  1. Hi all, Yes, I will participate again this year. Please put me in the drawing for the Colts as well. If I do not win, then put me down for the Packers. Picks 1/15, 2/46, 3/79, 4/117, 5/152, 5/172
  2. As I was going to St. Ives I met a man with seven wives And every wife had seven sacks Because they all played for the Colts
  3. Colts have scored 2 touchdowns since I took off my jersey. I wonder what would happen if I actually burned it?
  4. So... what's the bet on the Colts defense not allowing another single point the rest of the game, and we still lose?
  5. So when they were listing the Colts inactive players, they neglected to say the entire team.
  6. I moved to St Pete in 2000. Got to watch 2 seasons of poor offense paired with a hall of fame defense. Saw Dungy released, to be replaced by Jon Gruden. What's happening with Jeff Saturday has happened before. You take a good team that had an emotionless coach, and give them an energetic shot in the arm with an emotional coach. Returned to Indy in January 2004. It was -8 degrees when I arrived. Just in time to see the Patriots beat the Colts in the playoffs.
  7. I'm an Indy native, born and bred. The Colts came to Indy when I was in my last year of high school. I went to college just north of South Bend, so I was a Bears fan at the time. I can still name the entire starting 22 of the '85 superbowl team. But I came home after college. I was at the Colts-49'er game, where the officials gave the 49'ers a 5th down, and we stopped them anyway. I remember those wretched '90-'93 teams with Jeff George. I went to Marshall Faulk's first preseason game in '94. I thought he was Walter Payton, but with speed. I remember being a whisker away from going to the superbowl with Jim Harbaugh. I saw Marvin Harrison in rookie training camp, and just fell over. He was amazing. My best friend from college lived in Miami. And he and I went to both Colts/Dolphins games every year. I remember Peyton's rookie season of 28 TD's and 29 INT's (or vice versa). I swore off the Colts when they didn't draft Ricky Williams, and instead drafted this guy called Edgerrin James. But what did I know? I immediately bought his jersey. I then moved to the Tampa area for 3 years. Was there just long enough to watch them win a superbowl title, and buy myself a Mike Alstott jersey. Came home in 2003, just in time to watch the Colts lose to the Patriots year after year after year. Had season tickets in 2005, the best team we ever had. Heartbreak losing to the Steelers. Got to enjoy the superbowl with Tony Dungy. Have been a faithful fan, through thick and thin. Through the bad years when Bill Polian let his son run the team (bad call, that). Through the Andrew Luck years. And all of the Chris Ballard years. Jerseys I own: 32 Edgerrin James, 20 Bob Sanders, 51 Pat Angerer, 56 Quenton Nelson. 14 Bilbo Baggins (for fun).
  8. JT -- 31 attempts for 161 yards; 3,000 yards in 33 games; 2nd fastest in franchise history (Edgerrin James in 30 games)
  9. Utúlie'n aurë! Aiya Eldalië ar Atanatári, utúlie'n aurë! The day has come! Behold, people of the Eldar and Fathers of Men, the day has come!
  10. LOL, sorry for the confusion. I'm saying that Ballard has been approaching these issues with Wisdom. Rather than sitting on his hands not choosing one. Which I called Complacency, but Negligence would be a better word. In other words, Ballard's not going after a quarterback at the expense of all else is a Good Thing. It's Wisdom, not Negligence.
  11. I think what he means by "hasn't tried" is that he hasn't gone all out for one. Hasn't shot the moon for one, even if he missed. Example: 49ers traded three 1st round picks for Trey Lance. Will it pay off? Dunno. But they "tried". So, yeah, by that definition, Ballard hasn't "tried". He hasn't traded a bunch of picks to move up and grab a guy. I think we're confusing complacency with wisdom. Who out there was worth that kind of gamble? And at what price? To cross your fingers that your "guy" is The One, while you don't have anything else on the rest of the team? I'll take wisdom, thanks.
  12. Rick Venturi "Basically" counter: 37 Including three hat trick triplets within 10 seconds each
  13. Thanks for all your hard work. This was a HUGE commitment to arrange it all, field all the PM's for trades, and be present for the entirety of the draft. (There's a reason why I didn't volunteer!)
  14. I don't think this guy's been picked yet. And I don't know why not. Rams pick: Jelani Woods, TE, Virginia
  15. I downloaded my own board from DraftTek into excel, and have been keeping track separately. So I wouldn't have to keep going back to what was posted earlier in the thread. I missed your picking Quay Walker and picked him myself later on. So I was just joking that I'm probably going to do the whole thing all over again! Wash, rinse, repeat! So... the Rams pick isn't until almost 10:00. Will see you in nearly 3 hours!
  16. The Houston Texans have back-to-back picks. With the 107th pick in the draft, the Texans choose Brandon Smith, OLB, Penn State With the 108th pick in the draft, the Texans choose my favorite player in the draft Smoke Monday, S, Auburn Now I'll wait for @NFLfan to tell me that Brandon Smith was already taken. (waiting)
  17. My original thought was for a 3-round mock draft. After that, it just gets messy, fewer people pay attention, etc. So you took Quay Walker already? Hmmm.... This is the spot in the draft where all of the TE's were gonna come off. But I already chose one. Maybe Sam Williams, Edge, Ole Miss
  18. Had we gone another round, Houston had two of the next three picks. I would have added significant physicality to their defense: 107 Quay Walker, ILB, Georgia 108 Smoke Monday, S, Auburn
