After a flurry of "rumors" linking Bill Belichick to the Washington Commanders - even before he & the Patriots parted ways - the Commanders released a statement indicating that they would NOT be interviewing BB for their open head coaching position.

As for as the Seahawks - they just bumped their 72 year old coach to the front office as a consultant.  WHY would they consider a DIFFERENT 72 year old coach for their open position?

As a fan of the Miami Dolphins - AND - a friend of Head Coach Don Shula - I've been doing the "happy happy joy joy" dance for the past 24+ hours - knowing that Coach's record & legacy are safe.

As a life long Colt fan of the colts, even when in Baltimore, I despised Shula leaving the colts and then had to face him twice a year.

Though the dolphins won lots of games, it was very enjoyable when they steadily failed in the playoffs after '73.

The colts didn't give much enjoyment in those days, so us colt fans had to find enjoyment wherever we could. :funny:

I don't know about Taylor, but Dodds didn't want AR - he wanted Stroud. It was Marocco Brown who scouted AR and was pounding the table for him.

I also scouted AR5(on YouTube) and wanted him and pounded my table for him with my tackle box on it and it opened and a Rapala plug jumped up and a treble hook went in my hand.

They sure don't make tackle box's like they used too. haha

I am perfectly fine with us drafting AR

It was rumoured Dodds wanted Stroud over anyone else, but Ballard and, especially, Brown wanted AR.

I know you get butthurt whenever anyone mentions Stroud in a positive tone, but I'm not out to get you. I'm fine with us drafting AR.

....but how would the colts have drafted Stroud, regardless if Ballard, Brown, and Dodds all loved him since he wasn't falling to #4 AND the colts weren't moving up to get him?? They were worried to death someone would trade up to #3 and get AR5 and still.wouldn't even move up to #3, one spot, to get their guy.

They were content on getting whoever fell to them and probably expected it would be a choice between Levis and AR5.

  4. I wasn't given the script so I didn't make a prediction.

But I would like the screenshot playing out of Reba singing and the Ravens vs 49ers.

By kinda think that swiftly wouldn't be dating a loser that couldn't get to the Super Bowl.

Either way its make believe anyway so it doesn't really matter. haha

  5. If a team was to move, why would they choose indiana? No insult to anyone in Indiana but aren't there other markets more lucrative to  a NFL team? ......and we know the NFL is all about making the most money they can.

Anyway, I don't know squat about the region so just wondering outloud. Lol

  6. Just my opinion, but i think what went wrong for the eagles was something internal. I don't know what but I don't think it was losing their coordinators(they started 10-1) or personnel or X's & O's. I think there was problems inside and the team lost their will to play and maybe even coach like before.

The team seemed just going through the motions. Just me guessing lol.

Management needs to correctly evaluate what the problem was(if they haven't already) before they can fix it.

Definitely could be wrong but I remember watching videos of Shaq and he was not fit for TV. Not very well spoken and everything is profanity laced. Maybe he has changed through the years bc many people do as they get older.

I remember a player, maybe Aaron Rogers, said that a LB for the cowboys was the best LB in the league AND leonard really didn't like that statement and commented on it. I think the player kinda backtracked to please him.and say something like he's never played against Leonard and the cowboy LB.was the best he's played against.

You’re entitled to whatever view you want, but some of us (most of us?) realize there are no good teams without good ownership.  It starts at the top.  And for the last 25 years the Colts are the 4th winningest franchise.  That’s not an accident.  Irsay hired Polian, Grigson and Ballard.   Great leadership starts at the top.

And fans appreciate all that Irsay has done for the greater Indianapolis community.  Not all owners are as involved as Irsay is.

As a owner, he's tough to beat. And not just NFL, but all sports owners!

I’ll say this caveat though. While the drugs themselves can’t cause respiratory illnesses, they can lower ones immune system thus making the person more vulnerable to such infections.

that said, it’s none of our business and we just need to keep Irsay and his family in our thoughts and prayers.

Being a chronic drug user for decades certainly contributes to declining health and ability to fight off illnesses.

People have no idea what they are talking about so let them have it. SMH. Did anyone watch the Steelers game? They showed him there walking around.

Its too bad he's not dating Kelce or they would have showed him a dozen times..:funny:

The NE Pats are a terrible team in need of much repair. One could say Mayo will need a Miracle Whip to get that team back to winning.

If I were an Executive in the Patriots organization I would have advised "hold (up on) the mayo".

Looking at Houston they just destroyed the Browns. Stroud is having a magical season and his teammates rally around him. They look like they could beat anybody. I miss that feeling we had here years ago decade of magic with hopes of winning it all so many times. Really hope Richardson can be that spark that leads us to a bright future. I sure hope Ballard  does not mess up free agency or the draft. Huge offseason

That magic your talking about may not ignite under ballard. I think AR5 may need a GM more like Polian to better support his talent.

If Nick Harper's homegirl didn't stab him in the leg...

There is a great article about Dick Lebeau dialing in on Manning's "fake tempo offense." They got spanked the first game that year, and preparing for the playoff game, he had them wait until under 10 seconds to show anything. He'd figured out the tempo offense that year. Manning would show it was up-tempo, wait until the defense showed their hand, and then adjust. It worked in the first half, and Manning & co. made adjustments and started making their comeback.

That play was an incredible play, but you could be right on the "what-if?" If Harper hits the sideline and takes the house, it would be one of the all-time greatest defensive plays in the history of the game, given the circumstances.

What if..Aaron Baily hung onto Harbaughs hail Mary.

If that happened the refs would have gone into shock and probably called a very delayed bogus penalty against the colts wiping out the play. haha

Wow, another feel good topic... 😁

Baltimore- Oakland '77 playoffs. 3rd down in over time, Jones misses Chester on a deep route that would have put the Colts in FG range.

    Ahhh, Good times... 😡

That's the play I would have mentioned.

Bert Jones, even  years later says frustratingly how he over threw his TE.
