I still like AD Mitchell if he's there at 46 or a slight trade down.

I’m just hoping Indy comes away with one of Harrison Jr, Nabers, Odunze, or Bowers. The less we have to give up to get one of them the better.

If Ballard trades all the way down to 29 and only gets a 2nd out of the deal he should be fired. You have to get a haul to move that far.

Would be a stupid move to move up for a corner considering there’s aren’t any sure fire shut down corners in this draft. There’s no one who’s as good as prospect as Sauce Gardner and Patrick Surtain were.

I would add Odunze and Turner as well. Both players would be great additions as well as Bowers.

This is just me but I would be hugely disappointed if the Colts went with DeJean at any point in round 1. He projects best at safety in the NFL and that position has devalued over the last few years.

Why deal Pierce away when all you get is a 6th rounder out of him?

If Brian Thomas can run all the routes and be an all around WR I’d be completely happy with trading down to the early 20s if they feel Thomas will still be there, and pick up an extra 2nd and possibly a little more in the process.

For me it depends on how the Colts view Thomas in terms of his route running ability. If he can run numerous routes well he can be a great all around WR. If his routes are limited to deep routes similar to what Pierce is best at, then it’s probably a wasted pick.

I hope Ballard doesn’t pass on Bowers if he’s there at 15. He’s not just a TE, he’s a do it all weapon this team and Richardson could use. As for WRs, the drop off from 1st round WRs and mid 2nd round WRs is pretty drastic to me, so I’d prefer just going all out and getting an elite one if one were to fall to 9 or 10.

What is the best addition that could be made to give Richardson the best chance to take the next step to becoming the Colts franchise QB? Most would agree that is the most important thing to accomplish this offseason.

Would it make more sense if Ballard were to trade up to do it before the draft or while it’s going on? Would the compensation needed to give up be more or less if done before? Obviously Ballard would need to know a certain player or two would be available at whatever spot he traded up to if he did so before the draft. I know those trades don’t happen too often but just was curious.

I mostly agree but I could see Dallas Turner having an immediate impact with possibly 8 sacks as a rookie. Really hope Odunze falls to us or one of the big 3 WR1s falls to 10 overall, well within striking range to get them without having to give up too much.

If we’re looking to add a Jack Doyle type TE I would look at Cade Stover in the 4th round.

See I actually heard from an ESPN reporter who covers the Titans that the Colts didn’t offer a contract to Autry. It was Turron Davenport who reported that.

I think that stat showed Turner is a guy Raheem Morris and the Falcons would want. They lack a pass rusher. If we move up to say 9-11 I think it’s for Nabers or Odunze.

I’ve done numerous mock drafts on PFN to where I was able to trade down with Tampa at 26 and get their 2nd and 2025 1st. Then I would select AD Mitchell each time at 26.

Yeah I think it’s entirely possible Ballard wants to trade up for one of these elite WR1 prospects if they were to fall to the 9-11 range. Would dynamically change this passing attack and we would be in the conversation for one of the best WR cores which would obviously help Richardson.

He’s a safety. I don’t want the Colts drafting a safety high as it’s not really a high impact position and as we’ve seen this offseason safeties aren’t really valued like they used to be. Unless you have a special player like Polomalu or Sean Taylor obviously.

Agreed I really want an Odunze or Nabers on this offense. But I’d also be happy with Bowers. To get the WRs you may have to deal up to 9 to do so which I’m good with if you aren’t giving up a haul.

This is just my opinion, but Ballard has to come away with an impact explosive playmaker in the passing game to help Richardson in this draft. If a Nabers or Odunze were to be there at 9 or 10, I think you have to deal up to get them so long as you aren’t giving up a haul. Unless you are confident Bowers will be there at 15. You gotta score to keep up with Houston, and even the Titans made improvements in their weaponry in the passing game with Ridley.

As he should be. In my opinion AR5 has to save his job for him.

How do the Titans still have like 20 million more in cap space then the Colts after all the acquisitions they’ve made and the money committed to guys like Sneed, Ridley, and Cushenberry? Colts I believe only started with maybe 10 mil less than the TN before FA started.

Turner is widely looked at as the best edge rusher in this draft. It would be a reach imo to draft Latu or Verse at 15.
