They may be “just guys” to you, but it would appear for now Brents is Ballard’s CB1.  He used pick 44 to draft Brents, so CB clearly sees a better player than you do.

As others have said, a improved pass rush will help immensely. Also confidence in them as a group to allow them to cover tighter on third down would go a long way to make me feel better about them.

I thought it was Brown, more of a special teamer being torched by Shaheed, playing because of injuries that was the primary reason we gave up big plays.

I think you are right! Kenny was hurt, Baker got benched?  They threw in Brown. Sorry Mr Baker for running your name through the mud. Thanks for calling me out on that Chad.

Most secondaries are in trouble if their top two corners get hurt. Baker played better down the stretch. Jones can back up both boundry corner spots. I think Abraham will show to be good depth behind Kenny Moore. And it's still very early to evaluate what we have and make changes if necessary.  The D line is stacked now so that will help the coverage on the back end. Finally as I said before Blackmon is the veteran on the back end. It's obvious they have some kind of trust in Cross. Ive told most of the forum here more than once you guys are going to find out Daniel Scott can play. Lastly we just drafted a rookie safety from Auburn who has skills.   Stop throwing guys in the trash after one bad year. Especially if they are young and the staff says they can play.

Re watch the Saint's game. Carr picked on Baker all game and completed like 12 of 14 on him. He  looked better in coverage later in the season, but his open field tackling killed us against the Texans. They seem to like him so maybe it's just me., but I was surprised when he was resigned following the season.  Hope the young man takes a big leap forward this year.

I saw a few teams that did this without blurring. I tried to pause and read them, but I had switched to my phone by then, and it was hard to read.

    Maybe it's a fake board?

Teams have been known to do that with their own guys, and then not reveal the real board until draft night. Maybe they're trying to throw people off?

It was rumored that teams would leave fake game plans out in their hotel rooms when they were playing at Foxboro, cause the staff would steal stuff for the Pats.

  5. Hmmmm, back in 1996 the Jets drafted a mega hyped receiver 1st overall Keyshawn Johnson. Pretty good career 13 years over 10,000 yds. 64 TD.  Guess who the Colts drafted at 19 that year? A hint, his son is the guy everybody wants this year.

I think Marv Jr. will be at the least very good. Just pointing out, that sometimes the best in a class, aren't always the most hyped.

  6. Being at Augusta National would be great, meeting Peyton there is great. Did the Swedish Bikini team show up next?

    (Old Milwaukee beer commercial reference)

Sounds like you had a great visit.

There seems to be a couple of players I would like Ballard to take a hard look at.  Bayron Matos and George Smith are the ones I have in mind.  Anyone have any thoughts on the international players?

Not yet, but thanks for listing those names. I will do some research and get back to you.

He was definitely a great Colt. I remember he had that great stretch where his side of the field was a no fly zone.

I also feel bad for his buddy that played corner on the other side of the field at the same time for us. He was definitely a forum whipping boy I remember.

Don't remember his name but he had the really long dreads and was a childhood friend of VD from the DC area.

Also wish comfort for Vontae's family and friends.

Maybe Toler Is who you are thinking of?

I am 34 years old and became a fan of Colts football in the early 2000s. I am active-duty Air Force and have been for 16 years. I am currently stationed at Mountain Home AFB, ID and originally from Depauw, IN.

    Thank you for your service.

Hope you can watch games via streaming. I am guessing the Colts aren't featured that often where you are stationed.

I am glad we got AR, so I am happy. I would've helped the people out as well, but I would've pulled over to the side and stayed in my car and called Triple A for them. I take the interstate to work every night and some people blow by me going at least 100 MPH. I know because I have to go 75 just to keep up with the flow of traffic and have had cars whiz by me like I am standing still. I got hit by drunk driver 3 years ago on interstate (I-465), it totaled my car. The person rear ended me and sent my car flying 2 lanes. Luckily there wasn't much traffic out. It was 10 at night. I never seen it coming. People that do the speed limit get on my nerves as well because that is too slow which can also cause an accident. 70 MPH is a good speed to travel, not 55 or 95 homer simpson car GIF

KInda like the George Carlin bit

Ever notice how any body driving slower than you is a *, and anybody driving faster is a maniac?

You guys actually remember where you were in 1995 for the Colts Steelers AFC title game? The Packers got beat earlier that day 38-27 by the Cowboys. Us Packer fans were heartbroken cause we played Dallas tough.

Two cousins and I were coyote hunting in reclaimed strip mine hills. I made us quit early so I could catch the game.

They fell asleep sometime in the second half, but I woke them up yelling at the TV.

Heartbreaking game, but gave me hope for the future.

  12. I will drink a few beers tailgating before a game, and maybe one during. I am too old to drink like I did in college, and my single days.

The worst drunk I've seen at a game was a Lions fan that puked in a peanut bag, and my buddy handed him a empty cup to finish.

His friends carried him, and the 2 puke containers out, and didn't return for the remainder of the game.
