    Well here's the PFF's mock:

    https://www.pff.com/news/draft-pff-2020-nfl-mock-draft-dolphins-trade-tua-tagovailoa

Colts trade down with the Cowboys from 13 to 17 and select....

And then the Colts go QB with the WAS pick in the second round:

Then the Colts go WR with their own second round pick:

So what say you, Colts nation?

I would be disappointed with those picks.

I appreciate you putting that together, but that’s a basic breakdown of the QB’s. It doesn’t breakdown anything in justifying where or where not to select a QB.

Meaning for example, T. Brady was a 6th Rd pick, when the Patriots had a top QB in D. Bledsoe, so is this comparable to the situation the Colts are currently in with Brissett? Absolutely, not!

Does drafting a QB in Rd 1 equate to SB titles? Absolutely, not!

It just seems like you’re trying to argue not drafting a QB at 13 with the Colts. Fair enough!  Nothing personal, and I appreciate you putting that together.

However, I view the Colts QB situation as a “critical need” and hoping to get a R. Wilson in the 3rd or T. Brady in the 6th is far more risky than trying to draft an above average or potentially elite QB in round #1.

    Agree with this post.

  3. The Colts need to stay the course. Play the starters against the Chiefs because we will gain team chemistry, and young players will gain experience.

Brisett looks like a good QB to me as a starter. Cain and Campbell are rookies.

Our 2 starting receivers were out this game.  Once we get to 8 games we will know the level of talent we have.  If we go 10-6 again and win the division then anything can happen in the playoffs.

I hate to be so blunt, but there's no way we'll ever only use one TE in a game.

We are both speculating. I don’t think you know what what they will do for a certainty. In many situations it would be logical to use a wealth of talent at WR especially when one is as large as a TE.

We use at least 3 TE's in a game with Reich. And I think you've gotta have a backup in case one goes down. I also think we keep 4.

I could see Hentges at times being used like we did Hewitt.

There will be times 1 TE would be used. We’ll see.

I hate doing this but the Colts need to take a serious look into those soft tissue injuries and the recovery from them. Luck, Campbell, AC last year(I would bet there are a lot more that I just cannot remember right now). This continues happening. Players try to return after injury only to suffer setbacks and make things worse.

I heard some injury expert say we are bottom third in the league in injuries 10 years running. Every single year! This is coming to the point where it cannot be just dumb luck. Is it trainers/medical staff... is it the artificial turf at Lucas Oil Stadium? Is it the coaching? Is is the nutrition/food? Whatever it is, they need to figure it out. This can't keep happening again and again and again and again... I realize that this is contact sport and physical sport and some injuries are expected but the level and consistency of it happening to Colts players is very much out of the ordinary.

I said a few years ago that it might be the turf. It looks good and allows a person to play faster but it doesn’t absorb falls very well.

Three days is not a lot of time for recovery if the injury is more serious...

Agreed. I’m beginning to feel like this is a situation like Kevin Derrant. Maybe Andrew should have had surgery during the spring.

I loved the post draft interview into the inner workings of the draft thought process & where we are as a unit right now, as a fan it should be standard viewing, to see the mind set of our GM & head coach. I love the process that they talk about balancing Character/ Athletic ability.

Also after establishing, a locker room culture, Taking a  chance on talent down the road on more high profile FA's.  This is why I am so glad to be a Colt fan from the late 50's. Do I like winning? yes, but I think in this football world as a business, it's nice to see integrity is not completely gone.

Anyway that's my two cent's worth, Anybody have any thoughts on the interview?

Good to know that some of us old timers are still around. I’ve been a Colts fan since 1958. They’ve been my favorite team since I became a football fan.

  9. Blood Clots is a serious condition especially in the lungs. In the NBA Chris Bosh was forced to retire. Brandon Ingram’s season was cut short with a clot under his arm. Had the clot been in Ingram’s lungs he possibly would have had to retire. It is understandable why NE let him go - this can be a life-threatening illness. Here’s praying that he is healthy enough to compete and not taking adverse risks.

  10. Maybe we blame Glowinski too much. Our power running game requires pulling guards, tackles and tightends. When you pull you sometimes leave people unblocked on the backside. As good as Reich had been all season he failed to compensate for KCs pursuit speed from the back side. He was out coached this game but will learn from it. We won’t throw Glowinski under the bus but will scheme better next time. KC exposed our scheme to all the rest of the league and we have to fix it.
