  1. NFL introduces new QB specific helmet for 2023 season. "A new helmet will be available for players to wear during the 2023 season. The helmet, made by VICIS, was especially created in order to better protect quarterbacks, specifically when their heads hit the ground. The helmets were created following an uptick in league-wide concussions in 2022. The league saw a 22% increase in diagnosed concussions last year (h/t NFLMedia), with quarterbacks accounting for a significant portion of that increase. "
  2. For those who watch the Colts out of market. YouTube released 2023 prices for NFL Sunday Ticket . If you do not subscribe to YouTube TV the price will be $449. If you subscribe before June 6th it is $349.
  3. Ha, fitting this signing was on April 1st. After he signed the big contract seemed he did not take care of himself and was never the same, and was consistently outplayed by Pollard. He signed with the Cowboys division rival and will play them twice. Cowboys are probably not that concerned. 10 Mil. -horrible signing.
  4. McKenzie liked what Steichen had to say. https://www.si.com/nfl/colts/news/isaiah-mckenzie-colts-wide-receiver-interview-bills
  5. Jackson refutes non-agent negotiator claims: The former MVP was quick to respond to Pelissero and resoundingly refuted these reports. “Stop Lying that man never tried to negotiate for me,” Jackson Tweeted. He followed up by posting a video that seemed to confirm that Francis is his business partner on a portable fitness equipment venture.
  6. Belichick also has to replace Hightower and McCourty who both announced their retirements.
  7. Yes, I can see certainly see your point of view, but overall I view it as, in this way, he moves the focus to Steichen to make the #4 pick successful instead of Ballard making a potentially bad decision with all QB's available at the #1 position. I can also see the point of view of not mortgaging the future, but at some point you have to get out of a reload/holding pattern and take the risk to move this franchise forward.
  8. And I will add that not moving from the #4 draft slot provides him cover because he will be taking "the best available QB" instead making a bold move to move up and put it all on the line by selecting the top QB on their draft board.
  9. Excellent Post. I think Ballard's method of team building puts immense pressure on him to be almost perfect in the draft - and he is just not ( (Neither is any other GM). Roseman is a good example of a GM who has made number of mistakes and then was proactive and adapted. Ballard has shown to be a very stubborn GM. Sitting at #4 I thought the Colts would make the bold move of trading to #1 and ensuring they drafted their highest rated QB on their board and roll with it. To date, the team has signed a few good players at good overall value, but is the team actually better - so far. Where is the OL help.
  10. NFL Radio just mentioned that the Colts were considering submitting an offer sheet for Lamar Jackson.
  11. Yeah, I am not suggesting we sign him. I think the Ravens match anyway, unless the guaranteed money is in the Watson stratosphere, and I don't see Ballard doing this. Let's give Steichen a young QB to develop.
  12. I believe the requirement for signing him is two first round picks.
  13. Good article on the Samson Ebukam signing: https://www.si.com/nfl/colts/news/colts-samson-ebukam-nfl-free-agency-bargains
  14. Agree, it should also assist in keeping Taylor healthy and more fresh late in games. Exactly the type of back the team needed.
  15. Would still rather have Moss and the pick. The team needed what he brings between the tackles.
  16. The best was the grimace on the Texans Owner when they converted the 2 point ply to take the lead.
  17. The announcers are surprisingly well prepared for a meaningless final season game. They are usually telling non-relevant filler stories by now.
