  1. I just felt like compiling a list of solid covers just as good as the original itself or slightly surpassing it. No judgements here folks because imitation is the highest form of flattery & recognition right? Quality is quality. Feel free to add at your leisure of course. All genres welcome naturally...

Even Prince is like Chris "Nothing Compares 2U," you sing this one better than me man.

I need to hear this song right now.

Give me some Hawaiian mojo baby. This movie is so darn funny!

I gotta review it soon. The main character's gigantic cereal bowl for his Fruit Loops always cracks me up.

Time to slow things down with Tracy Chapman & "Fast Car". A soothing song...

Singer Mary Spender does this number justice...Not rating one above another. Admire both of them.

      Beautiful job.

I actually like both the original & cover of "Long Cool Woman" by The Hollies & Vince Neil equally.

I saw Neil on TV recently. Sammy Hagar dropped by Vince's Nashville pad for a jam session.

He's getting quite a belly on him now. Motley Crue frontman not the Red Rocker BTW.

Lynyrd Skynyrd in black & white handling a "Saturday Night Special". The historian in me likes vintage stuff like this...76 to be exact. The yr I mean.

Is there any cover Tesla can't make their own? Nope.

Lead singer Jeff Keith can make any cover sound better than the original. It's a gift...

With Summer just around the corner, how come I never got to go to these types of camps in my youth?

Or say this one in The "Windy City" with Buddy Guy & Nancy Wilson?

Sweet & no mosquitos, bullies, or activities that don't trip your trigger. Just think, a person could meet Dave & Nancy over 2 session camps. Both Mustaine & Wilson are legends in their respective fields of metal & classic rock. Looks like a blast if you ask me...

Whoa man, my mind just got blown. I'm sober BTW. Some band in 83 named i-Ten released "Alone" 1st.

I'm kinda of disappointed that Ann & Nancy Wilson of Heart didn't write that song now. Still love Heart though...

You lost after the Atomic Kittens showed up. This version of "The Tide Is High" is definitely a  for sure.

I am so glad Blondie gave this number a cool, jazz vibe. My dad even liked this track when it was released too...

I defy anybody not to start singing along to this song before it ends. It's impossible baby...Still holds up.

I'm gonna be honest with ya. I had no idea a band called Talk Talk put out "It's My Life" first.

Not really into light pop actually.

Love this Gwen Stefani track. No Doubt this upgrade surpasses the original.

I'd pardon her in a second. Gwen has a great voice & is very easy on the eyes. She's legit too. Nice pipes.

Kind of a mosaic of guitar covers if Eddie from VH joined various bands.

My favorite is Megadeth's "Tornado Of Souls" on a sweet lavender guitar.

It made me laugh the hypothetic scenario of band swaps I mean.

The fret master & finger man known as Eddie strikes again...Seriously, Andres Nunez can play man.

It makes classic tracks sound so different with a different string man at the helm.

EVH excels at rhythm guitar. He truly does. I just smirk every time I watch this clip.

Since my buddy Lollygagger8 has a soft spot for Thin Lizzy, an encore track seems to be in order...

The original Irish bandit & rebel himself...

James Hetfield & Co. making this signature track their own. No endorsement deal really? I'm surprised.

Keep it dark man. I don't wanna be "Blinded By The Light" baby. I'm not a huge fan of 'The Boss' AKA Bruce Springsteen. But, this New Jersey native composed the original number here...

Manfred Mann makes us forget that some Bruce fella did this tune first. Thank God. Love this track!
