To anyone who's getting upset by the lack of signings, you didn't pay attention. Ballard said from the get-go what his philosophy was and the local media has been telling you for months to not expect any major signings. If you chose not to listen, that's on you. Relax people.

Woof, good luck with Mariota...or whoever comes in for him off the bench.

So if the difference is $10m total, that's still a boatload of money. It's unreasonable to expect someone to just turn their nose up at that much money.
Especially when you play a game that you know will likely leave you with long term health effects. Take the cash where you can get it. People aren't even taking visits yet, so of course they're about the cash.

The point is I think is your talking millions. Your set for life and can buy anything you want. I would rather play for a winning team. Your making millions either way.
Collins grew up idolizing Sean Taylor and a Redskins fan. He even said prior to being drafted it would be a dream come true to play for the Redskins. When someone offers you your childhood dream, plus a boatload of cash, you rarely will turn that down.

Hooker has to show he can stay healthy first.
Or hopefully by then the roster is in good enough shape that if he leaves, you don't sweat it and enjoy the high comp pick.

Dan Snyder doing Dan Snyder things.

He said prior to the draft that playing for the Redskins was his dream but the Colts offer the best chance of winning.

I retract my statement. Lol. It's 4pm Wednesday players can actually sign.

No, not the real Adam Shefter.

Raiders continue to make moves
How can they even announce that if the tampering period doesn't even start until 4pm?

Would be a great signing but again this is just speculation. Pelissero just said they COULD pursue him. The Colts and Jets are mentioned in every report simply because they have the most cap space.

It's mobile responsiveness is also terrible. Practically unviewable on a tablet.

Seattle traded/upgraded/downgraded 4 of their picks that year IIRC. What they had when whatever offer was or wasn't made, might not be what they expected to have, or what they ended up with.
They had traded the 2018 2nd rounder for Sheldon Richardson prior to 2017 and the 2019 2nd rounder for Duane Brown halfway through 2017. So if they offered a 2nd rounder like you say, before the 2018 draft it could only have been a 2020 2nd rounder which is highly doubtful.

Seahawks never denied it. Some little known dude from CBS sports said it didn't happen, but didn't name sources. The Globe IIRC stood by their story, and said the offer happened prior to that year's draft (when they had a 2nd round pick).
They didn't have a 2018 2nd round pick either.

I believe it was later Denied that the seahawks offered a 2nd for Brissett
Exactly, it was false. Especially since Seattle doesn't have a 2nd round pick this year.

Never heard of Chad Forbes. He credible?
Not really, he's just another Draft talking head on twitter. He tries to connect dots but doesnt have any inside info usually.

Exactly. I think most people are aware that thisis a down year for Free Agents. Speaking to comp picks however, the Colts really don't have any high profile guys of their own this year that would net a 3rd or 4th round comp pick in return if they leave. Maybe if someone goes absolutely bonkers on Desir, but that's about it.

He'll go back to the Pats on a small deal and be incredible again.

How tall is the best DT of 2018 Aaron Donald? 6’0 . I think height wouldn’t be the issue for Gerald if he plays with same amount of juice that Aaron Donald does. Jmho.
Once again, I definitely would like a 6’3 or 6’4 kinda DT in the first. But, If not Gerald Willis III would be a nice consolation prize after the 1st. In my eyes at least.
what do I know? I wanted the Colts to get Xavier Rhodes (we picked Werner), I wanted Landon Collins (we picked Dorsett) partially because we share the same last name. Lol
one player the Colts drafted that I wanted was actually Joseph Addai. If I’m not mistaken, He’d play UM that year and had a great game against the canes. BTW when Norte Dame played UM in 2017, the only guy from ND that held UM in check was Q. Nelson. From the game I said, wait a minute, we may have something here.
Never said his height bothered me or disagreed with anything you stated here. I like the guy. Just pointing out an inaccuracy.

Pass. As mentioned above, too old, too injury prone, too inconsistent. There's also always been rumors that he may actually be a couple years older than his listed age.

He isn't though, he measured under 6'2" at the combine. I do like him in the later rounds.

Word of warning. This happens every year where "reports" come out to say the Colts are in strong pursuit of somebody, but less than half the time it turns out to be true. A lot of the time is is posturing by agents to bump up the market for their player by spreading misinformation.

A lot of teams are saying he was bad in interviews, but if the Cards are indeed already shopping Rosen, Murray aced the only interview he needed to. Whether he'll be any good remains to be seen.

That surplus cap space you are talking about will be used next season signing our own players who's contracts will be up. Just because we have a lot of money does not mean a huge part of it will not be needed.
Yep, which is why I said those 4 signings would still leave us with plenty left over to do so.
