  1. I respect your opinion, but I don't agree. I think our difference is in what is news and what is just information. When you're constantly citing sources and it turns out to be dead wrong, you were just repeating information. Like Ballard said, none of the "Levis to the Colts" came from him or inside the building. People like Bowen and Chappell confirmed that. Yet, people in the national media kept reporting it - as information. Did their credibility suffer? No, because no one really cares if they were wrong. They never go back and tell us where their "sources" came from, or tell us if they continue to trust them. Most of what we hear or read is opinion, not news.
  2. Hey everyone, I just wanted to let you all know that my favorite team is the Colts. I value them above every other franchise in sports. But I'm going to a Tampa Bay game this season. (Just wanted to confess to being a liar. Is there a program for people like me?)
  3. AR is on record saying his footwork needs improvement. He did make some really bad looking throws in college. Some were layups. But he also made some Stroud like throws, showing he has all of those physical features. He also seems to process very quickly. He was forced out of the pocket so many times, and created plays, running as a final resort. I'm psyched.
  4. If you changed his wording from "job" to "priority", wouldn't you say he's spot on?
  5. Since you're interested in the truth, here are facts. (I'm not saying AR is Josh Allen, I'm just providing data. So don't say I'm a liar, lol!) Josh Allen 2 years in college - 56% Pros comp percentage by year: 52 58 69 63 63 Apparently they managed to improve his accuracy.
  6. Here's what I'm hoping for when he gets in a real game. The D will load the box because they know (think) that either he or JT is going to run. They'll be in man since they think that play can't go long. Then he pulls the ball back from JT, looks at our new slot WR zipping down the field, and fires it 40 yards in the air. Okay, I'll wake up now.
  7. You are correct. I tried to ask him several times why he thinks SS lied, but apparently he's convicted in his belief. BTW, 'm purposely using the word "convicted" incorrectly. I had to laugh every time Ballard said it when he meant he had conviction.
  8. Again, I'm seriously asking why you say he lied? You argument can't just be "he lied". Are you saying he lied about what he values in a QB? If someone asked me to name my favorite car and I say Corvette. Then I buy a Honda. Am I a liar? Seriously dude, you have to give up that argument. Or at least clearly define it.
  9. I agree with that to more than somewhat. I think even the 'credible' media will put out stories and rumors based on one source who may not even have access to the subject. You all heard what Ballard said about how they tried to tear down some players (I assume he was talking about Stroud). This is not just in sports media. The so called news channels are all more interested in rating than presenting the news. They all (Fox, CNN, major networks) pander to their audience.
  10. Did you look at Josh Allen's completion percentage from college? Look, no one knows how he's going to do in the pros yet. But you seem to be cherry picking items to put him down. Whatever. I'm rooting for him.
  11. I'm sorry, but why is that a lie? I'm seriously asking. If you asked him today, he'd probably say the same thing. You can say they chose a QB that doesn't absolutely meet all his criteria. But you can't say he's a liar because they didn't pick one who didn't.
  12. Not sure what they’re waiting on with Foles? You’d think they’d release him to give him a chance to hook up elsewhere. Unless he plans on retiring.
  13. I’m sure this has already been said in the hundreds of posts already. But it should be emphasized. AR is NOT a run first QB. If you watch his tape, he runs as a last resort. But he has great awareness and escape ability. Once Shane works with him and sees what throws he’s the most comfortable making, it’s going to be tough to stop him. Need a good, quick TY-like WR now.
  14. We have to have faith in the coaching staff, GM, and owner to not rush him in just to appease the fans. Im guessing they ease him in. A few packages to start out, see how he handles them, then increase his playbook.
  15. I think it was Kevin Bowen who said it best (or Mike Chappel, not sure) - you could talk yourself into any of the top 5 QBs. All have at least one concern - size, age, accuracy, processing, etc. I'm pretty sure I'm on board with whoever we get. I think my order of preference is Young, Stroud, AR, Levis, Hooker. For what it's worth.
  16. There are probably 20 QBs in the last 22 years that could have the same thing said about them, lol!
  17. I'd take CJ over AR but would be happy with either. And if it's Levis, I'm good. I think Young is the best QB but I also don't think he can last. Eventually a few 300lb guys are going to fall on him one too many times. 2018 QBs drafted in the first round: 1. Baker 3. Darnold (remember how many people here wanted him?) 7. Josh Allen - the AR of that class? 10. Josh Rosen - ??? 32. Lamar - MVP, but he's kind of proving that his style of play may not be viable in the NFL. Can't say Crap Shoot more than that does.
  18. BTW, the number of entries to do that would be over 355 trillion. So start soon!
  19. You know, there's a finite number of schedules possible. Someone with a lot of time could create an email address for every entry and be guaranteed to have a winner. Not me...but someone...
  20. Wow, I can hardly keep up with all of these Colts FA signings! Do you think Ballard is sitting back laughing or just took the day off?
  21. Geez, I already have to wake up Green Day on September 30th. Now you too?
  22. That’s a lot of work, and a lot to study. Good post. Hope you remember to bump it when the season ends.
  23. I didn't like the shirt Ballard wore on the Saturday of the draft. (There weren't many Ballard complaints lately. I'd hate to see this thread die out.)
  24. Definitely missed the boat at TE. I don't think there are any FA's besides Gronk who could help the team. I was hoping for OJ Howard, who was signed pretty cheaply. Tons of potential. I can't see Ballard bringing in OBJ. MVS would be my choice. Then again, I can't see Ballard signing any FA, lol.
