  1. I don't want to wrangle Jackson in too much...the man plays with an 'edge.'  He will hit you and laugh back to the huddle.  I look forward to seeing all 260 pounds of him behind Chapman at the goal line....

Can you say 'bad to the bone?  :spit:

Yes from the article just read that Kevin wrote ,IMO Jackson will be here for years to come if things work out and injuries [ catastrophic ] avoided .

  2. I usually agree with my buddy Lolly, but Gordy is not even close to Toler's skill set when healthy.  Yes health is a concern, but we were talking how bad Vaughn and Gordy were long ago.

Gordy is a backup and not gonna be a starter in the NFL barring serious injury.  As I said above, Gordy is often found out of position on special teams as well.  While he HAS improved, he is not a skillful corner.  My opinion I know... :)

Agree with you Brother ,not to be ganging up on our buddy Lolly lol ,but IMO when Toler is completely healthy he is a very skilled CB.Our D was strong back there with him healthy Davis Bethea and Howell. If anyone wants to disagree that's fine ,but before they do they need to look at game tapes and realize who we beat in that stretch. If they are open minded enough to do this ,I don't think we will have very many disagree.

  3. Does anybody believe there is a safety good enough to potentially trade a couple of next years picks to move up for him? We obviously need a safety, someone who can walk on and win the starting job and be effective would be nice as well, (Howell is a solid backup). I would say Clinton-Dix, i was watching tape on him, this kid looks like the real deal, but i believe he goes top 15 which is a bit of a stretch for us. I was just thinking i would hate to miss a stud safety in the 1st because we dont have a pick......thoughts?

Howell is 3 times better than Landry in coverage lol.

  4. No disrespect to Vontae Im glad he's a Colt. And by far one of my favorites.

But the reason why he's not mentioned with Sherman and Haden is because he's NOWHERE CLOSE to the player on the field these guys are.

Unfair statement = Not same supporting cast in secondary.

  5. Bradshaw, Sidbury, etc.....I am sure I am missing some players, all brought in to win now.....but couldn't even play.  I realize it is the NFL and anything can happen, but Toler, Bradshaw, Landry I know for a fact had some serious injury concerns before we OVER paid for them.

    Lol over paid Bradshaw ?

  6. Ha Ha!  I have been all over him since he got here.  I saw him turn and face the ball once in the entire time he was here one on one.

I liked him better than David Reed...not bringing it out of the end-zone... :)

Lol with you brother he was awful except the one week mentioned above lol,1 week of 16 don't cut it for me.Im glad hes gone. Sure he will be a game buster in Detroit . :funny: With you on Reed as well.

  7. You guys must have slept when the defense was shutting teams down.

The unit was solid as a whole when he was down...in total disarray with him out.  See Davis and Landry's continued problems with the long ball.

Without question the Colts were a better team with a healthy Toler.

No doubt about it its when they beat SF  Denver Seattle ,in large part do to the secondary ,letting Defense as a whole function more fluently, was really looking promising till injuries mounted. Also don't forget at this point in time it was Howell at safety not Landry.

  8. On the front of the website today,  there's another positional story....

This one is about..........................  the defensive line.

The lineman who is featured?        Chapman.

And Kevin Bowen referred to him in the story as.................................  350!

I don't know if that's the truth or a typo,   but I wasn't happy to read that.

That's where he was at end of year ,well over weight.

  9. The NFL's Top 100 List just reminds me that Sept. is still a long way off & player ranking shows lose my attention very quickly. Most of my predictions are wrong anyway so I try to avoid this exercise completely. It's a popularity contest just like the ProBowl.

LIKE !!!!!  Lol out of those dreaded things ,but im with you Brother they mean absolutely nothing ,its just someone elses opinion.

  10.  .

A thinner Josh Chapin. Let me contemplate that for a moment. Less big MAC in our road grader...Probably a good idea less weight on his knees, legs, & ankles. Just as long as he is still an immovable force who won't lose any leverage on the line. Collapse that QB pocket like a popped balloon Mr. Chapman.

Brother even at 325 ,hes a road grader ,lets not forget I think hes 6ft 1".IMO it will make him quicker off the ball ,and as you said save stress on the knees. Just maybe bullrush to qb.
