  1. I thought having 8 teeth removed like I did this morning, but to my surprised that honestly wasn't as painful as this.

But I'm gonna turn serious here. Being 0-6 is not comparable to some of the things me and my family have gone through. I love the Colts, but I can name off a dozen things worse than that. Most notably just recently losing my Grandmother...much worse than 0-6.

Sorry to hear about your teeth. That had to have been very painful.

But, I am even more sorry to read about the recent loss of your grandmother.

I am sending hugs to you.

  2. Yes, I understand I could do that, but we shouldnt have to set our time up "incorrectly" in order for the board to display properly....

I apologize for misunderstanding your previous comment.

I have relayed your question to those who have far more knowledge of this platform than I do.

Currently, there is no way the administrators can change the time settings; but the IP has been asked if there is a way this can be done.

  3. King Colt's comment about David Carr reminded me of a song that was played on ESPN radio at the time. I don't remember it completely or probably even accurately; but since I have always had a crush  on David Carr, the song still somewhat lingers in my head.

It was set to the tune of the Christmas song, "Do You Hear What I Hear" and Jay Cutler's name could just as easily be inserted. One of the verses was something like:

Said David Carr to the offensive line,

Do you see what I see?

Do you see what I see?

A blitz, a blitz, coming from the right

Soon, I will be out of sight,

Soon, I will be out of sight.

There was another verse that went something like:

The stars, the stars, are dancing in my head.

The O-line has left me for dead.

The O-line has left me for dead.

  4. Copied from the same site as in the previous link provided:

Please note that all “View from the Seats” photos are taken from only one seat and vantage point in each section. Please be aware that a small amount of seats do have limited and/or obstructed views. (These seats are very limited and can only be found in the corner sections of the stadium.) These tickets may only be purchased at the Lucas Oil Stadium Ticket Office – but please be aware when buying tickets from 3rd party vendors that this may be a possibility. Lucas Oil Stadium is not responsible for tickets and/or seats purchased from said vendors

If am reading this correctly, tickets for seats with limited and/or obstructed views can only be purchased at the LOS ticket office and those purchasing these tickets would know what they were buying.

However, if these tickets are purchased from a 3rd party vendor; it sounds like a case of caveat emptor.

  5. i probably will, right as i was figuring out the old format, they changed it on me! ahah but i probably will when i get home tomorrow. I would delete it, but cant figure out how to??

I would also like to say welcome

And, to ask you, what did you want deleted?

  6. If I didn't continue to wear my Colt's stuff, my wardrobe would be pretty limited except for my IU stuff. Which, by the way, I still continue to wear even though it hasn't been much fun being an IU fan the past few years. :(

Wearing the apparel of a team for which I cheer, is not just about the present for me. It is about honoring the past and looking forward to the future.

  7. As has been stated earlier in this thread, all members have a right to post as long as they do so within forum rules.

If you see a thread/post that you don't agree with, you can either ignore it or respond in a civil manner.

As I see no further purpose to this thread other than members squabbling with one another over what should/shouldn't be posted, this thread is closed.

  8. I'm not quite sure what you are saying. Are you implying that threads criticizing Caldwell are being buried by the mods?

If so, that is not the case. As new threads are added, they appear before the older threads unless a member responds in one of the older threads.

Or, are you saying that you are having trouble reading/posting in a thread regarding Caldwell? If so, let me know and I will see if I can find out what the problem is.

  9. Good luck in the game this Monday but you guys aren't worse than the Chiefs, come on now!

Here's to an injury free game......feel free to come check out the new Bucs forums.

    GO BUCS!

Sorry, I had to edit your post as links to other forums are "frowned upon in this establishment". :(

Sadly, it often just leads to board wars.

I do realize that wasn't your intent and want to say, "Welcome" :hello:

I'm glad you have decided to join us and I also hope for an injury free game.

    GO COLTS!

  10. nor is the any more or less valid than the MVP award . . . this is my my point . . . we "accept" the MVP Award as having some sort of merit, like winning a championship ON the field of play, or games in the regular season, or some given statisitic that happens on the field and not by some hand selected voters . . .

the issue is not one of statistics but one of perspective and consistency . . . we accept the MVP award even tho its is voted on by a cherry picked few voters . . . I am not sure how many sports writers/talk show hosts/TV are AP members, but here in Boston alone there are least 20, which does not include the Cape, cities of Lowell, Worcester, Springfield, Pittsfield, Brockton and the other cities in Massachusetts and not to mentions the surrounding states . . . the AP has 1700 newpapers and over 5000 TV and radios stations, all of which have their sports writers . . .

so yes your statistics point are interesting but we want to be consistent . . . the pool in the instant case is 272/1696 or about 16% of its members, so there are the associated margin of errors as you indicated . . . to have the same margins of error or less one would have to have less than 312 sports members of the AP, that is 50/312=16% . . . there is probably more than 312 AP members in NY & Newe England along . . . ;and as such, the hand selected pool of the MVP voters is a much lower perchange of the over all population as the hand selected voters of the instant article . . .

so the botton line in all of this, if we accept a determination by a body in which it has x% of his members deciding, we should not then later dish a determination by a body which has a higher percentage of his members voting . . . :eyebrow:, well at least not dish the later body's decision based on the reason "its only asking a x% of its members"

I do understand your point. However, we know who those 50 AP members are. When the MVP receives an overwhelming or unanimous vote, I do accept it.

In 2003, I did not accept it. That year Peyton Manning and Steve McNair shared the MVP. There was a Titan's writer who voted for McNair. If there had been a Colt's writer who had been among that 50, he/she may very well have voted for Manning thereby giving him the majority of the votes.

If I knew who those 272 players were, I may or may not give this poll more credence. Should it be the case that the votes were somewhat evenly distributed among the players of all 32 teams; then I would. But, if I found out that those votes were largely cast by players from a small handfull of teams, then I wouldn't.

Foam cheeseheads are a perfectly acceptable fashion accessory for Green Bay Packers fans, just not for the Grim Reaper -- especially if the angel of death is disparaging cheese in Wisconsin.

The company that makes the distinctive yellow wedges wasn't pleased when it heard that a physicians' group planned to use the headwear in an anti-cheese billboard this week near Lambeau Field, home to the Super Bowl champions. After all, Wisconsin is the nation's leading cheese producer.

  12. More importantly, who is the dreamy woman in your avatar? She's drinking coffee too. I think I'm in love. :td:

I do like you, GoPats! A great attempt to derail this thread.

I have no idea who that woman is. I was searching google images one night for a new hairstyle, found that pic, and knew I had to make it my avatar.

I liked it that the woman looked somewhat carefree and was drinking coffee (or tea, my preference).

But, what attracted me to the photo was how her long flowing tresses turned into horses (or, in my eyes :coltslogo: ).
