  1. Don't get hung up on the 3 years.

We can easily get out of deal after 1 year, if that is what they decide to do.

It gives us some flexibility as well. Say we carry 3 QB's, Brissett doesn't play up to expectations, we can let him go and Kelly can have Hoyer as vet presence to lean on.

If you were just going to give a guy a boost like this in pay because we are nice, you better attach a second to third year option friendly to the team so if you throw up on the field, the team can get out and you can take your kindness pay into backup status somewhere else. I couldn’t imagine any competent GM doing this. We aren’t Texans lol.

    Exactly!!

    1. He needs to be paid more money for starting. Can't have your back up making more money.

    2. No reason to lock up longer, as we don't know if he is the answer.

    3. If he balls out and earns it. We can sign him long term then.

No reason to risk future money, but the need to increase his pay this year is needed.

Agreed. Anyone could have wrote that. It was almost a shorter full page ad than his career. For me it does not change my opinion of the man.... Some will be in his corner; I will not. :peek:

I don't have an issue with Andrew. Just looking at the man you could see he is drained. I think the team really wanted him to take his time on the decision as well. That's why announcement came so late.

As far this full page ad. Which was probably the least heartfelt ad I have seen to be honest. Can't back it to much, but knowing his mental state, I guess I can understand his lack of emotion.

    TWO 1st round picks, AND a 2nd

Thats a BUNCH to give up for non-pro bowl LT

Clooney was an above average pass rusher, but played the run

    in an amazing way

    They were fleeced.

Saw this morning that Texans are paying $7m off Clowney's contract too

  5. Really is a dilema.

The interest in Nate Sudfeld is obvious, but he does nothing for us during first 2 weeks of ths year. Which is where the need is at right now.

Kelly, IMO has locked up the backup spot. He has looked the part. Reich's relationship with Uncle Jim helps with the character concerns, as well as him keeping his nose clean.

I think Kelly has really nice potential.

So that leads to what we do:

Let Walker be the back up for 2 weeks.

    Sign/trade for a QB

Personally, I would just let Walker roll as the backup for the first 2 weeks. I don't think anyone we bring in at this point will be able to have much affect on the game 1 or 2.

If Brissett gets hurt, our chances are low. Might as well let Walker give it some run. At least he knows the play book.

Bringing in a young guy, risk taking chances away from Kelly, so I don't like that idea. A vet would probably be the same.

If Brissett goes down, we need to see what Kelly can do.

  6. Irsay, Grigson and Pagano are not to blame. Grigson and Pagano were horrible yes, but most of Andrew's major injuries were self inflicted.

Not getting down against Denver and lacerating his kidney.

    Jacked his shoulder up snowboarding

This injury, not sure of severity, but seems to be done in non football activities.

I get it, everyone wants to blame someone. It just is what it is.

Fun loving guy lost his passion for the game. Really sad to see.

  7. Thanks Andrew,

You gave the city hope after Manning left to continue with the organizational success we had. While healthy you lived up to every bit of the hype.

Unfortunately your playing style allowed you to take more hits than necessary, but was very entertaining and we could see your passion.

It's definitely sad to see you go, but if you don't have the same passion, it's the right move.

The more I think about it, I feel like the team had this play out this late, in hopes you would change your mind. The time had come and a decision was made.

I apologize you had to hear Colts fans boo you as you left the field for the last time. Forgive them as emotions were high and no one knew what was going on.

We appreciate standing up there shortly after and addressing the situation and handling it like a man.

Sucks to see such a fun loving guy just completely drained.

Get well, you will be missed.

Seriously Luck brought a lot of this on himself. He wouldn't throw the ball away or held it to long. He many times refused to slide down instead of taking hits. The rules in the league protect a quarterback almost to a fault. This is mostly on Luck.

This, I'm tired about hearing about the old regime did this. As bad as they were, which was really bad.

Most of Luck's serious injuries were self imposed.

Didn't get down against Denver when he lacerated his kidney. Hurt shoulder snow boarding, and not that I think he has a major injury now, but allegedly was a result of snowboarding.

No doubt about the incompetence of Grigson and Chuck, but this isn't their fault.

Myles has played 5 years now..he is what he is

He is the lead leader in shot blocks, in sub starter minutes, while shooting 38.8% from downtown.

All your points are valid as far as post moves and being over powered in the post, but the guy is exactly what you would want your Center to be in this modern basketball. I agree he needs to rebound better, but when your big guy can shoot like him, he is pretty much out of the picture on the offensive glass most of the time.

I think with a few more minutes and shot opportunities his points will follow. He may never be a 20/10 guy, but 17/9/3.5 works for me(per 36 minute #'s), while shooting around 40% from downtown. Sign me up.

Bottom line is he does exactly what he is ask for with this team, and when healthy was top 3 team in conference. Top 5-6 in the league.

Like I said in my earlier post. Sabonis and Turner's roles are completely different, against different competition most of time(starters/backups), so comparing stats doesn't hold up.

I will agree with the fact that both players are really good and I'm happy to have them. However if it came down to a deal betweeen the 2 I'm keeping Turner.

Sabonis  for Ball straight up, I would be all over.

    Just to reiterate:

Led NBA in shots blocked in 28 minutes a game

Shot 38.8% on 30th FG on 3+ attempts per game

It's nice, find a way to get him more opportunities.
