Richardson I and this offense will be great. Not worried about that side of the ball. The question will be can Ballard actually build a defense around him.

Maybe but if you’re being dominated the shorter quick throws should be there. Thats wheee he has to be better at giving him an outlet. We get downs back I suspect the intermediate game will be back.

I think yesterday was more of Steichen and the play calling not giving him easy short intermediate throws. I expect that to change. He was fine last year in the limited time

The only complaint about the offense is steichens play calling has to be more balanced. The more balanced the more big pass plays and JT will have more room.

If Mitchell does not slow up on the first one that is an easy TD. Second one he was held.

There is no doubt that this offense will be great. There are no worries with the QB. The bigger question will be can Ballard ever put a good defense around him to make us a contender instead of just being able to compete. I still can’t believe browns dumped him when he had an injury and tried to play through it. That had to be the worse nfl trade in history.

This is why we are not going to be able to just look at his accuracy number and determine how good he was. WR we’re open. I don’t believe the last stat.

he was so much farther along last year too. I was shocked even in his short time last year how good he was for being so green.

A lot of people in this thread said they noticed the linebackers playing off. If that’s true then they really were worried about the passing game. That’s on Ballard for not fixing the secondary. Shame on him. They did ok stopping the explosive padding attack but in that they just gashed the colts on the ground. You can’t play defense if your your players can’t stop the pass and your thst worried about it.

The good thing is they don’t have a QB like stroud with Love bring out.

Some good questions on the radio this morning on the new turf. They played two preseason games on that field and didn’t seem to have issues. Does anyone remember if the roof was open for any of those games? Could the roof being open caused it to be slippery?

Don’t think we will be able to really box score him and be able to tell the impact he has. Despite the accuracy he still had over 100 rating. Steichen needs to call plays better do it’s not boom or bust.
