  1. I talk to my step-dad this morning and threw out all the names I listed above who are basically top 50 QB's of all-time. He is an Encyclopedia when it comes to football knowledge and 71 years old. He even had trouble completing a full top 50 with not having Luck in it. He threw out a few more names, - Sonny Jurgensen, Randall Cunnigham, Kenny Anderson, Joe Theismann, and Tony Romo. He thinks Luck makes the top 40 but just didn't play long enough to make the Hall of Fame.
  2. I usually pick Indy every week but Baltimore has the better team. Still doesn't mean we can't win the game. We went into KC in 2019 with Brissett and beat Mahomes. Anything can happen.
  3. They have the same problem the Cubs have = BullPen/mid relief. Brewers have one of the best BullPens, hence they will win the Division.
  4. I have been a fan since 1984 and never have understood fans wanting to give up on a season, fans wanting the team to lose on purpose to get a higher draft pick, and to me tanking is a loser mentality. 1 time in 40 years being a fan, I didn't care if we won or lost and that was in 2011. That was an outlier though with major circumstance. 1. It wasn't until we got to 0-8, 2. I knew we would get Andrew Luck with the #1 pick. Once we got to 0-8, I knew the season was over and I knew Luck would be very good or great for the future of the team. Even last year, it bothered me when the Texans beat us, last game of the season. I wasn't even worried about drafting higher, I just wanted to win. Every fan is different though so I have tried to learn to respect the way they think. Some fans just watch because it is entertaining to them, some fans watch because they bet on the Colts to win or lose. I watch as a TrueFan, TrueFan meaning, it ruins my day if we lose.
  5. Talk about a kick to the teeth. I have suffered as a Cubs fan losing some of these 1 run games, but what the Reds did yesterday would make me do this
  6. I chose the Ravens but I think we have a chance. 1 to 2, and 1 were my other votes. Go Colts.
  7. Then you start thinking about QBs like Matt Stafford, Russell Wilson, Boomer Esiason, Donovan McNabb, Steve McNair, Phil Simms, and Jim Plunkett, maybe even someone like Lamar because he is major dual and has won an League MVP. See how it starts to really thin out. Luck is top 50 the more I really think about it. He isn't a Hall of Famer but top 50 is respectable. Longevity is important but so are stats, wins, talent, and accomplishments.
  8. Perhaps not, I think he does but it is debatable. I respect your opinion on it. QB's that are in the HALL: Sammy Baugh - he wasn't even a full-time QB, he played other positions as well. Sid Luckman Y.A. Tittle Bobby Layne George Blanda - was also a K. Otto Graham Johnny Unitas Bart Starr Joe Namath Len Dawson Bob Griese Ken Stabler Roger Staubach Terry Bradshaw Fran Tarkenton Joe Montana Dan Fouts Dan Marino John Elway Jim Kelly Brett Favre Troy Aikman Steve Young Warren Moon Kurt Warner Peyton Manning Definite shoe in's: Tom Brady Aaron Rodgers Drew Brees Ben Roethlisberger Eli Manning Philip Rivers Pat Mahomes - (already) It is a short list. Do you think all these QB's deserve to be in? I think Matt Ryan squeaks in, JMO. Probably 2nd ballot. I just named 34 QBs in total including Ryan, after that it gets thinner.
  9. Matt Ryan will get in. Mainly because of what you posted - longevity. He is 7th in all-time passing yards. Led his team to an NFC Championship, and he won League MVP.
  10. I suggested you taking the 3.5 and betting on Notre Dame. If you did, you would have won your bet. Irish covered. Regarding the game though, that was a gut wrenching loss. Tough way to lose. I had Notre Dame winning by 3 but I knew they would cover.
  11. NL Playoff race standings for the 6th and final WC spot. Heading into September 24th: Cubs 81-74 Marlins 80-75 (1) Reds 79-77 (2.5) ×-7 games to go.
  12. Cubs win, big win. Fly the Flag @HOZER. 7 games to go, Marlins are beating the Brewers 3-0 right now, so this win was real critical. No matter what happens, we will still be a game ahead of them at worse going into tomorrow.
  13. + Brees and Mahomes (already) so that is 30. You have guys like Ben, Rivers, and Eli that will probably get in but after that it is real questionable. I would put Matt Ryan in as well.
  14. Thank God! They had bases loaded and only 1 out and we got out of it. Still 4-3.
  15. We have 2 on and no outs in the 7th, it is 3-3 right now.
  16. Yeah but I have already said Luck isn't a Hall of Famer. We have already agreed on that. I have looked at a lot of QB's in the past, I would say 75 or so that have been good, a top 30 would be your definite great QB's. Luck is definitely top 50. The list of possibly great QB's of all-time thins out after around 40. Then you start getting into very good/good for around 20 or 30 or so. Then it really thins after 75. There are only 26 QB's in the Hall of Fame. Of course Brady and Rodgers will get in so might as well say 28.
  17. Good easy inning for Assad. Still down 3-1. To the bottom of the 4th.
