No judgements here folks because imitation is the highest form of flattery & recognition right? Quality is quality. Feel free to add at your leisure of course. All genres welcome naturally...

Johnny Cash just loved Tom Petty because he could play an era flawlessly on guitar. When the Man In Black went out on stage with just a guitar & mike to re-invent himself in the 90's, I know Petty was a huge security blanket to Cash because he knew that the music of his era wasn't dead. It flowed thru guys like Petty, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, & George Harrison etc.

      Cash revered Petty man.

I always welcome your musical contributions brother @TheRustonRifle#7 :hat:

Is there anything Tom Petty couldn't do? Nope. Definitely, an old soul that's for sure.

Hey RR7, M432, BOTT, Lolly8, & any other metal heads out there,

Checkout this amateur version of WASP's cover of "Wild Child"...It's really good.

The band is called Mind Maze. This performance blew me away. Great vocals, solid guitar solos, & decent percussion playing. Takes me back.

Here's a more subdued version from Sweden of the same track slower & more acoustic based, but well done nevertheless IMO.

The band is called Heaven Tonight BTW. I liked it.

I love this Winston Churchill introduction to Iron Maiden's "Aces High"....

Congratulations to actor Gary Oldman for winning an Oscar for his portrayal of the British Prime Minister too. Looks like a great film that I will definitely review eventually.

This Rob Lindgren cover is very good. I could do without the women in it, but vocally it's top tier with cool black & white vintage footage included.

  16. Going to have to cut down on internet and late night time online until around mid to late summer, wanted to let people here know. My schedule is changing lately and I have to get up earlier most days. My wedding is mid May and I have a new house with my future husband, so I am slowly moving out of my current place too. He always lived around 45 minutes from me and we found a new home halfway between where we currently have lived. And we are still looking at a few places for a honeymoon. And I am working out a lot too and stuff to look good for the wedding haha.

Just a ton to do, so sports is going to have to take a back seat momentarily. But I will still be watching sports at times in the background and occasionally logging in to check on Colts news in terms of Luck etc and how things are progressing here. So I might talk once in a while.

Just wanted to let people know, I am more than OK and not ignoring anyone but my internet activity is going to be slowed a lot for some months here.

I am having a blast. Just very very busy and it should clear up mid to late summer. I can't wait until training camp starts and we can get a new season underway!!!! I will definitely be active again eventually.

I can't wait until the wedding but the big load is moving to be honest. haha That is the most work right now.

I know I posted this before, but this is hands down my favorite STP song. I never get tired of listening to it or playing percussion on it. Time to hit the Interstate & spread some love baby.

      "...Leaving on a Southern train
      Only yesterday you lied
Promises of what I seemed to be...Breathing is the hardest thing to do...

      You li hi ed."

This song is so infectious. You hear it once & never forget it.

haha I appreciate that @TheRustonRifle#7. Music is kind of my thang as you are already well aware. I do admire your diverse tastes across many different eras & genres.

Sorry I haven't written you yet. I'm horrible at getting back to people. I still need to reply back to @lollygagger8 too. I'll get around too it eventually. Thank you both for your patience.

Don't ask me why put every time I hear this song, I always picture friends getting hammered responsibly of course with their favorite alcoholic beverage on a breezy summer day....

It's called "Shanty" by Johnathan Edwards. The harmonic player is fantastic.

David Coverdale at his absolute best...Such power & range in this number....

I remember when I first heard track in 88. OMG! It blew me away. Everyone focuses on 'Here I Go Again,' but this song made this album legendary & took WS into another stratosphere. My music teacher in high school even raved about how impressive his vocals were & that very few bands would even attempt releasing a single this elaborate & sophisticated.
