  1. Our D is truly much better than originally expected. How good, only time will tell.

Pats will get it going. They always do. Brady and Belichick always do. And Gordon will likely be up to speed and balling out by the time we play them. Hopefully the Fins pop them next week, and when they play us they are looking forward to the Cheifs.

How is a 24 yr old with 1 year in the league, who was traded once.... a journeyman, with limited ceiling after 10 career games...... vs. a 28 yr old WR who has played for 3 teams in the last 2 seasons?  also, how does a 28 yr old WR with 89 career Reg. season games played have any untapped "potential"?

I thought he was in the league 2 years, spending the first year on the practice squad. Correct? Played sparingly last year and not a lot of production. That's really not my concern though. At TX in three years, he never had more than 300ish yards in three seasons. Wasn't even a full time starter.

Do you think Floyd has a high ceiling because he played for ND? He has proven over his time in the league that he just isn't very good.

I won't deny I love ND, but I honestly think he could do well given the right place and position coach. He had some very good/productive years with AZ. Heard he had a falling out with one of the coaches after 2014. He still had 800+ yards and 6 TDs while only starting 6 games in 2015. Was traded late 2016 to NE and still had a TD in only one start (out of two games). With Ginn, Smith, and Thomas + several others at NO, I'm not shocked he didn't make it if he showed up out of shape.

    Johnson already knows Riech's system.

If I'm not mistaken Floyd had already been signed and released by NE in the past.

Johnson IMO has a very low ceiling.

NE picked up Floyd late, and he played well, just didn't know enough of the playbook to get a lot of time in the playoffs. BB has been complimentary about him, and rumors are already out there that he may try to grab him again.

He's got a high ceiling, just rumored to have motivational issues.... Pretty sure if anyone can motivate a player, it's BB LOL.... I'd just like for the Colts to try and find a potential nugget, instead of taking a safe, low ceiling journeyman.

  5. Not sure what they expect to get with WR Johnson from Seattle. I would have rather taken a chance on someone like Michael Floyd. I heard he was not in condition at training camp, but I'd sign him to a min and make him room with a S&C coach for a month. Watch BB pick him up again and he becomes a monster for Brady by mid season...

Since they locked the other thread I was right when I said the Raiders would trade Mack.  Most everyone said I was wrong.  I guess not.  We were in the hunt but Ballard failed to get it done.  It looks like he tried but he failed like I thought he would.  This was our chance to fix our ER problem.  Now it's back to wishing and hoping we find the right guy in the draft.  A real missed opportunity.  I would not want to be in his shoes when he has to explain to Irsay how he got away.  For his sake it has to be a boatload of picks.

for two first round draft picks and QB type money contract... no thanks.

  7. The interesting thing is that Luck will sort-of have to rebuild chemistry with this group. TY is cemented as we all know. The others though.... Grant has zero chemistry with Luck. I do think Cain has a great opportunity to build chemistry regardless of Grant's experience. Given Grant is new to Indy/Luck, and only on a one year deal, you have to think Colt's management would love to see Cain emerge as well. It will be interesting.

Chubb is a blue chip prospect. When you have the chance to draft him with the 3rd pick you don’t take chances by trading back. I highly doubt he’s going to be there at 6.

Don't get me wrong, Chubb is my personal number 1 want.... I don't think he's an A+ beast guaranteed pro bowler, but I would say he's a solid A or A-........ We have so many needs (starter) and lack of depth where we do have a starter. I'd rather have 2 or 3 B+ guys, than one A.

Haha...that might have been the case if he signed Robison and Hyde...but with all the pick he has, I think that is the target.

But I am not convinced he's done wheeling and dealing. He likely has his eye on getting some more picks to address more positions.

I think he'll look at every offer. Buf is intriguing.  It would be temping to pick up a second 1st rounder, but I don't think we can pass on Chubb.
