  1. Questionable decision to throw to a player with only 6 catches all year. Congrats on a good season by you guys. Certainly more sucessful than expected after AR went down. You guys will be in the mix next year for sure.
  2. If i'm your coach, i give the ball to Taylor for the rest of the game. He's your only effective weapon tonite.
  3. I said a while back in some thread discussing Richardson's being out for the year that you could be competitive with Minshew at QB, maybe even moreso than AR because Gardner is an experienced vet. I got slammed by a number of posters saying that i had lost my mind and that AR was ALWAYS the best choice for QB. And yet...here you are at 7-5 and tied for 2nd in the AFCS. Now, i know Minshew has limitations, but hes also got veteran savvy that AR would have had to develop once teams got tape on him. With Lawrence now probably out for 4 to 6 weeks (assuming its really an ankle sprain), this is prime time for you to pounce and take the division. I have no illusions that we can win with Beathard, and that we may lose all the remaining games decisively, except for Carolina. I think Houston stumbles down the stretch, leaving the door wide open to winning the AFCS. Just my humble opinion, but i dont think you would accomplish this with AR at QB. He would be making the inevitable rookie mistakes that would turn at least 2 of your wins into losses.
  4. CJ Stroud is obviously the best QB in the division at the moment. And it isn't close. Texans may win the AFC South outright. Levis isn't it. He's one dimensional in an Era that needs QB mobility. Plus the Titans will ruin him.
  5. Throw out all the wins in Duval since 2015. These are two different squads. Colts front 7 is better than the Jags O line, while Colts O line and Jags front 7 are probably a wash. Jags have held down the run pretty well so far, but haven't faced two rbs like Moss and Taylor yet. Jags passing game should be able to exploit the Colts dbs if Lawrence is given time, and assuming he can cure his current case of fumble-its. I see a one score margin that could honestly go either way. And btw...thank you for sending the Titans to last place. It's where they and their fan base should always reside.
  6. Injured twice in 3 games. AR is quickly morphing into RG3. He might last 3 season's at this rate if you are lucky. As a Jags fan who is well acquainted with the Shew, this seems like a no brainer. The only reason we didn't keep him is because he didn't want to sit behind Lawrence. Personally, I was sorry to see him go. He is your best chance for consistent success this year, and good insurance for next year and beyond.
  7. Great win for you guys. Dominated time of possession in the 4th, and the D sealed it. Its always good when the Titans are in last place. See you in Duval this Sunday.
  8. You guys can win with the Shew. Had we had any kind of talent to surround him with, we would have. In fact, I think he gives you your best chace to win this year. AR probably has more upside if he can learn to process as a QB, and keep from getting killed as a runner, but if I were your organization, I'd ride Minshew as long as possible. Yea, he's limited a bit with arm strength, but makes up for that with accuracy and good decision making. Plenty of time to develop AR without ruining him.
  9. Jags fan here. As a Gator fan living here in Jacksonville who has seen both Richardson and Minshew live, I believe I can weigh the characteristics of each. Richardson: 1. Raw, but insanely gifted. 2. Inconsistent, and sometimes perplexing decision making. 3. Goes often into 'hero ball' mode, sometimes to his detriment. 4. Didnt read defenses well at UF, but compensated by #3 above. 5. Puzzlingly inaccurate at times. Minshew: 1. Average, accurate arm 2. Above avg football IQ (had a different OC every year here with the Jags) 3. The Stache 4. Veteran leader It really comes down to whether or not the team is in win now, or win later mode. AR is clearly a project who may end up being the next RG3 if he continues to run at the first sign of pressure, or he may end up as the next Lamar Jackson if the impulsiveness and inaccuracy can be coached out of him. I fear someone is going to end up popping him like Cisco did (and who should have been flagged/tossed) and he's going to end up as the 2023 version of 2022 Tua. You guys are good enough to win with Minshew this year, which may end up happening anyway if yesterday's game is any indication. Not saying anything here that hasn't been said before on this and other threads, just my 2 cents. Thanks for reading.
