  1. You didn't offend me, it just seems like we always butt heads. Maybe part of it is my fault. I try and respect everyone's opinion in here. As much as I think I may be right on things, I definitely don't know it all. There are many people in here I have learned from knowledge wise. Anyone that is a Husker fan, can't be all that bad . I remember you were so every time we do debate, I am like this guy loves the Cornhuskers
  2. There are no bad posters in here, let me make that clear! All I said is "some of the best posters in here", - best meaning, people that post accurate stuff with facts or that most people agree with. Bowen is not off limits, nor is anyone. I was just pointing out that many people that have great minds agree with me about JT's contract. Bowen and Query would not have their own radio show if they didn't know about football. How do you know how Irsay, Ballard, or SS really feel about JT? They haven't said one way or the other. You don't know with 100% certainty that JT won't get an extension. Look if you want to disagree with me, that is your right. I am sick of getting suckered into the back and forth's with you, you and a couple of other posters in here are the Kings at it. I will let you have the last word, enjoy the game today. I will. Word of advice, you should start your own radio show here locally, that would be cool to hear.
  3. Of course you agree with him, I wouldn't expect anything less. It is funny how some of the best posters in here think the contract I posted is reasonable and fair and Bowen and Query both have thrown out the same numbers I have as well to what isn't an overpay. So it is just not my personal opinion. Not of that matters though. Trust me, you don't know more than 2 guys that have their own radio show that is around the team 24/7.
  4. You started the melodrama nonsense by calling people fan Boys. The contract I posted is fair and reasonable. I have seen many other posters in here post pretty much what I think he is worth. BOWEN and QUERY also agree with me. To say JT is just an average pass catcher is another dig at him too. How do we fully know that when he has had Carson Wentz and had bad Matt ryan at QB the last 2 seasons. For someone that claims that he wants JT, you sure show it with all compliments you give JT which is basically zero.
  5. I like the Vikings but was pointing out that it is not just JT that deserves at least a reasonable contract. I think Cook should as well.
  6. You used the term fanboyism to the pay him crowd. Not sure why would you would even post something like that when there isn't 1 person in here that I have seen that thinks we should overpay him. All anyone wants is pay him at least what is reasonable. 39 million over 3 years with 25 million dollars guaranteed is very reasonable. He is a great RB and a HR hitter. Now if wants 14-16 million a year than I am in your camp. That is too much.
  7. Make it 25 million guaranteed and that would be a good deal for him and the Colts organization.
  8. I disagree. I was saying how important it was for the Giants to sign Barkley, that him getting the franchise tag was insulting. I have also bashed the Vikings with the way they have handled Cook. Neither team is my favorite team. There are outliers, like it or not, giving JT a contract extension that is reasonable makes sense. You may not want him here but that is your take. Anyone that thinks we are a better team without JT loses all credibility.
  9. Big road win for the Cubs tonight. Beating the Blue Jays at Toronto is never easy. Cubs now have the final WC spot again as the Marlins lost. Cubs and Reds both are neck and neck. Cubs are 60-56, Reds are 61-57. Marlins are 60-57. Fly the Flag @HOZER
  10. The Mets won 101 games last year and then added Verlander. I had them making the playoffs this year with no problem. Like you said, maybe it is no continuity. I usually blame that on coaches though.
  11. That is the mystery. Nobody even knows if JT was offered an extension or if he was, how much? We really don't know what JT wants either. There are rumors out there but they are rumors. That is the frustrating thing. I was just throwing out a contract that seemed reasonable and good for both sides. Pretty much on the Bowen and Query show they also have brought up like a contract like mine that would be fair to JT and the Colts.
  12. I will have to look that up because your contract would be a fair one. I would give JT that. I am not sure Barkley was offered that. If he was, maybe it was the guaranteed money he didn't like. He may have wanted like 25 million guaranteed, not sure.
  13. Regarding Barkley, not sure. I know he just didn't want to be franchised tagged at 10.1 Million.
  14. That is why I would not sign him longer than 3 years. He is only 24, so I figure by the time he is 27 we got his best years.
  15. Do you think the contract I offered above is top tier? I really don't, I think it is a fair one and a good one for both sides but that is not top tier. Top tier is what McCaffrey got at that position.
  16. I can agree with this, IMO it is JT's speed where he stands out over most.
  17. All I do know is this, JT put up Barry Sanders like numbers in 2021 with Carson Wentz at QB and an O.Line that struggled, especially at LT. Nelson wasn't 100% healthy that season either. We were 9-6 mainly because of JT. JT single handedly beat the Patriots when Wentz was awful. We had no pass game vs the Pats and they still couldn't stop JT. They had a great defense too.
  18. I agree, Zeke isn't/wasn't the HR hitter JT is. He isn't near as fast. He was a great RB for a couple years and got some tough yards but JT is more talented.
  19. It is his speed that stands out . I do like Barkley's overall game and Cook is impressive and they aren't getting paid what they want so I get that part of it. Being a RB right now is just a unlucky spot to be in. I am on record saying we should maybe give JT something like 3 years for 39 million = 13 million a year. I think it was either Query or Bowen that said the same thing, that a contract like that is fair and should make JT happen. Maybe make 20 million of that guaranteed. McCaffrey got 38 million guaranteed on his 4 year/64 million dollar deal. I wouldn't break the bank for JT but I would pay him handsomely.
  20. When it comes to JT, for some reason some in here are having a mental block and they don't factor in that he is a homerun hitter. Not many teams have that. On any given carry he can take it for 60-80 yards, all it takes is just 2 of those a game and that could be the difference in scoring 10-14 points more in a game. He is an outlier.
  21. My heyday as a fan came in the 80's and 90's when my Huskers could get 10 wins in their sleep. 3 AP National Championships = 1994, 1995, 1997. The 1983 team would have been National Champions had Osborne just kicked the extra point and not gone for 2 at the end of the game vs Miami (a tie would have gave them the title). The 1987 team was outstanding as well, blowing teams out all year but they got tripped up by Oklahoma at the end. Since the 2000's began, my Huskers have been a pile of poo
  22. Mets need a new manager because no way that team with Pete Alonso and Francisco Lindor should have the record they have. Even with their ups and downs, they should at worse be a .500 team and in the thick of the final WC spot.
  23. Chemistry and health sometimes out weighs great talent as long as the team has good talent and a great manager.
  24. Cody Bellinger would be the NL MVP if it wasn't for Acuna. He has turned his career back around. This team has a great feel to it because of chemistry. They all play for one another, they aren't as talented as the 2016-2020 teams but they rarely take a day off.
