T underestimate the impact that the hiring of a minority GM who is spoken well of when it comes to assuaging any concerns Mack may have regarding the turnover(s) in Cleveland.

I think the cap is based on the top 51 salaries. Doubtful if theirs amounted to enough to make a difference.

"Pete Thamel and Thayer Evans of SI.com spoke to eight NFL executives and coaches, none willing to put his or her name to their opinion of a man revealing part of his identity, on Sunday to find out how Sam’s choice to take that on will affect his position in the draft.
Because Sam had come out to his teammates already, one person Thamel and Evans spoke to said that 90 percent of teams already knew and had dropped Sam on their draft boards as a result. Others said that the NFL would be ready for an openly gay player “in the coming decade or two” and that being openly gay would “break a tie” with another player going before Sam. An NFL assistant said Sam’s move was not a smart one.
“You shouldn’t have to live your life in secrecy,” the assistant coach said, “but do you really want to be the top of the conversation for everything without ever having played a down in this league?”

Yeah, I would be FURIOUS if that ended up being our draft.
Considering Grigson hasn't disappointed me yet, I doubt that'll be how ours plays out.
