  1. In a perfect world he should play out his contract. It is a rookie contract though at 4.6 million. The league has changed a lot compared to 15 years ago where players almost always played out any contract they have. If Taylor was in the middle of a great 5 year deal and it was year 2 and he was complaining wanting more money, that would be way different. I would then say Taylor is dead wrong and being greedy.
  2. @csmoparposted the same thing, it is a great counter to my thinking because others are going to post that too, but a lot of players that are real unhappy, just flat out say they want out.
  3. If I am the GM of our team. I only trade him if I get a 1st round pick in 2024 and either get a good O.Lineman or good CB that is 27 or younger to go with that. Robert Hunt just turned 27 4 days ago, I would take him and a 1st round pick in 2024 for example. If I don't get that, I keep Taylor and he, the Owner, and I have a long talk in my office about football and maybe getting a deal done. I would still throw him the offer of 3 years/39 Million and guarantee him 25 Million. I could not see him passing that up after all this nonsense.
  4. I think some people and the media thinks we are just going give them Taylor for a 2nd rounder and nothing else, that isn't happening, if it does that makes us look bad. That would be a terrible trade on our part.
  5. She hit the nail. No teams are presenting a great offer and we aren't giving him away.
  6. Of course, teams act like we are just going to give him away. Not happening unless we get a great deal/a lot in return. He is our best player.
  7. Aaron Rodgers said he wanted out of GB, Russell Wilson said he wanted out of Seattle. Players that are real unhappy usually speak up.
  8. I knew people would say that but if he wanted traded or was that unhappy, he would have said so. A lot of players have done so in the past. Hell, I remember in basketball years ago Kobe Bryant in an interview said he wanted traded from the Lakers unless they get him help, that was after Shaq left.
  9. I am starting to think JT won't be traded. He still could be but I never bought into the hype that he would be. Irsay done all of this to let JT explore and see what his worth is and for RB's it isn't high. Regarding twitter and the media, most of those people were believing what the agent started. Then they ran with it and it became an overblown story. I nor anyone has heard JT actually say he wants traded. It was his agent and the media saying it. If anyone has a link that JT says he wants to be traded, I will say I was wrong. If he has, I missed that one.
  10. Ugly. Luckily we didn't lose any ground and are still in the 5th spot. 6 teams get in so we are still in good shape. I am flushing tonight's game against the Brewers
  11. Arizona is a the pain in the rear, they are better than what I thought. It is far from over though. Cubs aren't home free yet, we have a lot of tough games coming up including 4 at Cincy. This Brewers set has me uneasy, here lately they have been getting lucky as hell and have won 8 in a row. We need to get this 1st game.
  12. Jefferson is a weak link but other than that you are great
  13. I still think his agent is a crap stirrer. Most agents are though but from what I have been reading, I don't think JT's agent is realistic in our situation.
  14. Bell lost a lot of money and was never the same after leaving Pitt.
  15. Yeah in baseball it really is about just making the playoffs. Best thing baseball ever did was add Wildcard teams. I remember watching in the 80's and there was only 2 divisions in each league, only the division winners made the playoffs. You would have your NLCS and ALCS and that was it. Then the WS. It was frustrating because many years there were like 3 teams in the same division that were better than the 1 team that got in, in the other division. I like the 5 teams getting in, 6 teams is pushing it, I would not go more than 6 so they still have it right. You go more than 6 it takes away from the regular season then.
  16. What is your prediction on the Vikings record wise? Do you think Kirk can finally go deep in the playoffs?
  17. Irsay really has 100% leverage unless he does give Ballard some say in this. So I agree. I think he should let Ballard take care of this because it is not a QB situation.
  18. He won't sit out, he won't get paid and it is a real bad look + a year off from the NFL makes for major rust on a position player that relies on speed.
  19. Nothing has happened yet. I am almost sure the Colts want a 1st rounder in the upcoming draft for Taylor or 2nd round pick in the upcoming draft + maybe O.Line help to go with that pick. We are not just giving a guy away that is a top 3 RB who is 24 and a HR hitter for a BigMac.
